Teton Sports Leef Ultralight Mummy Sleeping Bag Perfect for Backpacking, Hiking, and Camping; 3-4 Season Mummy Bag; Free Stuff Sack Included
Typical mummy sleeping bags are lightweight and less bulky than rectangular bags — but they’re also notorious for being too snug. The TETON Sports LEEF Sleeping bags are nearly four inches wider and noticeably longer than standard industry sizing. Our “short” bag is roomier than the industry regular, and our “regular” is more like an industry long. TETON’s LEEF bags provide superior lightweight comfort in three temperature ratings, and the pocket-friendly price will leave wiggle room in your wallet.

Before purchasing the Teton Sports Leef 20° Munmy Sleeping bag I messaged Teton and asked if what the comfort rating on this bag was. They responded back saying that bag was comfort rated to 41°. A big jump from the advertised 20°, the bag will keep you alive at 20° but not remotely close to warm. I tested the bag out overnight in temperatures between 42-45° with only a pair of midweight thermals. I wouldn’t ever say I got “cold” but I was never warm or very comfortable. Overall the bag is still good for the price and packs down fairly small. Just know the bag is not for 20° and if you’re camping below 45° you’ll more than likely need to layer up significantly. If Teton was more transparent about their comfort ratings I would likely give this product 5 stars.

After many hours/days of research and countless hours of looking up reviews I decided to buy the Teton Leef 0. I found out about Teton when I was looking at buying a travel pillow and bought their Teton Comfortlite self-inflating pillow, which I absolutely love!I can't believe how well made this bag is and the comfort is outstanding. All of the reviews out there speak about the plush and soft interior lining and they are not wrong...it's that nice. I wanted a bag that was as lightweight as possible without sacrificing warmth and there doesn't seem to be any bag at this price point that comes close. I am 6'2', big and really like to move around and thought a mummy style bag would be restricting but the generous dimensions of this bag gives me ample room to move and ... The zipper is butter-smooth and the weight at 4.2lbs is certainly manageable for a bag that is a 0 degree rating. Fits back into the stuff sack easily and the straps on it allows it to be compressed to a size of a basketball. When I spend this amount of time researching products it is rewarding when the gear lives up to the high standards I set in my mind. Teton matches this...so I also bought the Mountain Ultra 4 which I'm excited to have arrive next week.Special shout out to the customer service team at Teton as I had questions on some of their gear and they were the best I've dealt with.Such a great company. Congrats.

We used the Leaf 20 bags on a recent 3 day hike in trip to the Manistee River Valley (Michigan). These bags are relatively light, pack down well, and fit easily into the bottom compartment of our packs. Forecast lows of 50 F, but we could see our breath early morning while set up next to the river - we all stayed warm and slept well. Something we discovered while using these is that if you feel 'closed in' you can unzip the bag, turn it over, keep your feet in the footbox and use the rest of the bag as a blanket. This worked really well. The bags are designed larger than the mummy bags I have used before, and allowed for a fair amount of movement. Fabric is comfortable, insulation is warm, quality is typical Teton. Can't beat the price either. We use these in place ... I have used this bag 3 times and it has overachieved my expectations. When it says 0 degree, it means 0 degrees. It is an amazing cold weather bag!!! It is a stuff able bag as well, you don’t have to be polite with rolling the bag, I stuff it in and it compresses perfect!PERFORMANCE:I recently hammock camped in 20 degrees in Arkansas, I had a CHEAP Underquilt for wind, and this bag kept me warm to the point of sweating! I slept great and had plenty of room.Honestly I would say that it will be comfortable down to around 10-15 degrees (and that’s comfort with no socks, or clothes on within the bag) Which is GREAT!!!Honest truth is not everyone can go buy a 300 dollar sleeping bag, and with this bag, there isn’t any need to.FOR ANY COLD WEATHER HAMMOCK ... Magellan hammock ($30)2. TETON LEEF 0 degree bag ($80)3. One Tigris underquilt 40 degree ($40)4. Camping tarp for cover (Amazon $20)
I am a casual camper, but when I do it I want to know that I've got decent gear that will serve me without breaking the bank. This bag fits the bill! I am a 5'10 female, and the bag was roomy, but not exceptionally so. The material is very comfortable, and I like the stuff sack with compression straps. I haven't tested the full limit of the temperature rating, but I did use it to hammock sleep on a night when it got down to 27F and a good frost gathered. I stayed warm and toasty the entire time in only my base layer (with underquilt on my hammock). If you want a good bag at a good price, this one will do! I think it will serve my needs well.
Excellent bag. I have bought 5 sleeping bags over the last few years, this one is far and away the best. Very cozy, has kept me warm. I took this with scouts to northern tier, no issues what so ever. I do have trouble getting the hood up over me easily, I am 6'2", 250#. Perhaps the long would have been better. I was trying to conserve space. But with minimal work I am able to get the hood over my head. Would buy again!
Seems a tad shorter than advertised dimensions stateI am 5'11" and honestly I am not sure I am goign to be able to fit into thisI might have to return it for the long versionI went with the regular length so it would fit in the not so true to size 85L explorer I setup just for hammock camping
2021 Leef 0*F Mummy size measurements, (there are only "Short and "Regular sizes), as specified: "Regular size" 87" x 34" (at the shoulders) x 22" (at the foot). However, fluffed out with measuring tape it measures 82" x 31" (at the shoulders" x 18" (at the foot). I am 6 feet tall and 185 pounds and this bag is TIGHT on me. Fluffed out, the vertical loft profile is about 5" so cozy at Zero degrees is questionable. Also, no inside zipper grasp to zip it up from the inside. For the money, this is a great bag for our blue heeler.
I was incredibly warm all night and I was very comfortable sleeping. I even got a little over heated at one point but definitely loved being comfortable while camping in the mountains where temps drop 30 degrees at night. My only downside is I am not a skinny toothpick girl so trying to get the zipper to zip up was a little difficult and not easy to do by yourself. I also roll around in my sleep a lot so this style sleeping bag just doesn’t work for me. Every time I’d move the zipper kept slowly creeping open till I just had to get up and re-adjust myself. So unfortunately I will be returning this for something a little more roomy
This was a gift. My brother is 6’3 and is always feeling cramped, so the xlong size was perfect for him. I like the brushed fabric on the inside and it seems decently heavyweight (although 20 is probably pushing it). Only downside is that the stuff sack isn’t very compressive, better off getting a separate one so you can crank down on it since it is quite large.
