Finish is not that great in that filters are quite a loose fit and one side does not quite look symetrical, I think - leading to the loose fit of the fillters . And on re-circulation very noisy. Am having to duct it to the exterior to try to get rid of some noise. But I feel it will still be a very noisy unit.

The installation person hired while buying a rangehood shows up, he does not say a word, walks in the unit, unboxes the rangehood, looks at the powerpoint and says "I am not doing this job" "I was not told that I have to install the powerpoint" (connecting the three cables to the 3 cables to the powerpoint)When I mentioned that the work order says he would have to remove the old rangehood and that is not the case (because I removed it myself) he fails to acknowledge this does not offer a solution takes pictures of the kitchen and walks outA few notesWhen the work order was being created, I was never asked whether the powerpoint was installed or anything else. Twin fans with twin charcoal filters. Also twin main filters - recommend dish washer cleaning every 2 months. All looks to be well designed and made. Twin lights are LED and all filters are easy to remove. The flip switch between external exhaust and recirculate modes was hard to find (hint - look inside between the charcoal filters). Had to change to the slim line front bar due to existing cupboard door size - the fixing screws were very tight - need a quality Philips head screw driver. All quite impressive for just $190.

This range hood is super easy to install. The exhaust fan is overpowered for re-circulation which can be a good and bad thing. However the built in led light which is a cool daylight is extremely poor. Being led you can't change it either. If your using this for lighting do NOT buy this item.Otherwise it's a great overall range hood.
Very good price. Easy to clean and works well. Our previous one was almost 20 years old and still working. It was accidentally damaged and we decided to use Technika again due to longevity and price comparisons. It is working well.
This rangehood does provide good suction, but overall it is a disappointment for several reasons 1) The manual available online says that the light bulb is a common E14 screwcap 3W light. However, in the actual hood that arrived the light is built-in and not user-changeable, which means that when it eventually fails, it'll be an expensive service call to have it replaced (not to mention being a couple of weeks without the light while waiting for the service) 2) The light turned out to be a tiny 1.5 W with a horrible blue-shifted spectrum, it's not very powerful and horrible on the eyes. Had it been an E14 screwcap, I would have gone to Bunnings and got a replacement straight away, but unfortunately it's not an option without placing a service call (see 1), and I'm ... MoreThis rangehood does provide good suction, but overall it is a disappointment for several reasons 1) The manual available online says that the light bulb is a common E14 screwcap 3W light. Had it been an E14 screwcap, I would have gone to Bunnings and got a replacement straight away, but unfortunately it's not an option without placing a service call (see 1), and I'm not even sure whether different versions of this light model are available 3) The hood seems to have two settings - Loud and Very Loud there is no low-power setting for when something is just simmering. So, any conversation or watching TV while the rangehood is on is near-impossible 4) The worst part, though, is ordering the spare parts. This rangehood takes only GlenDimplex' own carbon filters rather than the standard CF110 filters. The filters required cannot be bought from shops, you have to go to the GrenDimplex website to order them. That website is terrible to navigate, and GlenDimplex sent me the wrong filters (which don't fit) despite me selecting the filters specifically for this model of rangehood. So now it's been over a week of toing and froing with GrenDimplex trying to get them to fix their mistake. GlenDimplex agreed that I ordered the right filters and they sent me not what I ordered I supplied them the rangehood model yet they keep asking me what filters I need. Unfortunately neither the website nor the manual have the model number of the correct filter, so the discussion has been along the lines of "Yes, the filter in the picture you sent me looks right, but I can't actually tell for sure and don't you know which filter models which of your rangehood models" My impression so far is that this company is run by a bunch of incompetents, which already makes me want to switch to a different rangehood once the supply of carbon filters gets used up. My next rangehood will definitely be one that takes standard, easy-to-get CF110 filters.
When bought I expressed to the salesman that I NEEDED a stainless model and he ensured me it was. After pick up the box was given to my cabinet maker for installation. When I come home to new cabinets and the installed rangehood the rangehood is WHITE! I chose this rangehood because it was stainless (and told by sales team it was the stainless model) apart from that its poor quality and sooo loud!
Just a simple purchase to replace an old one. It would not be my choice if I was building a new kitchen. The same Measurements were my only consideration. It was quite awkward to install. It required 2 people. Working in a very narrow space . It is fine and is doing the job.
Installed into existing cutout easy enough. It looks good with clean lines. When on full speed, it is quite loud.
Brought this to replace a broken rangehood. Price, operation and functionality are all great the only problem was when installing the location of the pre drilled holes were really dumb and located in awkward spots near or behind the motor. They are also all on the top of the unit with none on the sides. Needless to say nothing a bit of improvisation couldnt fix.
