Doesn’t come with blu-ray, however the 4k scaling on this show is amazing. Much better detail in closeup shots as well as clothes compared to the stream version on MAX. Very faithful to the game while also adding different things in making it it’s own thing as well. Very well done show.

Picture looks amazing and sound quality is beautiful. Only gripe is the discs do not stay in the case no matter what you do. Opening or jostling the case in the slightest causes each disc to fall out, resulting in major scratches. Still recommend the show and box set.

This show is really great. I never played the games, but my wife did, and she also loved it. But these 4K discs are also fantastic. The picture and audio quality is reference level. I would highly recommend adding this to your collection! The only bummer is that it doesn't come with a digital copy, so be prepared for that.

Was a fan of the videogames since they were released and definitely was excited to see the television adaptation. Overall, IMO, the adaptation is good and almost aligned with the storyline found throughout the videogame. I highly recommend anyone a fan of the videogame to watch this television adaptation.
The shows great, also with hbo max pulling shows down great buy. The issue is unlike the other hbo shows theres no degital code with it. The only 2 other times I can think of the physical copy not coming with a degital code was Rick and Morty and Zach Snyders justice league. The other problem I have with this product is no blu ray included. Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, West World. All around the same price came with 4k, blu ray, and degital. Only reason for the negative review is the price and what comes with it compared to the other hbo shows. Peacemaker was only blu ray but still came with a degital copy. Also what was the deal with no steelbook for the us only the uk got the steelbook version.
I picked this up without sering it first because it received so many excellent reviews, but I honestly did not expect it to be as good as it was...what a pleasant surprise that rather than creating a gory mess that resembled a cinematic from the game, the creators have given us a real story with endearing characters who experience genuine growth and development throughout the season's run. I have always enjoyed Pedro Pascal, but his portrayal of Joel is exceptionally well done! Bella Ramsey's performance was enjoyable as well, despite several differences from her in-game counterpart. Technically well-crafted and an outstanding 4k presentation...highly recommended!
I really liked this series and am looking forward to a rewatch soon. I was really hoping Best Buy would have released a steelbook for this, but alas that did not happen. I was pretty disappointed this food not release with a digital copy code as i prefer to purchase physical media for video and audio quality superiority, but i have been redeeming digital codes om Vudu for years. The convenience of streaming and downloading titles to my ipad for travel is great. I just wish this had a digital copy. I am a massive fan of the games this show is adapted from and can't wait to see what they do with season 2 and 3
Amazing adaption! This is hands down the best show of 2023. Having watched it on HBO Max first, and now watching it on a physical disk there is no comparison which one is better. The physical disk is blows the streaming out of the water. This show is looks great in 4K, and the Dolby Atmos completely surrounds you.
Great cast and storyline. The twist is that the fate of humanity rests on just one girl. Most post-apocalyptic movies or series showcase a group of survivors trying to get to a sanctuary or better place. The hope for a better place is a better future with this one girl. No place is safe where they travel to.
I would give this product a 5/5 if the Best Buy I normally go to had this series not damaged. I normally love collecting physical media yet it just pains me when the only things around are totally damaged.But, do not let this deter from how great this show really is. All in all the picture quality is beautiful and I could not be happier to own this product. A little pricy considering you can watch the show for as little as 15 dollars on MAX, but again, this is still one of my favorite 4K's I have gotten in a while.
