These sandals are great for walking and hiking. I have had a pair for 8 years, walking miles a day in them, and just ordered another for fear TEVA would discontinue the shoe. I can still use my older pair for the time being or whenever. I toss them in the washing machine every now and then, just to thoroughly clean them, and they come out perfect. The material is non-destructible to the point that my old ones still look new, even as the sole is beginning to wear (barely.) The straps are adjustable around the toe part of the shoe to allow for wider feet at the toes...bunions etc. are comfortably fitted. They have a great arch support that makes them comfortable as well. I wear a size seven shoe and the size seven TEVA fit just right. I recommend them highly to anyone.

I hike, play - live in these sandals, literally. My feet and the sandals do get dirty since I wear them all of the time. They get wet from dew, lake water etc. They get sweat from my feet. And then they get sticky. Very sticky! I have owned many, many pairs of Teva shoes for the outdoors and I never experienced this "sticky" phenomenon until I bought 2 pairs of Tirra and one pair of Verra this summer. I have old Verra from several years ago and they never got sticky and still don't. I have to wash my newly purchased pairs every week in mild soap to get rid of the stickiness. For this reason I cannot give Tirra 5 stars.

I bought two pairs the blue pair and the multi white pair from different stores. They are the same size. The blue seem to hold the velcro better. I don't know why. They are both wonderful shoes and I wore them every day during a 17 day vacation to PEI, NH, and ME. No rubbing, some pain in the arch one day. I switched the shoes to avoid that. I wore them in rain, on mountain tops, in the grass and by the shore. The cleaned up by rinsing them in the shower. I have to tell you. I purchased an expensive pair of dress sandals from another company to wear to dinner during vacation... reputable company came highly recommended. My ankles swelled like golf balls fifteen minutes after putting them on. I ended up wearing the tevas with skirts and they looked fine. No swelling ... MoreI bought two pairs the blue pair and the multi white pair from different stores. They are the same size. The blue seem to hold the velcro better. I don't know why. Took my first 2.5 mile walk with these and I could barely make it home because of the deep blisters on my achilles that had already ripped open. I would have walked barefoot if the cement wasn't burning hot. After limping home, it took months for the blisters to heal and using band aids to keep my other shoes from ripping them open again. Just tried them again on (in the house this time) to see if they bothered my feet. Like another commenter, the foam padding on one shoe dug into my foot below my inner ankle where the plastic ring is for the ankle strap, the other shoe was fine. Inspecting the foam padding, the seam was different on the bad shoe. I was sitting at my desk most of the day, I can't imagine how it would feel if I was walking. I'm at a loss with these shoes, never had this kind of problem with Teva's before. Hopefully, they will honor their warranty program and at least give me credit for a different style. These shoes are evil.
I bought this pair of Tevas because my previous pair recently died after 20 years of trips around the world. The last pair I could wear for days on end and coule barely feel them, but these ones hurt. I don't remember needing to break in the last pair, but these Tirras are stiff and rub against me everywhere, even in places where adjusting the straps just doesn't help (like the back strap). I brought them on a trip to Mexico for two weeks of beaches and ruins and jungle adventures but even after two weeks, they still hurt. I have opted to leave two out of the three straps super loose.Should have bought the classic Teva sandals, not these Tirras, As for quality, one of the straps is already detaching from its velcro. Two weeks and they're already falling apart. And ... MoreI bought this pair of Tevas because my previous pair recently died after 20 years of trips around the world. These are my first Teva shoes, and I'm blown away. I purchased them for a hiking trip in Spain, to wear between hiking days and give my feet a rest. I wanted sandals that would also look somewhat cute to wear around the cities before and after our hike, and these fit the bill perfectly. I purchased the neutral multi shade, which was perfect for my needs. One of the hiking days I was stuck without my hiking shoes, and wore a pair of thick socks with these and hiked in them for 6 HOURS of walking. No problem! My feet were a bit more tired than they would have been with a more cushiony sole, but I was so relieved for no blisters etc. Also, I only broke these in on the trip and no problems at all. Love the adjustable bands and overall comfort!
Seems to run small. I have the Verra in Incense/Olive in a size 7 and it ran small for me so I got the Tirra Neutral Multi in a 7.5 for extra toe room. I didn't get the toe room I was hoping for but I will keep these. The Neutral Multi has a nice color scheme of neutral beiges and taupe. The sole is a very different color than shown online, which is pictured as a muted orange brown. In reality it is a neutral mid-tone brown, which I prefer as it is more subdued. I wish I could include pictures in this review. The rings that hold the straps are made of plastic and that makes me a bit skeptical about their durability (on the Verra the rings are metal). But these sandals will serve their purpose when venturing in nature in the tropical climate where I live. They are comfortable, feel solid, and I like the grippy sole.
I am on the search for other Teva shoes with the same arch support as these sandals because they have been the only ones that have brought relief to my arch pains. These are my third set of the same sandals and I will continue to buy these as I need them! My first set lasted about 5 years. I wore them everywhere including every day in the Philippines as we travelled in the city and different islands. Adventures with waterfalls, hiking trails, and casual daily wear. I had my second pair for 2 years. I just got this pair a couple of months ago and I love the design. I gifted my mother-in-law a pair and she said these have been so helpful for her arch pain too. Great for wide feet too.
I bought these Teva shoes after my Chacos decided to fall apart (RIP). I wore these shoes all over Puerto Rico on a trip that was primarily active. These shoes did not give me blisters after walking 10 miles in one day. The traction was great during our hike in El Yunque rainforest where it was muddy/wet and the rocks were slippery. These also worked as water shoes when I played at the waterfall. One downside is that they don't fare well in sand. There are little grooves on the inside of the shoe and sand would get caught in it, which made it uncomfortable to walk since the sand would rub against your feet. Otherwise, these shoes are a keeper. Super comfy, great arch support, and feels snug enough that I know they won't slip off when doing some high intensity activity.
I bought these Tirras to finally replace the pair of that I've owned and wore regularly for about 13 years.I have weird feet, and it's hard to find comfortable shoes. When I finally find a pair, I usually wear them nonstop until they're literally falling apart. My 13-year-old Tevas are actually still intact, just getting a little worn down after many summers of tromping around woods and beaches and theme parks. I meticulously searched to find the absolute closest thing to the old pair, and to my delight these are pretty much identical. To tell the truth, this is more a review for the old pair- only time will tell if the new ones compare. Until proven otherwise, I will sing Teva's praises from the highest mountaintops, which I will climb in my Tirras.
