My SU-G700Mk2 arrived 3rd Jan 2024. I have owned it one day. I am learning all about it by reading the manual and playing with the remote. I must say i'm falling in love with my amp at a fast rate. I adore all My Technics separates and they're all around 30 years old. My new amp is the most expensive and I hope it lasts as long as my other equipment. Mine is black, which goes with the rest of my gear. One more thing, the amplifier doesn't deserve a one star from the previous reviewer. Myself, i'm ignoring it, you do too!!! The indepth reviews are out there and much more positive. Take the time to read them.

Unfortunately, the pre-owned unit I purchased was defective. It kept going into protect mode "F76." I had littte opportunity to actually audition this amplifier. I rated it two stars because TMR audio was great. The purchase experience was smooth and they paid for the return shipping. The purchase price was fully returned to me.
It might seem harsh to award only 3 stars. Particularly in lieu of the fact that I suspect the courier is the cause of my complaint. The mains plug which was wrapped exterior to the protective bubble protective packaging was severely damaged in several pieces and quite useless. The amplifier also had a minor dent in the surface, immediately below the mains plug. I gained the impression that my package had been stepped on! However the SU-670 is performing admirably, excellent tonal quality and generous power levels. All controls are functioning correctly being silent and positive in action.
Had this amp for a couple of years. Never thought I would love a digital amp coming from tubes but have to say I love the sound it makes, it’s detailed, clean and very clinical. I have both Technics SACD and 1210g and would love to upgrade to the reference series if I could afford it.
I auditioned this amp at the Weybridge store and Terry set it up with the Focal Aria 926. It did not disappoint ! Stunning VU Meters not only made for a visually appealing Amp but also the detailed sound did me in !
I love the amp, it’s great to look at and sounds awesome with my Q acoustics Concept 50’s. I do have one issue. When you dim the display lights with the remote it works until you change from the RCA analog inputs to the other inputs. When you switch inputs it turns the receiver off. I have contacted Music Direct and Panasonic for some direction. I contacted them today and will wait for their response. Im a little worried because I read a review from another site that listed the same issue. Other than that I’m very happy with the unit. The only reason I found the issue is I tried dimming the receiver when I was using the optical input, if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t of known there was a problem.
It's an eye-pleaser. Nice design aesthetics. It's analytical to listen to, however I could hear what I can only explain as distortion or digital artifacts in the higher frequencies through my speakers, which I assume is a result of how it processes sound (converts incoming analog signal into digital and then to analog going out). Promptly returned with care and in as close as a condition that I received it in.I would still recommend this item to those who seek an analytical listening experience, I believe it could be a fit for many speakers out there, but just not my Klipsch Fortes.
This amplifier is truly astounding. The sound stage is very rich, silky, and detailed. I exclusively listed to vinyl records and I feel excited to listen to music again! This amplifier is a great match for my speakers (KEF LS50 Meta) and has incredible drive and power. I have auditioned the Cambridge Audio CXA81 as well as the Arcam SA30 and Marantz Model 30 and this amplifier is my favorite of them all. Get one while you can as they seem to be regularly out of stock!
