I ordered this to replace my Nuptse jacket which I outgrew. I particularly love that this is longer and won't ride up when I sit the way the Nuptse did. I would easily fit a Large but ordered an XL because I tend to wear double and triple sweaters in the winter. The fit is perfect and gives me room without looking too big. The taper in the waist is very flattering. As to quality, it's North Face. Does anything else need to be said??Highly recommend.

Warm and thick. Somehow I wasn't a huge fan of the color when I wore it, and this material in general stains easily, but it is warm and gets the job done! I wish it had thumb holes for extra warmth.

I have a version of this coat that I got at a NF store in Maine probably 15 years ago. The zipper broke and there was a tear at the bottom and I've tried to replace it, but nothing came close to its comfort or warmth, so I just continued to use it. Finally decided to just order another North Face and this looked like the closest match. I have to say that the quality downgrades are very disappointing. It doesn't feel nearly as thick (although they both say they are 550 fill; old one is fluffy down and the new one is some down/poly alternative mix...maybe it is as warm but I can't imagine so?), the hood is no longer detachable, the North Face logo is an iron-on plasticky material that will surely peel off rather than embroidered, and the fabric itself is different - ... MoreI have a version of this coat that I got at a NF store in Maine probably 15 years ago. Zipper is also too small and flimsy for a coat at this price. They also changed the cut. The new model is far more tapered at the waist, which I hate in a jacket. I'm wearing this for warmth, not to look snatched. And the arms are soooo skinny. I have long, skinny arms, I'm 5'7" and 135, slim with long arms/legs, and these arms were uncomfortably tight over anything other than a thin l/s tee. I tend to wear oversized sweaters or thicker materials, and this felt constricting in the arms and armpits; another feeling that I strongly dislike in a jacket. If I can't drive comfortably in it, it's too tight. And I ordered a Medium, which is my normal size in tops and jackets. It fit fine in the width of the body, just way too tight in the arms. For reference, my older model was a size Small - and the new model fits smaller in a Medium than the old one in Small. I don't know what NF was thinking with these new measurements. I guess size up? And don't bother if you have thicker or more muscular arms, because I am neither and it was still too tight for me.Since I dislike most things about this jacket, I'll be returning, so I can't speak to the warmth. But if the thinness is any indicator, it wouldn't have lived up there, either. I would give this 2 stars for fit, quality, and comfort, but am giving 3 to be generous due to not being able to rate warmth.

I bought this parka to wear with longer sweaters and when I want something that covers more of my torso when out in the cold. I bought a size medium to have a little room to layer. I have other North Face jackets and they just fit without a lot of room for heavier sweaters. So I wanted the room. And the medium does give me a little more room in this parka but not a lot. Which is fine but it is a pretty slim jacket. I'm 5'4" and around 135lbs for reference. It's good quality like most North Face jackets but it doesn't have a lot of fill so it isn't super warm with just a long sleeved shirt. But with a sweater, I'll be fine. I still don't think I'd wear this at an outdoor event where I might be out for a long period without really layering up. Perfect length for me and being a bit shorter, not overwhelming.
This coat is great super warm but lightweight exactly what I was going for. The color is a little more purple than mauve and it's really really long. I wish that it hit mid thigh rather than my knees.
I am hoping that even though it's lightweight, that it keeps me warm! I like that it's long and has the hood. I had to go up a size to make sure it wasn't tight in the shoulders and would have room to layer underneath. I was surprised that the arms were long enough, I am 5'10".
I am overly excited in using my parka for this winter. It's absolutely everything I thought it was going to be. I love the double zip you can zip all the way down or half way down and leave the bottom open, also the thickness is just perfect will definitely be warm. I will definitely size up it's a little tight but still perfect.
I bought this coat to replace the old style Gotham that I wish you guys would please please bring back. It was mid thigh length this one is knee length little too long, but I miss my coat and had to get it replaced and this was as close as I could get it I really wish you guys would stop using the iron on Logos, I really wish you would go back to the stitching of the logo as much as you charge for your product. At least you could do is give us some good quality stitching for the logo. The ironing patch will come off melt off. It makes the jacket look horrible and I love the black stitching that you used on the Gotham Parka Mid Thigh Length pleaseAnd Please try to resize because your sizing is off.I got a small. Love this jacket. Finally a new nice slim fit. Hits right above knees and I'm 5'3 /116lb. Got XS. Now I want the short version too :)
Super warm, but too bulky. I wear it all the time especially to outdoor sporting events.. keeps me nice & cozy 😊
