I'm super excited to try all the recipes in this book! I already made the "Cheeseburger" salad with special sauce for lunches this week - this special sauce is soooo yummy! I love that there is a picture for every recipe, plus most recipes are gluten free (perfect for me since I have celiac) and vegan (we're trying to eat more plant based). And the recipes that aren't GF or vegan, there are tested GF and vegan options/alternatives. So excited to use my instant pot for these creative and yummy-looking meals!

Oh. My. Word. This is the third cookbook by author, Megan Gilmore, The Detoxinista, and it is fabulous! Every recipe has a photo, and if needed, a vegan variation and a gluten-free variation. I have already made three recipes from the book that I received Tuesday and will be making a 4th... African Peanut Stew, today. (doesn't that sound amazing?) Y'all, if you have an Instant Pot or other similar pressure cooker, get this recipe book!

I've checked out about fifty instant pot cookbooks from the library and this is my favorite. Healthy. No refined sugars. AND all the recipes are delicious. I bought this book for my mother and sister in law also.

I can’t say enough great things about this book!! Easy, fast, and delicious recipes. We have been blown away by each one we’ve tried. The author gives a lot of great tips and tricks on using the instant pot and when you can make substitutions for certain ingredients. I’ve been telling everyone about this and just picked up another for my mom. Highly recommend!!
I've purchased several Instant Pot cookbooks in the past, but I don't end up using them. This is the first one that I know I'll use in its entirety since the recipes are easy to follow and super tasty. Megan has shared some of her work through videos and the preorder bonus recipes, and I'm so impressed! This book includes pot-in-pot recipes that are incredible because they save so much time by having you cook rice and grains in two separate containers but at the same time. The best part is that this book truly has options for everyone, while still offering vegan (tested) options for every recipe. She always gives tasty alternatives. While I won't eat the chicken or meat, I'm happy to see that all the recipes have vegan options, and if I want to cook a non-veggie option for family, I can just pick up her book and make a healthy dish!Do yourself a favor and get a copy of Megan's book. You'll probably want the other ones, too. If you're not convinced, just check out her recipes on her website first. You'll see how easy and tasty her food is. I've never been so impressed with other healthy cookbook recipes, but Megan's recipes are incredible.
I gave this as a gift and had a chance to look through it first. It is very nice in appearance and recipe layout. I decided to order one for my Instant Pot loving sister, and one for myself to adapt to my stove top pressure cooker. Little did I know that I would receive an Instant Pot a few days later! The recipes look great and there are several good vegetarian recipes, which is what I'm interested in. Target was spot on with it's claim of fast free delivery.
The Detoxinista has been testing these recipes for months, and I'm so excited that the book is finally published. Megan has managed to create even more creative, varied and yummy meals, this time with the ease of cooking in an Instant Pot. I'm making Egg Roll in a Bowl tonight and will have no mess on my stove because all cooking will happen in my Instant Pot. This is the third of Megan's cookbooks I've purchased, and all of them are excellent. Each cookbook has health and diet tips, and the recipes enjoyed by my entire family. The photos are gorgeous and the instructions are easy to follow. I am going to do a week of meals from this cookbook. I'm looking forward to delicious, healthy recipes in my Instant Pot!
WOW, this is the best instant pot cookbook I have ever used. I took about 10 out of the library to test after I received my instant pot. This is the only one that I went out to purchase and I used it all the time. I have never been disappointed and have made nearly everything in the book. It is just fabulous.
Just got my cookbook in the mail today. It has 75 total recipes with only 20% of them have meat in them, the rest are vegetarian (veg meals, salads and soups, desserts and jam). Here is the breakdown: 3 - Turkey dishes, 2 - beef dishes, 7 - chicken dishes, 2 - fish dishes, 2 - shrimp dishes. It would have been nice to have an optional "add meat" to the recipe but since I am new to this, I am not sure how to add meat to these dishes. There are many recipes that should have meat in them: Chili (no beef?), taco salad (no beef?), cheeseburger salad (no beef?), eggroll in a bowl (no pork?), Shepherds pie (no beef?) all of which are made with beans or other alternatives. Yes, I would! Though I haven't tried many recipes from this cookbook, I certainly WOULD buy it again. The recipes I've tried were easy to follow and understand and since cookbooks ARE NOT written in stone, I find it easy to substitute (or just leave out) ingredients I don't have or like. One drawback though: Be advised that though the book says gluten free on the cover, one must be aware that some of the recipes are not. Still, I would buy it again and recommend it to others. BTW: the Chipotle Black Bean Soup (82), Broccoli Cheese Soup (76), Curried Broccoli and White Bean Salad (102), and Roasted Vegetable Bowls (110) are to die for. Yummmmm! !
