I originally bought these as backpacking camp shoes but they have replaced my Tirra sandals for everything. They are a lot more comfortable and stay on well enough that I can casually hike and bike in them, which I can't comfortably do in regular flip flops. They're also just dressy enough to get away with on date nights. They don't last a super long time (I'm on my third pair in 4 years) but honestly neither have my traditional Teva sandals when I use them frequently.

I have some old Tevas that are three or four years old and I wear them all the time because they're so comfortable and made so well and fit so well and go with everything. I wanted to replace them before they totally wore out but the new ones are extremely disappointing. The straps are very thin fabric and too loose so when they stretch out they'll be really floppy. I don't have narrow feet so someone with narrow feet wouldn't be able to wear them at all. Very disappointing that this company would cut corners in this way. I wouldn't mind paying a little more for better quality straps. It would also be nice if they still came with brown or tan bottoms.

This is my favorite sandal. I love them! That said, the last couple pairs have seen the sole detach from the soft upper that your feet stand on. Hopefully this isn't going to be an issue that reoccurs constantly going forward. I just bought 3 more pairs and am enjoying them as always. Crossing fingers that sole detach issue was a temp issue on the last 2 pairs.
I absolutely loved the look of these sandals, so, already owning a pair of flatform Tevas that I LOVE, I decided to order these as a casual summer sandal. I initially ordered them in my regular size 9, and they were far too small. So I exchanged them for size 10. They are still wayyy too small, and the toe section cuts into my second toe while my big toe nearly falls off the sandal. The cut of these sandals is really weird and not good for anyone with even slightly wide feet. Unfortunately I cannot return them.
Myself and four girlfriends swear by this sandal. It can be a dress or casual shoe. It is great for traveling. Every year we spend two weeks in Europe, walking at least 10 hrs a day. It is light, comfortable and I feel no fatigue. I also wear it on a daily basis at home.I'm its biggest fan and would have given it a score of 5, however it does not do well on wet surfaces. I have had more than several sliding incidents where I was just able to catch myself from falling. If I am unexpectedly caught in the rain or on wet pavement, I have to walk very slowing concentrating on each step.I certainly wish that you could make a sandal/ shoe with a non-skid sole. I also would like to see a solid white or beige sandal in this style.

The foot bed soaks up water like a sponge. It also soaks up sweat and I've found they have become smelly sandals quite quickly. Granted it doesn't say anything about them being water friendly, but I find them to have these issues even when they get a sprinkling from the garden hose while watering. The big disappointment is that they have broken down incredibly fast. At first I found the cushy top sole to be quite comfortable, but now it is deeply grooved and compressed from very casual wear. The Olowahu has been my go-to flip flop for ten years. I have them in multiple colors at all times. This one (the brown) is a bit disappointing though because the straps are too tight. Usually, the fit is a little tighter until I wear in the sole and the straps loosen a bit, but the straps on this one are extra tight. I can barely slide my foot in, and definitely not without adjusting the straps by hand. I'm hoping they'll loosen as I break them in, but I usually can wear these without issue out of the box. Could be just this one pair; hopefully not a trend.
I have had several of these flip flops - they are the cutest, not ordinary looking, and were very comfy. I'm 70 years old so loved and depended on the cushiony sole over the past few years. The top straps are still perfect so the only reason I replaced them after several years was because the sole finally became flat in places due to constant summer wear. My point is - it took a few years of summer-only wear to get them thin enough for replacement. However, after only two WEEKS of wear, my new pair has totally worn down in the heel and ball areas - thin! Why, oh why did you change the material of the sole? :( I'm so sad.
I used to own a pair of these and LOVED them, but after receiving my online purchase I was very disappointed. Either the design has changed or these are being made in a different country with cheaper materials. They are super uncomfortable and are taking way too long to break-in. They also appear to be breaking down quicker. I don't remember having this problem with my previous pair, which I owned for years.
