It’s a fantastic game , I already played on PS4 but the graphics on PS5 wow so much better. My only quibble is the price that was a sick joke we should of been able to hand in are PS4 version for a discount on the PS5 one!! The price for games these days is just madness!!! If you think about it if you spend say £200 one you child for Christmas that’s only 3 games & that’s all they would get bar a £20 gift with the change & if you have 3 kids or more & can’t even afford that much!? I paired £64 for this game.

This game gets a lot of hate because it’s just a “reskin” but everything is different. The cut scenes are closer to the original captures. The gameplay is tweaked so it’s better. There’s basically 0 load times. And for players like me the accessibility options make this such a great buy. There’s a speed run mode! Don’t forget Skyrim has been released countless times and that doesn’t get hate. Or GTA5 which was also a ps3 game.

To be honest I expected better visuals for the price. The game runs in 1440p with 60fps and the image quality is far from mind blowing. Plus HDR performance is mediocre, and naughty dog decided not to include any HDR specific settings for some reason. Hopefully this is something that will be addressed in the future.

I own this on ps3 but never got time to play through it all for whatever reason . I was reluctant to fork out 75 quid but after finishing the game its hard to tell anyone to pass this up . What you're buying into here is a far more detailed world and outstanding character rebuilds with extremely fluid combat if you play in performance mode then you get 60fps or if your tv supports VRR you might get 120fps but i haven't tested this . Either way its a show piece for what the ps5 can do , i think if you've finished this before its worth revisiting maybe at a discount price. But if you're like me thats put this on the back burner i would 100% recommend this .
The game is overpriced but if I’m being honest I got it when it released because I love the story and gameplay of the original ps3 release. Playing the Remade version, everything is improved immensely graphics wise and gameplay it was amazing to experience again. I agree with everyone however as this game is too expensive and should’ve been cheaper for everyone to enjoy it again, don’t be like me and wait for this game to go on sell or just buy the remastered version.
I'll say this with an open mind. The Last of Us Part 1 is the definitive version to play the game for those who haven't played the game, that's for sure; however, This game is not worth $89 at all if you've already played the The Last of Us: Remastered on PS4, even on the PS3 back then. Sony really is ripping off consumers without giving a free upgrade to people who've purchased the game before. I would have been fine if the upgrade was $15 at max, but this is greed. The game level is the exact same with barely any changes that is significantly different than the original. No prone or dodge mechanics from The Last of Us Part 2 which is bonkers. 'Rebuilt from Playstation 5', sure... The visuals are the highlights of this 'remake/remaster'. The value of this game ... MoreI'll say this with an open mind. Think before you purchase this game or wait for a deep sale.
When the game first came out about 10 years ago the game play was ok, but by modern standards it's poor now. There are invisible walls everywhere, or they just tunnel you down narrow corridors in every map. The gun play is weak as well with only a few variety of enemies and just not interesting to play again once you know the story. If you didn't play it yet it might be worth playing if you feel like playing a interactive movie, but the gameplay is weak by 2022 standards. Graphics are ok, I couldn't bring myself to play it anymore once I got to the town section about 1/3 way through, it was just too stale, sold it and moved on.
The Last of Us Part 1 is definitely not a cash grab. The improved graphics and character models are a night and day difference from the original and it's remaster. The gameplay has been tweaked so Joel and Ellie move like characters in Part 2 but the lack of a doge is really felt. The story is obviously the exact same which means it's still superb.
Wow. I struggle to figure out where to start with this game. I have always had other gaming consoles, up until about a year ago. I purchased a Playstation 5, and The Last Of Us was one of my most eagerly anticipated games on my list. I have played through this spectacular cinematic story 4 times now, and each and every time I replay, I notice more and more clever elements that make this game so special. The main characters, Joel and Ellie, hold a very special place in my heart. The amazing work that Naughty Dog does to make every player's experience memorable really does show, and I couldn't be more satisfied with this game if i tried. If you're one for story-based games, this game ticks your box. If you like brutal, but satisfying combat that favours strategy over mindless rampages, this game ticks another box. If you want to be able to really immerse yourself into a game, and connect with the characters over the 15 hour story, this game definitely ticks that box. My point is, If you've never played this game before, and own a Playstation, this is a MUST. I highly recommend that you pick up this game, whether it is the Ps4 or Ps5 version (Main differences are haptics, graphics improvements, higher frame rate options, and accessibility features in the remaster, but Ps4 still does the job...), this experience is not to be missed. If you have the money, go for it. You will not regret it!
THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO EXPERIENCE ONE OF THE BEST GAMES OF ALL TIME! The Last of Us will always be one of my favourite video games of all time, I’ve lost track of how many full playthroughs I’ve done of the original/remastered versions of the game, but I’ve probably beat the game around 30 times and I’ve put over 400 hours into the remastered, and I think the game was very close to perfect, and this remake allows the game to become even closer to being perfect. In 2013 Naughty Dog was limited by the technology of the time on PS3, but now with this PS5 remake they were able to fully reach their original vision for TLoU. In 2013 Naughty Dog was limited by the technology of the time on PS3, but now with this PS5 remake they were able to fully reach their original vision for TLoU. I beat the remake last night, and I loved every second of it. The Last of Us Part I shows what The Last of Us would’ve been like if it released in 2022 instead of 2013, and it’s beautiful. This remake will also be coming to PC, which is great because it will finally allow PC players the ability to experience this amazing game, and it wouldn’t make sense for them to just port the 2014 remaster to PC. Also when TLoU HBO adaptation comes out it will bring many new fans to the franchise, and many new people will want to play the games, and this remake allows them to play a modern version of the masterpiece without having to deal with some of the outdated things in the original. Also the added accessibility options are incredible as they allow more players the ability to play this game, because some people might not have been able to play the original game due to the lack of accessibility options at the time, so this remake definitely justifies its existence for many reasons. This remake keeps the same amazing story, performances, and soundtrack as the original, while improving every other aspect of the game. The Last of Us Part I is the definitive way to experience The Last of Us, the graphics, attention to detail, sound design, gameplay, AI, UI, character models, accessibility options, and more are all way better than in the original and remastered versions of the game. If anyone says the gameplay isn’t improved they are simply incorrect, it definitely keeps the authenticity of the original, but the gameplay is so much smoother now and there’s many new animations and the AI is way better than it was in the original/remaster. Also the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are awesome, they definitely add more immersion to the game, same with the 3D audio. Overall this game is amazing, and I recommend it to everyone, if you’ve played TLoU1 I recommend you get this remake as it’s amazing, and if you’ve never played TLoU before I highly recommend you get this remake!
