I decided to try these after wearing through my first pair of climbing shoes. I have some food issues (bunions) and find most all shoes excruciatingly painful. I had tried on a pair of the Mundaka's some time earlier and remembered how comfortable they were for such an aggressive shoe, and looked into the line more for their basic shoe, bringing me here. I would say the rubber is a little stickier than the Tarantulace, but not by a lot. The shoe is also more flexible, but again, but by a lot. These are my gym shoes, but I also wear them outside most of the time and I use them for all but my project grades (which isn't that high- 10a-10d depending on the style). I've had them nearly two years now, with probably 1 year of consistent use and the rubber is holding ... MoreI decided to try these after wearing through my first pair of climbing shoes. They're comfortably snug, but I don't wear my shoes very tight due to the aforementioned bunions.

This is the second set for my daughter only because she put grew the last pair. They have excellent grip and are very comfortable for climbing shoes. They are definitely a more mild shoe and might be ok on some easier outdoor routes, but I just haven’t convinced her to climb outside yet. Overall they hold up incredibly well with regular gym usage.

After two months of use, I love this pair of shoes. These moderate climbing shoes are great for beginner indoor and outdoor climbing. After breaking in, they're comfortable to wear for a 2-3 hour climbing session. The sizing was perfect for me and I did notice the adhesive coming out on the sides a bit after regular use.

I bought these about two weeks ago and based on the sizing guide I ordered a 7 thinking that these were in women's sizing although after my second day wearing them I realized they were a 7 in mens and not women's. I am normally an 8 in women's so I wanted to size down but being that they are a mens 7 they fit more like an 8 so the shoes are a bit roomier than what I would like so no small toe holds for me ://. I am sad I got too excited about the new shoes and added some wear to them so I can no longer return them and the moment they start to break in it will time for me to get new shoes again. Other wise the shoes are amazing, I love that with the laces I can form the shoe to fit around my arch. Also I think they would be good with small toe holds but due to conditions stated previously I would not know.To those at Moose Jaw please specifically state the gender of sizing or add in the European sizing for more clarification. Also perhaps take off the women's sizing guide so you don't have anymore disappointed customers.
I did not use these to climb in rather only writing a review to help those looking for the right size. I consistently wear a women's size 8 and ordered these in a size women's 8.5 which is a men's 7.5. This shoe is considered unisex so goes off men's sizes. It was a tough decision as I was between this shoe and and the Evolv's Elektra. The fit on this was a good snug (not uncomfortable like other climbing shoes I have tried) and I felt they would likely stretch but when it came down to it my feet felt better in the other shoes. I'd say if you want a snug fit go a half size up from your regular shoe size or if you want a more relaxed fit go a whole size up. Maybe in the future I'll order a whole size up. The shoe offered all around comfort for the slightly snug fit.
Honestly took awhile to get used to them. They fit perfectly but they are just very slippery shoes compared to my previous evolv and soill shoes. It's what I get for wanting to be cheaper. I stand in the middle of recommending them and not. So though they are adequate for what I am doing I dont think i would recommend them. I feel like they have no stick and the shoe kinda rolls around edges instead of staying on them.
I ordered them online to ship to the store. I took them them knowing they weren't a good fit because these are wide and I have narrow feet. There's quite a lot of room in the toebox. I liked that they were vegan and specifically bought them because of that. However, I'm considering returning them because the rubber isn't as sticky as I had hoped. I was slipping off holds which I was doing fine with my worn through black diamond momentums.
So these are vegan which I am not but I do think that is cool. First pair I bought at the store and everyone working was having a good time and nice and let me try on a ton of shoes which was very cool. I climb in a gym at least twice a week. The first pair got some splits by the toes after a year of overly aggressive toeing of things. The second pair is nice and grippy and is working much like the first pair but brand new. I have slightly wide feet and the lace up is nice for adjustments. I can walk well enough around the gym without taking them off but they are more aggressive than just flats. If these are discontinued I would likely try another shoe by this brand as they fit me well. Price is right as well!
These shoes are great. They stretched out into a great fit with my foot, the flex is nice enough for some intermediate climbs but solid enough to support my feet still without losing everything in the arch. My big toe doesn't seem to be sitting perfectly in the pocket anymore now that the shoes are broken in, but perhaps it just doesn't feel as painful any longer and I'm having a phantom feeling. These run large, I went two sizes down
The shoes run on the larger side so I went half a size down. I was testing alternatives to the Five Ten Moccasym. These shoes are comfortable like the Moccasym but less breathable so my feet ended up more sweaty. I get less sensitivity from these shoes in comparison as well. The rubber on these shoes are also slippery in comparison to the Moccasym C4 rubber by Five Ten.
