Thayers Witch Hazel Toner, Alcohol-Free, Coconut Water - 12 fl oz

I used this alcohol-free rose petal Thayers facial mist following a morning shower recently after experiencing side effects of integrating Tret into my skincare routine. I had mild flaking around my jawline with some dryness and tightness in the mouth and chin areas. After cleansing and drying, I liberally sprayed my face all over with this mist. I used my finger tips and palms to gently press the product into my face, neck, and chest areas until it was fully absorbed. I immediately noticed the dry areas of my face were stinging upon application of this product. As chemical exfoliation can create a disruption of the acid mantle, this is not an unusual experience with skincare. This product also contains witch hazel. Once all the product had absorbed into my skin, I noticed a slightly tacky texture left on my hands and face which I had not anticipated. I waited several minutes to see if the tack would dissipate, but it did not. Glycerin and aloe are ingredients in this product and may be contributing factors in this result. This facial mist gave my dehydrated skin a pretty glow that looked healthy and moisturized compared to the pre-application condition. The dry texture was no longer visible and tightness around the chin and mouth areas was lessened. Other than the slight tack, my skin was left feeling smooth, refreshed, and prepared for moisturizer. Overall, I like this product. I would not choose to spray this over makeup as a refresher during the day due to the texture it left on my freshly cleansed skin. However, it seems like a great preparation step in a skincare routine and perfect for use prior to serum and/or moisturizer application. **The photos incl’d w. this post are unfiltered/no edits. Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel is a GREAT toner! I’ve been using it for at least five years. I use it religiously after micellar water and it catches dirt and makeup that the micellar water leaves behind. In fact, when I’m in a rush, I’ll sometimes just swipe the witch hazel over my face to cleanse and feel fresh. It also has a lovely cooling effect. Sometimes when my eyes are tired I’ll soak two cotton rounds with it and hold them on my eyes for a minute or two before using them over my entire face. I have few to no blackheads and my skin is generally free of blemishes. It does have both a light rose scent in combination with that usual witch hazel scent, which I quite like; however, if you’re sensitive to scents you need to be aware of that. We where out site seeing and it was hot-104 plus high humidity. My face felt like it was picking up every particle of dirt walking around. I ran into the drug store to wipe my face down. I was pleasantly surprised after picking up Thayer facial toner witch hazel aloe Vera formula cucumber. When I first applied some to the Cotten ball I could smell the cucumber scent. Not to strong at all. I then proceeded to wipe my face. How refreshing! The toner removed so much dirt and grime. I could instantly feel my skin getting hydrated. Thankfully it was alcohol free. Effective but don't use on a daily basis

I have mixed reviews about this product. The first day I used it, it immediately removed some pimples from my face. My first impression was "Wow." However, you do feel a burning sensation even though its supposed to be alcohol free. So I definitely would NOT recommend using this product or any other Thayers face toners everyday as a toner. After purchasing, I read that witch hazel has a drying effect and seen some results of people using Thayers everyday for 2 yrs and trust me it's best to heed the warnings beforehand. According to healthline, face toners do NOT have to be implemented in your daily facial care routine. Water is the key to brighter skin! Clean your face well and drink lots of water. Use thayers for an occasional breakout but definitely not as a daily toner. I decided to purchase this because I wasn't able to buy my heritage store rosewater glycerin and really needed something similar. Pairing this with the rose toner I thought it did the job (temporarily) but felt like it was a little intense. When I waxed my eyebrows the same day, spraying this later in the evening made that area get more irritated and felt some burning over the sensitive waxed skin. Tonight, I took a moment to look at the ingredients list of the mist and toner side by side-THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. Where I like how the toner thoroughly cleanses, I'm adding an extra layer of drying product by layering the mist because it's the toner in a spray bottle! When I run out of the toner bottle I'll switch to the "mist" and finish it off. I absolutely love this toner for my sensitive skin. I have always had a mild acne, random breakouts, and just overall sensitive skin. I have tried so many products over the years. I was skeptical about trying this toner thinking it would break me out or damage my skin how so many other products have. Well I took a chance and it has been nothing but amazing results since. I was impressed at how well it made my skin look and feel. I use it in the morning and late evening and sometimes in between to freshen up my face. I wish I had tried it sooner. I purchased this product after getting a wax. I forgot to get the serum they recommended at the salon, so while I was doing my grocery shopping at Meijer I stumbled across this in the beauty section. It was not very expensive. I am assuming it worked for the after wax care. I did not have any irritation and it was very cooling, once the stinging from the wax started to irritate me hours later.I just recently got a sunburn and with my job, it is hard to stop to take a little bit to go lather myself up in another layer of lotion. I have used this spray on my face and shoulders.
