Did a lot of research and was quite hesitant to go a “no brand” heat pump dryer but after comparing reviews of top end heat pump dryers (was considering a Bosch to match my washer) compared to Teka’s I decided to take the plunge. To my surprise, this dryer is pretty good after trying several functions to get the right mode for me. For me, I just mainly use the “Warm” timed setting and set it for 2 hours. This will thoroughly dry a washing machine load of towels or sheets easy. I don’t bother fluffing about with the other settings now. That’s my go-to setting and works every time. The only things to note for this dryer and I imagine most heat pumps: 1. Always clear the lint traps after every use. 2. Always empty of water reservoir after every use. If you can commit to these two above, then the heat pump dryer is for you. You will enjoy: 1. Soft but dry clothes/sheets and fluffy towels 2. Quiet and condensation free laundry room I also chose this dryer because of its smaller footprint because most heat pumps are massive and my European laundry is small. I love the large door/opening - it makes loading wet laundry/sheets and towels a breeze compared to my old vented dryer. No frills dryer. I’m so glad I took the risk! :) highly recommend this dryer to anyone still unsure about Teka.

Having looked at other reviews, I can agree that the best way to use this dryer is to always set it on "Mix" setting, click the booster 3 times for extra drying time, and it works like a dream. The timer adjusts using sensors so although it might say 4 hours, it alters to about one and a half hours after a few minutes. Dries really well.

Good quality and great price!

I bought the Teka Heat Pump dryer just over a month ago and I'm super happy with it. I use it more often than my previous dryer due to the improved energy rating and it dries the clothes faster than the stated time due to the sensing function. It has all of the features I was looking for and at half the price of other heat pump dryers. Easy to empty the condenser container and there are two lint filters. It's also quieter than my previous dryer, and I don't need to ventilate the laundry while it's on due to heat pump technology. It's a great dryer so far for the cost. Definitely happy with my purchase and value for money.

I bought Teka Heat Pump dryer about 6 weeks ago, and very happy with it. It takes a few loads to get used to how it dries, but now that I've worked it out, I love it! The instruction manual is a bit basic and doesn't even explain how to install the water outlet hose. I did have to read a few instruction manuals from other brands online to get a better idea how to work everything, and the best settings, but apart from that, I have no complaints about the dryer itself. Don't compare it to a vented dryer and expect it to work the same. Yes it does take longer to dry clothes, but I bought it knowing that. It is far more gentle on our clothes. I dry my husbands work shirts and other things I would never have put in my old vented dryer. So far, I would definitely recommend it and don't see a need to spend twice as much on higher end brands.

Delivered and installed next day and they took old clunker away I carefully checked the product reviews and this product has not disappointed so far after a few months use. I cannot recommend the Heat Pump enough. It doesn't flood house with heat and humidity; you just pull out the dry clothes, slide out the water tray, pour out the water, clean the filter and it's ready for next time. Not a 'big brand' name with a big brand price so great value for money, reliable so far and very energy efficient. No issues. Highly recommended.

The dryer has definitely made life easier. Looks nice in the laundry, not super loud, and performs as expected so far! The only minor annoyances I have with the machine would be that it does not have reverse cycle as described- so sheets in the drum get balled up and don’t dry very well. The functions are pre set times that you can’t adjust and the sensor dry isn’t THAT great. My load will stop because the dryer says they’re dry, but when I check they’re still humid and a bit damp. This means I have to run a “timed” cycle for 20-30 min more just to make sure they’re actually dry. The lint tray is small and needs to be cleaned every dry (which is fine) BUT the lint vent also needs to be cleaned every dry even though it recommends every few months. So far so good

We purchased this dryer to replace a 10 year old vented dryer to be more energy efficient. So far it seems to be doing this. It is a little tricky to find that sweet spot with regards to settings and what works with what material. Noise level is very good. We hardly get any dust from it, if any. Remember to buy a anti vibration mat with it. With had the small square anti vibration mats that only go under each foot and they are not good for this dryer. Build quality is very good.

The old Simpson dryer I bought over 30 years ago finally bit the dust. It cost me $110 in 1983. Did some research on dryers and decided on a heat pump dryer. Bought this one in the boxing day special frenzy at really good price in my view. Absolutely a great dryer and very good German brand, very easy to use once you figure it out which takes me the two negatives driven by the instructions which soured the experience a little: (i) the instruction booklet is not for those of us with poor eyesight and very poorly written, and (ii) set-up and operating instructions are legendarily bad in my view, I still have a drainage hose of sorts left over and no idea where it would go or why. Other than that, now that I have it running to my satisfaction, I think its brilliant

Wonderfully priced quality machine

I read a lot of reviews online before purchasing the arena 7kg heat pump dryer. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews regarding drying time but not enough not to purchase. I should not have been concerned. This dryer has been amazing. The drying time is dependent on the load you put in the machine so while it may say that the load will take 4 hours it will finish the cycle when it detects the load is dry. The clothes come out fluffy and perfectly dry and a normally clothing load takes approximately an hour. Of course dependent on the type of clothes etc. We could not be happier.

Worthwhile investment
7 March 2018

We purchased this dryer a month ago because we had limited space to dry outside and no way of venting a traditional tumble dryer. The lower running cost made it an attractive option compared to other options. While heat pump dryers are expensive, this one is very affordable for what it offers. It does not expel too much heat into the room, is simple to use and relatively quiet (though certainly not noiseless) and generally dries things in one go (even large loads). There are two lint filters and the water tray to maintain, but this really doesn’t take too long. Overall I’d certainly recommend it if you’re considering a heat pump dryer. It’s probably the best ‘bang for your buck’ option on the market.
