This hand cream works wonders. I like that it immediately provides relief to my dry hands from the continuous hand washing at work. It does not leave a greasy feeling to the hands but instead a nice smooth feeling. It has helped with the repairing of my knuckles which were beginning to darken and crack. The reason for 4 stars is the scent of the product. I'm very sensitive to scents and this one makes me nauseous for whatever reason. If there could be an unscented version or a different scent I would give this product more than 5 stars.

I have been using Hemp Hand Protector for years (20 or more). I made many trips north, in the wintertime to care for my elderly parents. I would stop at The Body Shop in the Atlanta airport and purchase a tube of this wonderful cream - I loved the texture, the healing power and the light fragrance. Since then I always have a tube next to my bed, if the skin on my hands is dry, I rub it in before I go to sleep and my hands always feel better in the morning. I just purchased several tubes because they had a good sale. Thank God, because, right now we are all washing our hands A LOT and I'm using the cream throughout the day. Buy it and love it!
I like to use this hand cream before going outside in the winter and also before bed.I prefer a lighter hand cream that soaks in entirely throughout the work day. But I prefer to use the hemp hand cream as a protectant.I sugar-oil scrub my hands then use a hydrating lotion or hand cream and then a few minutes after that has soaked in, I seal it all in with a coat of the hemp protector handcream. It does leave a slight sheen/film. I leave that on the backs of my hands but rub my palms on a cloth (or tissue) to remove any excess oils from my palms and fingertips. This stuff protects dry skin from further insult and damage.The best part of the product is the scent. This product is the only reason my hands survive the winter, nothing beats it. You don't need to use much so one 3oz tube gets me through a harsh Michigan winter easily. I probably wouldn't pay full price for it, but on sale it is definitely worth the price.I do not like the smell, but I put up with it because it works so well.My other issue is with the tube itself. It is a thick foil-like material that cracks when it bends. I keep this in my purse and it takes some abuse. There is currently lotion coming out of 3 separate cracks every time I squeeze it.
I was somewhat skeptical having tried so many hand creams, from expensive to drugstore-priced variations. But this Hemp formula is amazing and I’ve never had a hand cream that has worked so well. My seriously chapped, winter-dry hands were VASTLY improved with this wonderful hand cream. I put this thrice a day for just a week and my hands were healthy and soft again. Even my nails are stronger and growing again.This moisturizer is so heavy duty that I sometimes leave it on overnight. This cream absorbs pretty quickly, doesn’t leave a sticky feeling on your skin, and has a pleasant fragrance (to me, it is lightly grassy). It’s not offensive and smells natural. You will wake up and have baby soft hands.

This, and only this, helps with the painfully dry hands that winter brings. It is instantly soothing and comforting.A little goes a long way. Start with a small amount and massage it in. It feels so soothing that you can easily risk over-applying, which leads to greasy hands.Also, this has a distinct herbal scent that could be off-putting to some. But I love scents like lavender and patchouli, so I like it. I've been a fan of this product for years and hope it never changes. It lives up to every single claim.
I love all of the hands creams I have used from TBS. They are thick enough to be moisturizing, but absorb very quickly. I love their Body Butters too, but these are faster-absorbing. I loved the pink grapefruit and strawberry hand creams for their amazing scent and fast-absorbing. This hemp cream brings it to a whole different level. It is a little thicker and very moisturizing. It helps my hands stay happy and soft. There is a bit of a strange scent earthy scent with this hand cream, but I do not mind it. If you have dry hands and you want a really good quality cream especially for the winter, this is the one!
