I like that this is a new edition that is not just trying to look like an ad for the movies. I personally hate that trend.Nice hardback with a novel cover. Plus some additions, maps.I bought the whole set with LOTR.

Nice, hard-copy version of this masterpiece of fantasy. With some maps and other things attached, that did not use to be in all versions. If you want a Hobbit book that may last (not like the flimsy paperbacks), get it. The cover is interesting and whimsical. I don't know how I feel about it, but I did order all these new hardbacks (along with LOTR), just because they were pretty good and new. (And did not have a movie-based front with a stupid, big "Now a Netflix series" red label. I hate those things.)
Pleasant memories returned for my kids, now adult, on hearing the narration from their youth. They had worn out the original cassettes long ago. But reminiscences of cozy nights and kitchen activity with the story filling the room had them wishing for the same audio version. So I got one for each family. Different vendors, different arrival times, but both sets in great shape. Boxes, obviously vintage, part of th pleasure.
Quality binding-PRINT IS SMALL BUT JUST RIGHT…Paper is fine but sturdy….The content is BEYOND IMAGINATION…WELL WORTH THE MONEY….THANKS FOR A QUALITY PRODUCT !!!
The book set is absolutely beautiful. From the binding to the cover to the illustrations in The Hobbit everything is exquisite. I will definitely be buying other items from your company in the future.
The pocketbook set is gorgeous, and of great quality fromnthe gold leaf adorning the covers, and throughout the print on the pages. I am very happy with them.

Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit, is a peaceful sort who lives in a cozy hole in the Shire, a place where adventures are uncommon - and rather unwanted. So when the wizard Gandalf whisks him away on a treasure-hunting expedition with a troop of rowdy dwarves, he's not entirely thrilled. Encountering ruthless trolls, beastly orcs, gigantic spiders, and hungry wolves, Bilbo discovers within himself astonishing strength and courage. And at the ultimate confrontation with the fearsome dragon Smaug, the hobbit will brave the dangers of the dark and dragon fire alone and unaided.
