This hybrid sandal is perhaps the ultimate amphibian. It's a water-loving hiker with a contoured footbed, quick-dry mesh, bungee cord lace, and injection-moulded EVA for lightweight protection without the bulk. The quick-dry mesh upper is made from 30% recycled polyester, and the microfiber lining is a 100% recycled polyester that offers premium next-to-skin softness. A stretch fit collar and simple hook and loop closure makes for easy wearing. The 15% recycled EVA top sole cushions your foot and puts a spring in your step, and the outsole contains 30% recycled Spider Rubber — a high-performance compound that provides excellent grip.

Awful design

Awful design. Hard to get on and no support whatsoever. Not that attractive either, but I bought hoping they would have the support of my other Teva sandals that I love. I also got a size larger than I usually would based on some other comments, but they still don't fit. Very cheap material as well, not up to par for a Teva shoe. Going back asap

I really like the fit and feel of these. So glad they had half sizes available and that this shoe has good toe room and fits my slightly wide feet. The orange color is really fun too. Can't wait to wear them for water activities like canoeing, walking on the beach, etc.

I love these shoes
14 October 2023

I have metatarsal problems the soles of these are great for my feet. When not wearing socks my right foot farts as another person stated I didn't get them to wear in water so I wear a low rise sock. I'm now looking for a pair of Teva boots with the same sole/support to wear working in the yard.

I would not buy this product again
6 August 2023

For years I have used the Teva Hurricane XLT, Omnium and Grandview Gore-tex hiking boots. They are made from good quality materials, provide great support and are very comfortable. However, these Outflow Universal shoes are a disappointment. The sole is thin and provide no arch support. The triangle plastic is too high and hits the lateral malleolus (the outside bony prominence of the ankle). This was mentioned on one of the reviews, I should have given it more serious considerations. The fit is not the same as it is for the other shoes/sandals. I bought the same size 6 and it was too big.I only tried the shoes on once when I received them, did not even go outside. I returned them. I bought them only because at the time the Omnium for women was not available on the Teva site. I thought they were discontinued. The Omnium is available again today, I bought one. Will see if it is the same quality.Of note, I have to thank Teva for the very easy and simple return process and refund.

If you love the smell of mildew
16 July 2023

If you love the smell of mildew, these are the shoes for you. I really love the fit and feel of the shoe, but they do not drain or dry well. I wish they had put some thought into that aspect considering it is a water shoe. I love all my other Tevas, but these shoes was just a disappointment.

Really ugly!
23 June 2023

I love my Teva Hurricane sandals. These looked like a sneaker version, so I wanted to try them out! I couldn't even bring myself to try them on. They look like Walmart water shoes with unnecessary straps added on top? The straps serve no purpose other than design, and that purpose they are failing big time. They might have been as comfortable as the Hurricanes, which are not the sexiest shoe on earth, but I can't go this far down the ugly shoe path.Instant return.

Used for outrigger canoeing
7 July 2023

I am a competitive outrigger canoer and these seemed perfect! They are great because where I canoe we have to walk the canoes into the ocean from the asphalt, and I was tired of walking on concrete / rocks and then losing my sandals in the water. My only complaint is little tiny rocks get stuck on the outside in the parts that hold the Velcro straps. I have to swipe the pebbles out with my fingers several times during practice. If I don't, they stab the sides of my feet. Additionally, my ankles hit the hard plastic part on the outside of the shoe as well if I wear them for too long.Additionally, I wore these hiking / walking volcanoes National park and they were great, except for the hitting of my ankles again on the plastic part.

Worked well in th Narrows in Zion
15 June 2024

I looked for water shoes that were high quality and would hopefully not give me blisters. These shoes were perfect for the task of walking roughly 5 miles in and out of the Narrows. I wore Smart wool socks which again were perfect for preventing blisters and small pebbles and other stuff from causing problems. Some reviewers complained about the Velcro placement on the straps, for which I did not have an issue. I think if someone’s feet are quite narrow, this might be more of a concern.

not my favorite, but it works
11 September 2023

The opening is a little small to put your foot through, I wished it stretched a little more. I had to size up to what I normally wear in Tevas. When going sock-less while wearing the shoes, it makes a farting noise, which is hilarious. Other than that, it's really comfortable and can go other a multitude of surfaces.
