Anyway, heres some relevant data from the CHARGE_STATE endpoint after installing the connector: "charger_power" = "11" "fast_charger_type" = "ACSingleWireCAN" "charge_rate" = "35.5" I highly recommend the Tesla High Power Wall Connector.

I use it to charge my new Model 3 at 48 amp, it's twice as fast as the charging cable that comes with the car. Press the button on the wall charger also opens the charge port on the car. So cool !
This Tesla Wall Connector works exactly as intended. In order to charge at 80 amperes (maximum for this unit), you have to wire for 100 amperes and use a 100 amp circuit breaker. This is because the National Electrical Code requires that any circuit breaker that has to operate continuously (I.e. more than 3-4 hours at a time) not be loaded to more than 80% of its nominal value. For a continuously operating 80 amp device, this means a circuit breaker rating of 80 amp/ 0.8 =100 amp. To have a 100 amp circuit, you need to use 2 gauge wire which is VERY stiff and difficult to bend and fit into a box. Theoretically, since the charger draws only 80 amps max, you could get by with 3 gauge wire which is slightly easier to work with. The clamps for the wires inside the charger are located very deep inside and the holes for the wires cannot be seen directly. Manipulating stiff wires into these holes is VERY difficult. Item as described, arrived promptly and performs well. I had this installed because the factory cord was too long and did not fit between my garage doors. This looks better and doesn't interfere with the opening and closing of the doors. So far the car charges normally. I recommend this product and this seller to anyone looking for a clean Tesla installation where a short cord would be more advisable. P.S. I also bought the warranty, just in case.

The quality and simple set up was great! I mounted it and prepared everything for the electrical to be connected. Scan QR code with phone and connect to your WiFi. Connected to 60amp breaker. Charges @ 48miles/hr, with off peak scheduling makes it a breeze!! Well worth the convenience and speed!
When you install it with a 60amp breaker and 6 gauge wires, it works well. 50% speed increase vs the normal 32amp one I had. More than enough speed
