If you're interested to look into Sufism and its central theme of love, this is the book for you. But there are two narratives going on in this book. Elements of Sufism and love are interspersed throughout the narratives. Entertaining yet meaningful. Great read!

I'm rating the book as a physical object, as a read it was by poor by Shafak's standards. As an object, it was obviously old and previously owned by someone who turns down page corners, but not otherwise damaged. Good value for what I payed.

If you are into spirituality....this book is a must read. this is the 1st book i have read, written by Elif Shafak and ai am looking forward to buy more of her books. Title of the book some how does not match with the story inside. Love Molana Roomi and Shams Tabraizi ....... i rate it 5/5. thanks
I love this book. Shams said what all the great teachers said but in such a way that I really get it. It speaks to my heart. I think everyone should read it!
Magical, mystical, a guide to living the best life one can be. Never have I read something so beautiful. A book that will stay with me forever.
A little bit dramatic, but the events are taking place centuries ago. Captivating enough to go back as soon as I could. death of a number of main characters, don't seem like well put, or well thought through.
A book that changed my view of the world. This is my absolute favourite book.
I immensely enjoyed this book. The author artfully brings two stories together...one from ancient Sufi times weaving into another...a seemingly bland suburban modern world. Showing us that the pearls of Sufu wisdom are just as relevant today in guiding our dealings of the heart. Loved it!
