The steamer fit perfectly on tefal pot/pans but item was reduced so didn't come with a lid...used other saucepan lids which worked fine.

Having recently acquired an induction hob I bought this to sit on top of the saute pan as recommended but the gaps on two sides of the lid are too large and therefore let out far too much steam as well as slowing down the steaming process. The set up is nothing like as effective as the pan and two steamer baskets which I have used for many years on a conventional hob. Very disappointing. In addition the lid doesn't fit the saute pan when not using the steamer which means yet another purchase.
Great little steamer and lid which fits perfectly within the Ingenio range and adds a very versatile option to steaming food, especially delicate fish dashes
This works great with the sauté pan it’s very wide so big enough for a family amount of veg. Being wide also means it’s great with a plate which can be used to keep food warm too
We got a full set of Ingenio pans as wedding gifts. We had to return our first steamer insert after 3 years because the handle on the lid fell off due to rust. We got a replacement free of charge from John Lewis and we made sure that we only hand washed it. The same thing has just happened again after just over a year, with the handle coming away from the lid as I lifted it. We are not sure why it has only happened to the steamer lid and not the others - perhaps because we use it more than the other pans. It is a shame because we like the set and they are easy to store.

I am a fan of the Tefal Ingenio range and have converted many who have visited my kitchen. I give this item a poor rating as it is an accessory over a 24 cm pan item which is not available via John Lewis. As another user points out, using it with the larger pan on sale means loosing steam and efficiency in the cooking process. A strange oversight from an otherwise very good retailer.
