The Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra - Groin & Body Hair Trimmer

WARNING: Use a guard when shaving your family jewels. It will cut/snag on the skin! It took 5-7 days for it to heal. I used Manscaped Lawn Mower 5.0 without a guard on my groin area and it worked great. It was easily trimmed within minutes. Next time, I’ll use a guard further down south and not suffer the consequences. I used the provided guard to trim my chest. The idea behind moving the guard up and down to get different lengths may not be the best. Too much pressure will cause the guard to go down. I also used it without a guard to trim my head in preparation to shave it. Worked great! I did not use the foil attachment since I had previously done some damage. I love electric razors and out of the 3 I have owned, this one takes the cake! Coming with multiple attachments, you have everything you need to get yourself styled up! It is easy to use and change attachments as needed. The light provides great visibility in all lighting. So far I have only had to charge my razor once in the few months I have owned it. The battery is most excellent! The cutting capability is even better. I like a low shave and this razor cuts perfectly for what I like. Even when cutting low, I have yet to cut my skin. This razor's safe guard technology is better than every other razor I have owned. It fits perfectly on my head with ease. And I love how quiet the vibration is. This is a gorgeous, sturdy and well-made trimmer that can be used for body hair and the groin. It’s very easy to manipulate around curves and areas with delicate skin. The handle is also very ergonomic. It’s easy to clean and cuts hair like a dream. Overall, this trimmer has replaced my old one and is now my most used machine for body grooming. I’m quite a hairy man and have to shave consistently, and this trimmer makes that so easy. The blades haven’t dulled despite near daily use. The gold design is really something. I’d say this is easily the most high quality trimmer I’ve used, and I can’t recommend it enough. It would make a great gift for the man in your life, especially if he’s got thick body hair like myself!

Common Issue: Trimmer Fails Just After Months of Use

This means there’s an open usb c port on this supposedly “waterproof” trimmer, which is already a concern. What’s an even bigger concern is there’s a known issue with the LM 5.0 where it’ll just randomly turn on/off on its own after a few months of use. Once it goes into this possessed on/off state, you can say goodbye to the trimmer. It won’t turn on when you press on, and it won’t turn off when you press off. It just keeps turning on and off until the battery dies. I had a several-hour period of the trimmer being in a possessed state— it turned on, flickered off a few times, started self-recharging without a cord(?), then turned off for a few hours, only for it to ... MoreThis thing sucks. They just say “we’ll send you a replacement LM 5.0” like it’s supposed to keep working after the 4-5 month grace period. I reverted back to my LM 4.0 for the time being, which never had any problems. If you’re thinking about buying the LM 5.0, I’m urging you to get the 4.0 or just buy from a different brand until Manscaped fixes this production issue.

This new trimmer from Manscaped is a pretty nice tool to use for keeping up with my appearance. The Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra Essentials Kit is quite nice and easy to use. Trim up body hair all over, and in the sensitive regions of your body. The skinsafe ceramic blades that are on this tend to get close to the skin and down to the base of the hair follicle. The hair gets trimmed and I'm not worried about cutting myself or nicking my skin. Easy to change heads can take you from trimmer to foil blade in a quick moment.Overall I'm liking the ease of use with this trimmer. Easy to grip and hold, while maneuvering under arms, or below the waist. Manscaping is fairly easy to do with this powerful motor. If you like to keep your body trimmed up and don't want to worry about nicks, then this could be the ideal trimmer for you.

I purchased this kit to replace my Lawn Mower 2.0. the TLDR: I prefer the Lawnmower 2.0 in almost every way.BATTERY/CHARGING:The wireless charging is a cool feature, but I personally don't ever use it. I do miss the neat charging stand that the previous generations came with. This was a nice storage solution to keep the device charged, and taking up less room in my space-limited bathroom.With that being said, I'm glad that this charges with USB-C now. It's 2024, I think everything should charge with USB-C.LIGHT:The two-color light is a nice touch, and I like the ability to turn off the light. However, the light is significantly dimmer than on the Lawn Mower 2.0. The only thing I do like about this new model is the foil blade attachment.

Needed a new trimmer so since I already have the Manscaped Weedwhacker nose and ear trimmer I decided to try the new Lawnmower 5.0 Ultra Essentials Kit. The elaborate box states that it comes with Skinsafe Dual Head system, Dual Temp LED spotlight, waterproof constant RPM motor, travel lock, LED power indicator, and a 2 oz tube of "Crop Soother" Made In the USA! I was going to complain that this was another gadget with no instructions but after you pull the tear strip on the box to open it, there is a tab on the left side that I missed saying PULL HERE. That pulls out a 6 page folded instruction sheet with pictures. I just kind of figured it out based on previous gadgets. There is a TRAVEL LOCK below the POWER button that if you hold down for 3 seconds it will lock or unlock and flash the light button to let you know it is locked/unlocked. After a ful charge it claims a run time of 60 mnutes. The trimmer blade came installed and can be used with the 3 included combs that have adjustable lengths of 1.4, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm that snap on and off. You can remove the trimmer head and swap it for the Foil Blade by inserting the lug of the blade head into the slot in the top of the trimmer then pressing it back until it snaps in place. The Foil Blade is for those more sensitive areas as you can see in the brochure. Since this is waterproof you can also rinse off the parts and let them air dry between uses. After a couple uses I'm not that impressed with the shaving closeness but it may be like other shavers that take a while for your skin and hair to adjust. It worked much like any other trimmer but since it was new the first trim was close. The heads and trimmers fit very snugly so I don't expect them to fall apart after a year like another brand. The Crop Soother is nice after a shave and shower but wasn't anything unusual, at least it is non-greasy and alcoholo free. All in All I'm only impressed with the elaborate packaging for such few pieces but at least I found the instructions inside the lid!

Who would say that this shaving machine was going to exceed my expectations. It has been years since I have been using razor blades to shave and it has always caused me irritation which I have hated too much. This has been the first time I have used a shaving machine and it has not caused me any irritation. The hair when is growing back is not rough but soft, which has impressed me. When you are using the shaving machine you can complete the area you are shaving in a matter of seconds compared to a shaving razors were you can take too long to finish. The machine actually guarantees you the slogan they say "we save balls." So you can feel relieved without feeling afraid to cut yourself. I totally recommend this product to every man out there. The price is worth it.

It got rid of all the longer hair but there was still a decent amount of stubble. The second time I used it I removed the guard. Note that doing so can result in some cuts and discomfort if you're not careful, but will get you a smooth skin trim. It takes longer and without going into too much detail you just need to push down or stretch your skin so that the blades do not catch on your skin. It takes a while to shave like this but this trimmer is very capable and does feel safer and easier to use than other trimmers for this purpose.Overall, I like this trimmer and will continue to use it for my special needs.

I got the 4 last Christmas and really liked it a lot. But I have to say I really LOVE the 5! It’s a little bigger which ironically feels some much better in my hand! I also really love how they changed the light at the top as well. On the 4 it is small and really narrow beam. The 5 light is extended along the sides for a broader field of view and much brighter which again allows for you to see where you are trimming much easier you can also change the color palet of the light! I also love the safe foil head attachment that it comes with. It really allows you to fine tune and polish up the trim to a ultra clean look without the fear of an accidental snip! The last thing that makes this a true winner is that they added a separate travel lock on the 5 so you don’t keep accidentally hitting it like I did on the 4! You hold it down and the light bar counts down the three seconds to engage. I really hated that feature on the 4 It was the same button as the power and I thought I broke it at first but I had just inadvertently put it into travel mode. The only thing I did not love with this package was the “after shave lotion” you put it on … well… you know… down on your nether regions after a shave. It was a warm sensation…that I did not care for! Interesting and worth a look see if your curious but I did not care for it.I also really like their marketing…it’s funny and tongue in cheek on how they reference the parts being shaven, which really make the manscape a status symbol and just fun to be a part of. It’s brought mens grooming onto a level that connects with normal guys that got tired of stealing their spouse’s razor to trim a little hear and there. We men got our own thing and it’s cool and fun and most importantly…WORKS AMAZING!!!! I have the Weed Wacker Nose hair trimmer as well and love that but wish they would put a light on that and increase the power as well!I love the Lawn Mower 5 and highly recommend to anyone who wants to look and feel their best and have fun with the brand doing it the best!
