5-Stars for the Spine but it can DESTROY ANKLES

Such is the case with my Teeter inversion table. Starting with the positive: it is a true miracle on the back. As a former National Champion runner who stays in excellent shape, I jumped right in and by Day 2 or 3 was doing 30-60 minutes per day (broken in to 3-8 minute segments over the course of the day)... with AMAZING benefits, and seemingly without issues. However, after about a week or two, I had Ankle pain that I've never experienced before (and since I hadn't started anything else new), the cause was pretty obvious: the Teeter inversion table. (to confirm, I stopped using it for 2-3 weeks, my Ankles recovered and had no further issues), then I tried to use it again for JUST 1-3 MINUTES PER DAY; and BOOM! Within an hour, my Ankle pain was back, both Ankles, in the same spots. What's so frustrating is: IF there was just another 1-2 adjustments (OR if the Ankle padding were better designed) this could very easily be avoided. For example, if the horizontal bar supporting the BOTTOM Ankle pads had an adjustment to raise it just a few inches higher, it would be perfect. "Adjustability" of the Bottom Ankle pads is near useless because it "un-adjusts" as you go in to inversion. Best workaround to date I've come up with to avoid Ankle injury is to NOT follow the instructions (obviously you must be extremely careful in doing this); but basically DO NOT lower the TOP Ankle pads all the way. I wouldn't recommend going past 45 deg when doing this... and usually I hold the side bars as an extra precaution; but this is NOT ideal because I cannot get full relaxation of the back muscles nor do I feel comfortable going to my sweet spot (60 degrees inversion). Since I am getting some usability out of the machine, I've given it 2 stars. Otherwise, I'd be returning it.

On the first use, I felt a small pop and I was like "Ohh". It felt good. Stretching is a daily routine now for me and having an inversion table is a good way to stretch the spine. I think the inversion table is a necessity and everyone should own one, even if they are sedentary.

Seeing that the decompression table did give me relief (albeit temporarily) he suggested that I invest in an inversion table.I researched several leading brands and chose Teeter for the following reason:1. FDA registration and UL listed2. online training and support3. build quality - I am 260lbs.Putting those altogether, it was a no-brainer that the Teeter FitSpine LX9 was the right inversion table for me.The first time I tried the table, my sciatic pain was gone within minutes. I used the Teeter 3 times a day and within one week, I was once again walking perfectly upright. Pain levels reduced from debilitating to quite bearable within one week. Now, a month later, most of the time I am pain-free. I used to have to "pull" myself up the stairs to get to the bedroom. The strength in my lower back and legs has returned to the point where I now only hold on to the handrail for balance, not support.I got to this point following Teeter's online video for beginners with low back pain. I use it 3 times per day as follows:First: 2 minutes in a horizontal position - This relaxes the muscles and my pelvis - especially since I use the Posture Pads as well.Second: I invert for 3 minutes and I use the Traction Handles - 10 seconds on then 10 seconds off for the first minute or two. (I started at 20-degree inversion, then increased 10 degrees each week. Now, I do one minute at 60 degrees, then 1 minute at full inversion, then 1 minute at 60 degree)Third: I return to horizontal and slowly return to the mounting/dismounting position over the course of 1 minute. To summarize: in just one month, the FitSpine got me from living with excruciating pain, to being pain-free 90% of the time.THANK YOU, TEETER!

Spent time and money on about x25 chiropractic visits (tried 3 different ones) with no real benefit or anyimprovement. I genuinely did not know spinal inversion was a thing! On speaking to my old chiropractor and describing what I felt I wanted-ā€˜I just feel like if I was on a rack and was pulled gently at both ends -hands and feet-to reduce the compression in my spine and lengthen my back I’m sure that would be of benefit’….What about trying an inversion table ? he said……….might be worth a shot?………..OMG 😱 light bulb moment. Who knew these things existed? And that’s after nearly a year of chronic pain and 30 visits to chiropractors and physiotherapists!! Why oh why did no one mention this as a possible option sooner, even if it was a long shot?Ordered the Teeter Fitspine x3 and it arrived within 3 days šŸ‘ Didn’t want a cheap little gimmicky table if there was a chance of it breaking-I’m 6’2ā€ and 210 lbs (15 stone)Impressive quality and engineering and easy to assemble. My first 3 minute inversion was an epiphany no less. Instant-but temporary pain relief and that floating feeling you get after a good spinal manipulation/adjustment. So the first week of using the table was a bit of a roller coaster, with each session providing instant , but temporary pain relief lasting about 30-45 minutes each time.I can only describe it anecdotally, as my spine trying to find an equilibrium after so long out of shape and it is taking time to adjust! (sic) to a new (old) state. Not sure if that makes complete sense, but it’s a work in progress for sure. After 2 weeks I am currently pain free the last 3 days-a condition that is mind-blowing in its clarity to be honest. (You will probably understand if you have chronic back pain-it creates a fog that permeates your whole daily routine.)I am currently using the table x3 a day for 4-5 minutes each time and am at 60 degree inversion. Haven’t been vertical yet so that’s another progression for the future along with exercises while inverted.Frankly its a bit scary to think this is my new path and the improvements in my mobility and reduction in chronic pain might just be for real, but I am a major convert thus far and am dedicated to keeping with the program to see how far it takes me.The next big hurdle will be trying golf again -and that’s another scary thought after so long!Thank you Rogers Teeter!1 šŸ™

The testimonies from many satisfied customers strengthened my belief that the Fitspine really does what it is advertised to do.Soon after turning 65, my wife and I decided that it was time to give the Teeter Fitspine a try. So, I purchased my Fitspine LX9 directly from Teeter, which offered the best price with free shipping. The shipping process enabled me to track my shipment all the way from Washington state to Florida to arrive precisely on schedule. The assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. I assembled my LX9 by myself in one hour. The instructions, plus the excellent videos available on the Teeter Move app, helped me decide which settings were best for me to use as a beginner and to achieve the perfect balance I needed for my height and weight.I started out slowly, closely following Rylie Teeter’s wonderfully helpful videos on the Teeter Move app. Within a few days I had experienced noticeable back an hip pain relief. By Week 3, I had advanced to to very comfortable and relaxing full inversion and absolutely ZERO back and hip pain!I eagerly look forward to my daily Fitspine sessions. Just like Harold Teeter says in the commercials, ā€œTeeter saved my life!ā€ I am eternally grateful to Mr. Teeter, Rylie Teeter, and the entire Teeter Team! A mere ā€˜Thank you’ does not adequately express my sincere appreciation for all you do to make your superior quality products available to the world. But, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

There is almost an addiction to using this. I’m wondering if it is that aspect of increased blood flow to the brain. I’m surprised that there isn’t more of that uncomfortable feeling that my head is going to explode from all that blood going to my head. Probably because I gradually invert and rock some before spending more time fully inverted. Now for my somewhat negative experience. The ankle mechanism that you hang by hurts my left ankle. It’s a bone that evidently protrudes more and causes me occasional pain. I say this to warn that different people may experience different comfort levels using this. My wife is not using it because she experiences pain in her ankles from the support mechanism likely because of her lymphatic problem. She also doesn’t enjoy the sensation of being upside down. It makes her feel out of control. The design of this Teeter really does give you excellent control of your rate of inversion. Our original intent was to try this out and likely move it to the basement. As often as I use it, I don’t foresee moving it out of the front room corner anytime soon much to the dismay of my wife. Fortunately this is not an unattractive piece of furniture. All in all, I’m super happy with this purchase.

It looks so easy on the demonstration but for some reason l can't come up without assistance. It's something I am working on.Delivery was quick and DHL kept me informed the ETA but be aware table is heavy and takes up some space. All in all it is worth it. I cannot out put a price to the pain relieve l have experienced so far and l am sure my body will continue to heal.PS. The material is cat friendly as they will not scratch the heavy duty plastic, l had to consider this when shopping around for an inversion table.Disclaimer: although the Teeter Table is something l would recommend, it might not be everyone with back issues and would advice to speak to your medical provider before purchasing

Male, 65 years old. Purchased my Teeter about one month ago. Suffered from periodic lower back spasms and nerve pain, as well as hip discomfort.Amazingly, I experienced relief for both issues, much sooner than I had a much sooner than I had anticipated, when I started using the LX9.I began my therapy at 30 degrees inversion, gradually increased to 60 degrees and the head blood flow discomfort issue I read in reviews was minimal.I’m not cured, but the pain is reduced and some days non-existent, which was a shocking surprise. In my opinion, Teeter is a superior company overall. For me 15-30 minutes a day is providing me with 150% results and allowing me to return to a somewhat active lifestyle again.Regarding the financial aspect of this product, I did purchase the equipment on sale, but due to the results, I am thinking about reducing the frequency of my monthly scheduled chiropractor visits. This could offset my initial cost for the product in a year or two.My gratitude to the Teeter organization for making this a win-win situation for me personally.

worsened my lower back pain
27 March 2023

I did my research before deciding to buy an inversion table, and before deciding to buy a Teeter inversion table. I really wanted it to help my lower back, which has condensed and bulging discs. I followed the instructions. I intended to give it 30 days before drawing a conclusion. However, after 20 days, my lower back was significantly worsened. I have been doing yoga for years, plus walking/hiking extensively. Last December I added swimming to my exercise routine, all in the hope of improving my back situation. After having used the inversion table for 20 days, I was experiencing more pain while swimming, walking, doing yoga, and especially while standing. Furthermore, I could no longer stand up straight due to the exacerbated pain. So, I stopped using the table for a couple weeks. I continued my usual exercise routine, and improved my mobility with less pain. Then just yesterday, I tried the table again, but with less incline, and for only a minute or two, twice during the day. It resulted in, again, worsening my pain. I will wait a couple more weeks and then will try only a slight incline to see if that improves anything. If I could return it for a refund, I would.
