What can I say? Every single Rachel Bright story in this series is excellent, from the wonderfully-timed, rhyming text to the breathtakingly beautiful illustrations. I love them SO much (as do my grandchildren), that I bought TWO sets, one for each granddaughter! 🤩💖

This book is super cute, and the message is also cute, but for kids under six it honestly confuses them, only because the Koala keeps telling his friends he can't come down from his tree, when in reality he CAN he just doesn't WANT to. There is a huge difference between can and want. And I feel that concept was not relayed very well in this book. The illustrations are beautiful and the way it concludes is also cute because it tells people that getting out and exploring even though different then what your use to is OK. But it doesn't elaborate on that concept of change.. It more so lay on that concept that he "can't" do something. When in reality he can he just is choosing not to.

I don't normally write reviews, but this book is exceptional. Beautifully written in rhyming verse with wonderful illustration, it's a genuinely heartwarming story and a firm favourite in our house. We've bought copies for friends who now love it too. Definitely the best of the collection by this writer/illustrator pair, and a must for every child's bookshelf!

I love this book! It's fun to read with the rhyming, and it has a great message. It is one of my favorites! We used to have the paperback version and bought it in the hardback after the paperback started falling apart.
My 5-month-old and I love this book, it’s a sweet story of friendship and being brave to try something new. Plus it’s a chance to try out my best Australian accent, which often has my partner is stitches 🐨
The illustrations are great and the writing is rhymed when seems to be popular with little children.
I can’t wait to give this to my daughter for Christmas, she’s going to LOVE it!
Fantastic book, refreshing, witty, with the message not only for a child but for each adult. Instantly became one of my son and mine favourite reads!
A beautiful story with lovely illustrations for kids and adults to remind us we can do anything if we are just willing to let go and take a chance. Would recommend. It is part of a lovely set. We have “The Lion inside” as well. Waiting to get the last of the set.
