Given that your keys are something you use on a daily basis, i wanted a HQ item.I got the titanium one, and then after went out and bought more titanium things because i loved it so much. for some reason i thought titanium was heavy, its not. I clip this to my belt or pocket for ease of going in and out of stores and the house. Super Super happy. The pictures dont do it justice, it is really "3-D" looking and high quality. Already started browsing the other titanium collection. Really highly recommend. This is going to be my "go to" for those hard to shop for gifts for men. Yes it is a little pricey, and i am so glad they were sold out of the other ones, because it pushed me to purchase the titanium one. Amazing item. Very nice keychain, carabiner. Much lighter than expected. Very good quality. Like the way it operates, very stout. No wiggling or loose fitting pieces. Great color too. Anyone that comments about it being too pricey should just remember you get what you pay for. Is it more expensive than other carabiners. Yes it is but the quality is worth the cost, just my opinion. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.

I wanted a specific way to attach multiple sets of keys to a very wide belt loop. Oh, and I want silver titanium to match all my other pocket toys. This does what I needed, looks great and matches all my other JB stuff. The action is smooth and it slips through the mini-belt loop (ya know, the little one underneath the main belt loop for attaching a carabiner?) pretty easily. I have multiple sets of keys that I take on/off throughout the day depending on what I'm doing so the Mehlville is wide enough to allow for that without things getting bunched up. The Hardin tapers at the bottom and was getting crowded, so it got moved to the key fob remote and has been working well for that.
After two years, I finally decided to pull the trigger on the Mehlville. With four James Brand knives in my EDC rotation, this piece seemed like a fitting addition to manage keys and the double-loop section does so without risking losing them like a more basic carabiner. A note for anyone looking to purchase that it may seem smaller or flimsier when received––this happened in my case (hence the four stars instead of five) but it is a very functional piece overall.
I got my Mehlville 3 years ago and the hinge that opens both compartments does not snap anymore. This makes it detach from anything. I've almost lost my keys a few times. The wear and tear is normal and it actually makes it have a lot of character, but now I only have a very pretty bottle opener.

I use things as intended.)Spring latch: 5/10 (after about a year the latch just gets tired of you taking in on and off daily, and will no longer fully seat in the closed positon. The Mehlville congers up the novelist first and the letter "B" second, for me. It's svelte looking in any color. I only started using a carabiner recently because of my interest in EDC items for the (firing) range. The Mehlville is a fashion statement for EDC and makes me feel home on the range. Black makes it easy to match up for equipment and clothing. Love all the colors.For my third carabiner, I am holding out for brass. How long must I? Dangerous to visit this website hungry.
I'd been eyeing up this carabiner for a few months and decided to give it a go. I do really like it, with a few caveats.It is smaller than it looks, and actually felt a little flimsy out of the box. That being said, did I need a key holder that was rated to 20kN of force? Definitely not. It's also quite a bit more expensive than the basic climbing carabiner we're all using, which was a little tough to get past.However it nice and small and light, looks fancy, and is a serious upgrade from the basic climbing carabiner I've been using the last 10 years. James Brand has a good eye for making these low profile and classy looking pieces. Overall I'm very satisfied with the look and feel over the last few days I've been wearing it.
I had a carabiner that had a blade, two tiny screwdrivers held together by rivets. The blade went dull after a few months, the screwdrivers were so small they were useless and the rivets kept coming loose. Oh and the gate worked itself loose and was a pain to close.This one doesn’t need all the extra stuff, it just works. And looks great doing it.Thanks!
