Simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking. Some romance but mostly contemporary fiction. Really recommend this one! It got a little slow in the middle but please read 'til the end, the last 100 pages or so were amazing.

This book could be more interesting, kinda boring.
Simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking. Some romance but mostly contemporary fiction. Really recommend this one! It got a little slow in the middle but please read 'til the end, the last 100 pages or so were amazing.

This is a book that will sit with me for awhile. The story actually wasn't really what I thought it would be - I thought that it would be a light hearted rom-com but actually it was quite a deep read.I had a little bit of trouble keeping all the strings straight while reading, however it all fell together beautifully at the end. I feel like a re-read would be worthwhile to really pick up all the extra links that I know would be easy to miss on the first read. There are quite a few layers to this story and they are so cleverly woven together.Beth O'Leary has done a wonderful job at navigating friendships, life, love and grief throughout The No Show with what I believe to be quite accurate depictions of all that mentioned.
