Forget the movie trilogy. This is so, so much better. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to be transported to an amazing world, full of brilliant characters. This book series in my opinion, is one of the greatest literary achievements of all time.

I've always loved this series and this, hands down, is the best version of it that I'll have for years to come. From Tolkien's cover art to the reader's companion, it is a totally immersive experience. I'm enjoying every page of reading and exploring Tolkien's world of LOTR.
Misinterpreted the hard cover details. It's hard cover but only folded paper over each book. This can be damaged easily :(
Great dust covers on all of the books with wounderful gold words on the spine of the books makes for a great pic both with the dust covers or without.Warning you can lightly see the words on the other side but the paper is high quality so you would have to try to damage the paper.I would recommend this book set to any LOTR Fan who is looking for a Hardcover edition.

Very compact, was surprised at the high quality of the page material, making it a pleasure to read. The readers companion is a great bonus
This set is finished off very will with the box enclosure each book fits into. They have nice gold lettering on the box and the book spines and covers look excellent. Highly recommend for LOTT fans.
It came in perfect condition and is just so stunning. I highly recommend. I have no complaints.
