These sandals are great for walking and hiking. I have had a pair for 8 years, walking miles a day in them, and just ordered another for fear TEVA would discontinue the shoe. I can still use my older pair for the time being or whenever. I toss them in the washing machine every now and then, just to thoroughly clean them, and they come out perfect. The material is non-destructible to the point that my old ones still look new, even as the sole is beginning to wear (barely.) The straps are adjustable around the toe part of the shoe to allow for wider feet at the toes...bunions etc. are comfortably fitted. They have a great arch support that makes them comfortable as well. I wear a size seven shoe and the size seven TEVA fit just right. I recommend them highly to anyone.

These sandals are amazing. I wear them everywhere for most things I do. They work well with casual wear and even some casual-dressy applications. They are ultra comfortable and adjustable. They aren't difficult or fussy to put on like other hiking sandals I have tried. No need to adjust straps from around the footbed, just small Velcro adjustments necessary. I love that there is no toe loop to fuss with.I suggest getting properly fitted for this sandal. I had a pair of these previously that were sized the same as my every day sneakers. After being fitted for this sandal, I purchased a size smaller and they fit so much better; much closer to the size of my actual foot.

I love these sandals. I've worn other styles of Teva sandals and they all are well made and very attractive. The Tirra style fits me best and I literally wear them all year long. I currently have 3 different colors. This year I bought the variegated grey. They go with every color and even seem to pick up color from my slacks or the surroundings.I have wide, flat feet and the two adjustable over-foot straps and the arch support make me comfortable walking or standing. In winter, I wear them around the house (with socks) so that I have the same comfort and support all year round.Teva's free recycling program for their old shoes is an added bonus.

These are the perfect sandals!! I have literally not worn any of my other shoes since buying these, not even my flip flops. I was lucky enough to find a second pair at the consignment store, so now I have two in different colors! I wear them for walking, hiking, going on the boat, and they even look cute with a dress! They are PERFECT for all kinds of travel. My feet are EXTREMELY wide, very hard to find comfortable shoes that are not nasty looking, so these are a god- send... they fit perfectly AND my feet do not look like clumsy skis. Absolutely comfortable, all day long. Cannot say enough about them, I'm going to buy 2 more pairs to put away for the future, so I can WEAR THEM FOREVER.

I discovered Teva through a chance meeting with the wife of an orthopedist after talking together with her husband about my husband's knee replacement surgery. She said she won't wear any other shoe. I had already seen an orthopedic sports medicine clinic and a podiatrist. I recalled that I had a pair of Teva I stopped wearing in the winter and dug them out for the summer after talking to this woman and what a relief!! I discovered more about foot pronation, hypermobility and arch support for my feet and bought my second pair. I have tricky feet, wide, bunions (that don’t hurt me, just strange foot shape) and a weird nerve pain issue in the pads of my feet.With other shoes I have tried a few sets of orthotics, and have had to resort to strategically placing padding and even then my foot pain is unbearable.In these Teres Tevas, I only have pain on very long walks. I’m on my third pair over the past 5 years. This year I ended up wearing mine all year long (I guess I’m a sock-and-sandal person now). I wear them till the straps are ripping, then get a new pair and the old one becomes my full-time kayaking pair/spare set for camping. I don’t know what is so perfect about these, but they are perfect for my feet.(I know this is a bit fan-girl, but honestly I do love these!)

I don't remember needing to break in the last pair, but these Tirras are stiff and rub against me everywhere, even in places where adjusting the straps just doesn't help (like the back strap). I brought them on a trip to Mexico for two weeks of beaches and ruins and jungle adventures but even after two weeks, they still hurt. I have opted to leave two out of the three straps super loose.Should have bought the classic Teva sandals, not these Tirras, As for quality, one of the straps is already detaching from its velcro. I don't normally do reviews, but I must share my love for the Teva Tirra. This is my second pair and they're just as comfortable as my first pair purchased seven years ago. My first pair traveled the U.S. and the world with me, withstanding multiple trips to sub-saharan Africa, where most sandals fall apart. The grip of the outer sole is phenomenal. I've been in the Colorado River, the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and the Great Lakes with them. I finally retired that trusty pair because the arch supports were beginning to give a little. When I bought this new pair, within one day of wear the straps were already broken in and comfortable. Please never change this shoe!
I got this or a similar sandal for the first time four years ago and LOVED them. They were so comfortable, VERY supportive, fit my feet really well. I had to get new sandals this year because the velcro wouldn't hold. This newer model is fine, but I don't love them like the first model I got. New model has adjustable straps over the tops of the feet. I completely understand why Teva did this, so people can fit the sandals more perfectly to their feet, since all bodies are so different. I don't care for it as well. Old model just had comfy straps with no adjustment. Not sure the new model has the same stellar support. I have more problems with my feet these days. But overall a great sandal. I tried Chacos and they just don't work for me.
