After beating Part 1, and buying Part 2, I have been so engaged and wanting to remember every movement I have with this game. Every encounter with the Infected or enemies, you won’t know wether you need to be stealthy or loud. Every cutscene I seen has left me in shock because how the story is developed. If you are PS5 or PS4, you absolutely NEED to play this game. While the game does play slow, it is great that way and I love it. In the future, I can’t wait to buy more games for the PS5 and see which one I will love the most.

A remake of one of the best games I've ever played.It is a must have purchase for anyone serious about great single player campaigns and stories.Get Part 1 first and then get this.Amazing story that will pull you along for a crazy ride. Definitely worth the price.I've already played and finished this game. It's that good that I wanted to experience the story again with upgraded visuals.

I played this game back on PlayStation 3 and WOW!!! I have never thought or imagined a game could be more than just a game. This should definitely go in the history books of greatest game of all time as it still got everyone talking about it. The game has everything you could possibly imagine the incredible story filled with emotions and chills as you progress fighting and surviving your way makes it even more amazing that it isn't just another shooter or fighter game but it is a game that every move you make has a ripple effect. Joel and Ellie at first were 2 characters so different from each other but that blend together nailed it! The graphics on PS3 was the best and absolutely breathtaking of what the console could achieve in its time for the game but switch to PS4 and you will really see the amount of detail and stunning power of the current console has to offer for this game which already has been already the best on PS3. The game is a real survival game where nothing is just as simple and rationing is key to your survival and also when to use certain weapons for certain enemies made it more exciting as the decision rests on you. The fights are incredibly the best! From being able to use almost anything you can get your hands on whether it's bricks, steel pipes or good old gun fire power you always have a smile on your face after it. What I can say you can't enjoy the Part 2 without getting to experience Part 1 and form the bond with Joel and Ellie and Part 2 has got everyone on edge waiting for it. Naughty Dog has made an amazing game Thank you! and I don't think another one is yet to top this game by far!

The main positive aspect of this game is definitely it's graphics. I'm not sure how this "remastered" version specifically compares to the original PS4 release since I never owned that one. From comparisons I've seen, it's definitely not as much of an upgrade over the PS4 version as The Last of US Remastered for PS4 was over the PS3 version. But it still looks good. The gameplay can be very fun, but I think I still prefer the first game's gameplay. Part II does add some new mechanics, but it also feels like it takes a lot away from you compared to Part I. And the game depicts violence in a way that I personally haven't seen out of many, if any, other games, which I did like. While I think the gameplay and pacing have issues, the gameplay and graphics are the main reasons I am giving two stars instead of just one.The reason I'm not giving any more than two stars is the story. This is obviously still a big controversy if you look around online, but it really did not work for me. There were moments here and there that were satisfying, but overall this is not what I would have wanted out of a sequel to first game. I could go on and on about why that is, but I don't want to spoil anything in this review. The first game had a great balance of emotions and was ultimately about finding hope in an otherwise hopeless world. This game has every character absolutely miserable about 90% of the time and has an incredibly depressing ending that did not feel earned at all. The first game also has characters with morally grey backstories or that make morally grey decisions. But the characters you are meant to get attached to generally have good intentions even when they're forced into situations where they might have to do something that could be considered wrong. The second game, in my opinion, is filled with characters that have questionable motives at best, or outright bad intentions at worst. The game seems to expect you to sympathize with these people by the end of the game. But instead of giving them good intentions for their actions, it just tries to distract you from the bad things they do. As I said, this does not work for me and left me very unsatisfied

The story and gameplay are both excellent. This is probably the best version of the game to play to experience it for the first time. Unliked the recent remake, you get the same art style and visual tones as the original PS3 version. But you still get much improved graphics over the PS3 version. Even though it is a PS4 release, it holds up pretty well today.
This game came out in 2020 for PS4. If you have that game then you can buy the upgrade digitally on the PlayStation store for $10 to play on the PS5. Remastered version has some new features. "It features several visual improvements, faster loading times, DualSense integration, audio descriptions, scrapped levels, and an audio commentary featuring Druckmann, Gross, Johnson, Baker, and Bailey. New gameplay additions include a speedrun-focused mode, Guitar Free Play, and No Return, a roguelike survival mode featuring randomized combat encounters. Remastered was released for the PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024; existing owners can purchase the game digitally for US$10. "
One of the best video games ever made. I've played this game too many times to count, and I decided to buy the physical format of this game instead of the digital upgrade Sony was providing. The graphics are slightly better in this remastered version and there are some nice unlockable items like skins and photos, etc. The "No Return" mode, which is where you have smaller, special missions to get through to unlock certain skills or weapons, to ultimately get to a final boss, it just OK. I loved it at first but it gets old real fast. This was their attempt to appease everyone that was expecting a Factions II Multiplayer game but they didn't have the time or bandwidth to complete it.
