Look, I'll be honest. I haven't even unwrapped it yet, so I don't know the actual condition of the book, but if the wrapping (unasked for), shipping speed (literally had shipping info the next day), and small touches (like a handwritten thank you card) are any indication, I am going to be super pleased. \n\n*I haven't unwrapped it because it's so cute and a gift.

The mostly highly decorated book in my service. It's silvered edges and faux tooled covers with its dramatic colors overwhelm its peers on my bookshelf. The pages are wonderfully filled with Poe, but could have used better design. Far better to have increased the point size of the font and done away with the unnecessary line spacing. This edition will compete with any home's bible for good looks and impressive tonnage. And Poe himself competes with any bible narrative and wins.
Presented beautifully and packed well. A great addition to anyone's bookshelf. This is a gift for someone and I just know they're gona love it. Thank you Booktopia! I have to mention the amazing customer service too. Appreciated.
Would recommend for anyone interested in exploring the classics. Can be a bit hard going due to the period it was written (1840's) but I am thoroughly enjoying it.
This book is beautifully presented. For anyone who is a collector of books. This will look fabulous on the book shelf. Also for the Poe aficionados this has everything.
I was looking forward to adding this book to my collection. Unfortunately, I never received this book. Instead, it was replace with a paperback on "White Fragility"! So very disappointing.At least I was able to return it to the store and the young lady who helped me was very nice and offered to help me find a replacement, since this item was not stocked in the store.So, it cost me $5.99 shipping cost, gas and my time to return a book that I didn't order. Not a very good deal!

it is not the same book cover shown in the photo, but the title is the same. the book is very near new, pages are still stuck together with the silver edge coating, bookmark ribbon appears to be unused. beautiful leather cover shows only slight shelf marks in spots on the bottom edge. very pleased with my purchase. great price as well. cool item.
