I bought this after I tried a sample version of this. It's a digestive symbiotic, and we all know that beauty starts from within--that is, our external appearance reflects our internal health. I have been taking this supplement for about 3 weeks now, and I have noticed a dramatic improvement in the tiredness, fatigue and digestive upset I was experiencing before. I purchased this product to use in combination with the Glow powder. My skin concerns were inflammation, congestion, loss of collagen (I'm 41). It should be known that this product doesn't actually contain collagen. Instead, this product relies on high strength vitamin C to support collagen production and keep skin looking healthy and plump. I hit 40 and got scared about my skin health so tried this. Although this isn't actually collagen (truthfully, there is no such thing as vege/vegan collagen) it does help nourish us from inside out with magic ingredients of probiotics, vitamin C and zinc. Now, I'll be honest, I didn't notice an immediate difference but after three/four months I began getting more & more compliments about my skin looking so great with folks asking me about my skin routine!! Also I've had zero random occasional stress or hormone blemishes since using this! So though I still have my little expression lines, my skin is naturally clear and glowing and I believe this product is a major part of that! And as well as absolutely loving the flavour, I’m super-impressed by my skin’s ability to recover from the hormonal spots such faster, with far less scarring. As taking these supplements would definitely work from the inside out, I imagine that the recent increased mobility I’ve experienced in my joints, including less, “cricking” in my neck, would be due to adding this to my daily food intake. It is NOT collagen, nor does it contain the faintest trace of collagen. Its claim is only to 'boost' your body's natural collagen production, largely because it contains zinc and vitamin C. Of course, this would all be perfectly fine, if the product was not labelled COLLAGEN in big block letters. By all means, call it 'beauty elixir' or 'skin support cordial' or 'probiotic yum juice' or or whatever other bs you like - and then claim that the vitamin C and zinc it contains help to support the body's collagen production in the fine print. But when something is labelled COLLAGEN in big block letters and is competing with *actual* collagen supplements, which *actually* contain hydrolized collagen peptides, it's really not on. It's basically the equivalent of me selling straight-up vitamin C and zinc tablets and labelling them COLLAGEN, because, after all, the vitamin C and zinc do 'help' the body produce collagen. Sounds a bit suspect, doesn't it? No wonder I didn't see any major improvements: I already eat loads of fruit and vegetables (including fermented ones), and I'm getting plenty of vitamins and minerals as it is. 'Boosting' natural collagen production doesn't really cut it as the body stops producing enough of its own. Funnily enough, that's exactly why people take collagen supplements to support skin and joint health - and this ain't one of them. So, I'm back to a much less expensive, definitely not tasty, but ACTUAL collagen powder. This stuff is so tasty, that if it ditched the misleading labelling and wasn't so expensive, I'd consider still drinking it, as an added probiotic support alongside my *actual* collagen supplement, and just more generally as something healthy and tasty. But certainly not with the word COLLAGEN brazenly scrawled across the top in all caps. Might as well say SNAKE OIL.
I absolutely love the beauty chef range. I think I've tried nearly every product but this collagen boost is a particular favourite of mine along with the glow powder. My skin feels smother, less dry and has a lovely glow. It does wonders for your gut health too. I honestly wasn't expecting to get such good results from these products but after 4 months of consistent use I never want to be without them. I love that they use high quality organic ingredients from Australia. A must try if you want an easy and tasty way to get in your nutrients.
