The author tells it like it is. If I had learned the teaching in the book, my professional & personal life would have been less traumatic, but more successful. I recommend only read a few pages a day and don't rush to finish it. Read, then apply the teaching to your past and present situation. Most importantly, learn how to avoid the pitfalls and mistake of the past. Do not expect to be an expert in Human Nature in one day, one month or even one year. It's work in progress.

So much information about the nature of humans. Eye-opening and provides so much information. Great use of anecdotes throughout history, demonstrating their well-rounded depth of knowledge.
Got this shortly after watching Robert Greene's seminar on youtube regarding this book, his journey to becoming a writer, and his observations of human behaviour. It clicked in a lot of things for me and gave me great reminders that ground a person. I think everybody would benefit from understanding the laws of human nature from the eyes of Robert as he has incredible insight into the history of humans, something we all seem to forget nowadays. Haven't finished the entire book, but am working through his account of Stalin and I'm thoroughly enjoying it!!
Everything a growing human needs to know about navigating other humans and this thing called life. The Laws of Nature details all the stuff you kinda knew or felt about humans but needed to read in a concise and actionable way.
Brilliant on every level. Each page you find yourself or someone you know. All the growing up parts of life unexplained and how you might have blamed yourself. Some of the sayings "keep you enemies closer" explained in excellent ways. Examples of people famous in life and how they did it. I even bought a few copies for friends.
Greene is an incredible author. This is a psychological education book, with all his points back with extremely in-depth and educational historical references. I love the way he structures his books. He'll put a paragraph or two at the beginning of each chapter educating you on a point. Then the chapter goes into historical references for support. The book is not progresive chapter by chapter, so you can just skip around the book as you see things of interest. I love it. I've read four of his books now.
