Also I told you that the true Hyrulian warrior would return in a Green Tunic & even if it’s only been at the beginning of the game thus far, he was back in classic Green on a brand new Zelda game & the few other things I’ve mentioned which are relevant to this game & it’s like I’m saying over & over again “I Told You So” & well I did call myself a fan of the franchise & an expert in Zelda on my TOTK review (TOTK what a mess!) & well I did tell you so as many people are trying to pick up a Zelda game like this ‘Echoes Of Wisdom’ & a few other older games from the franchise & they just don’t know what to do!This here on s Zelda in a classic sense but of course it has loads of new features, the fact that you play as the Princess Zelda who Link’s always saving well that was quite unexpected but it works, the Echoes get a bit of getting used to but all will be revealed as I complete this one (I put TOTK down & didn’t finish it as a I’d finished BOTW & it was the exact same thing!)It’s got nice Nintendo game colourful crisp graphics with smooth SFX & music as I say I’m majorly far into it but at least I’m enjoying it unlike the spin offs & despite Nintendos hard knock & disbelief that people wanted the old Zelda games back they got straight on it & this can’t have been made in a few months so it’s been in the making then they shelve BOTW & the appalling TOTK & announce the release of this title & there has been nothing but deserving buzz about it & it’s a great game & it’s well worthy of a play & if you purchase from Very within time you could get yourself a large ‘Echoes Of Wisdom’ poster?

This game caught me by surprise. It took me years to finally finish Link’s Awakening (same art style) but this game I was addicted to once I started playing. It’s like Links Awakening and BOTW/TOTK had a baby. The art style fools you into thinking it’s just some silly game but the stories tug at your heart strings. It may not have the same difficulty level as other games in the franchise but I was having so much fun I just didn’t care. Surprising to me it has become one of my top faves and makes me look forward to what is possible for the BOTW/TOTK style. I wholeheartedly disagree with the bad reviews.

I have played every game since the first one. This is like a modern, cute cross between Link to the Past and Ocarina. This is a great game for kids. It’s not terribly hard and finding ways to use the echoes as weapons and to traverse. The terrain is ridiculously fun. It is what it is, it’s not BOTW. Considering they said it would be a few years until another Zelda entry came out. People should look at this as a little gift. It’s a really cute game and definitely a good one for children, it is creative and imaginative.
I've only completed a couple of dungeons and have an inventory with many missing items, so I don't know how far the game I am, but I'm enjoying it so far and it definitely plays differently to other Zelda games.My main concern after seeing the trailers was that I'd resort to just using the same few items over and over despite how many there are, but this hasn't been the case as there's always a new item (echo) around the corner that makes a particular task easier - such as getting up a high ledge, traversing a gap or defeating a particular enemy - so even when I think I've got my new favourite item, I haven't used it for too long before it's been replaced.The initial part of the game is very linear but this acts as a tutorial introducing various items and ... In this aspect it does feel like Zelda's of old, and I like that - see, in BotW or TotK, most of the cerebral stuff was in the shrines or dungeons, but if you couldn't figure the puzzle out, you could just leave and do something else instead, you wouldn't need to complete them (even though I did) to finish the game .However, like BotW and TotK, and unlike Zelda's of old, you can complete the puzzles however you see fit. For example there was one cave (and these caves I have found feel a bit like the shrines in that they are self contained mini puzzles that you don't have to complete) where there was a floating crate and some impassable metal bars, and a crate on the other side, and you had to use the bind (can't remember name) to move this other crate onto a switch while standing on the floating crate. The first room was easy, than the next was a bit harder, then the final room was a real head-scratcher. However, after a few tries, I realised I could just project an echo of a crate onto the switch really easily - that may not have been the 'correct' thing to do, but I'd outsmarted the developers in a way - and people had done similar things in the shrines of BotW/TotK, so is it really cheating?The game also isn't fully open-world. There is a story where you are suggested to go from one point to the next, unlike BotW/TotK where you are given multiple options of destination. However, in between the next main task, you can wonder off wherever you like, I guess - I haven't ventured too far off the current path, but it doesn't seem like anything is stopping you.The only main criticism, apart from it often relying on smartly solving puzzles that may get some people stuck, is that some areas have so many enemies at once, and for the most part you can't just attack them with an unlimited sword as Link could. You have to generate 'echoes' of enemies you've already defeated, but depending on the enemy and you're current level, you'll be limited to what you can create. You usually can have a few weak 'familiars' or 1 strong one fighting on you behalf. However, like Chun-li Vs Zangief, weak and quick, or strong but slow. If you're quick familiars can get in hits before they take them then you may prevail, but if you opt for a strong familiar I often find they can't get a hit in before they're knocked back by the enemy, so end up being useless sometimes. Particularly frustrating is when your familiar is just standing there right next to the enemy and isn't attacking. There's also at least one area where there's a particular enemy that can 'freeze' you and your familiars and the other enemies also keep attacking you, and just as you're unfreezed, you'll be lucky to get in any hits before it happens again.There are certain enemies (as echoes/familiars) that are more suited to defeating other enemies, but when there's 3 different kinds of enemy on screen, you're probably not going to win, so it's best to run away and try and edge into the area and pick them off separately.So all in all, I think if you're an old school Zelda fan like me, you'll be right at home with this, but if you're more used to just playing BotW/TotK where you can meander off and just do whatever if something gets too challenging (like my kids do) then I think this could be a bit too tough or frustrating.
This game is something else. Everything on it is awesome. It is worth every penny. Great for all ages, some bosses may need a little bit of try and error but all of them are beatable in a very nice way. My wife is not a Zelda fan, but she is enjoying this game that is incredible to see. Also, the game allows you to discover so many things in different ways. Please, do a favor to yourself, buy and play this game.This is my Game of Year 2024!
I've not always gotten on with the Zelda franchise. Wind Waker is one of my fave games ever but I didn't vibe with Breath Of The Wild at all.Echoes of Wisdom is definitely one I love. It's really creative about how you get about the world and defeat enemies and just a ton of fun. At first I found it too easy (which, as a very casual gamer, was quite a shock!) but it's now become quite difficult, in places, and I'm playing on the easier of the two difficulty levels so it's just the right level of challenging for me.I thoroughly recommend this game.

However in this game, Link and Zelda swap places, as Zelda is the protagonist and Link the one needing rescuing. The game takes a lot of the gameplay ideas and mechanics from Tears of the Kingdom and converts them into 2D top-down gameplay (e.g. Ultrahand, cooking). The soundtrack and art are beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed it, though it was a little on the easier side. Probably more accessible for younger gamers, though I did notice halfway through there is a difficulty setting which can be changed from Normal to Hero mode, which I appreciated. Wonderfully simple easy and just as easy and wonderful as the original breath of the wild with a sentimental swing and swift preview provided by Nintendo’s preview trailer I suggest viewing before buying to see what I’m all jazzed talking about. Plus the fishing and the underwater part not even dredge could attempt to be so cute sweet and cozy. Can’t wait to see the future plush this comes comes out next. Plus having it delivered from at home walmart grocery drop off next to my jolly ranchers gummies should tell you what I’d be doing for the next 24 hours. For the folks out there, this game plays like the old school Zelda games but get this, you are actually playing as Zelda. Not this random fella link, I mean its literally titled Zelda. I guess this is where Nintendo is attempting to give players the ability and what if scenario to play as Zelda.You will proceed through somewhat traditional dungeons from Zelda but with non-traditional abilities and powers that are introduced within the game. Overall, its a pretty fun game. Good for short game play sessions and save mechanics are generous throughout the game.Performance is great, which is expected for a side-scroller. There wasn't so much of hiccup when playing the game. And, no crazy loading screens.
