I treated myself to this jacket since I was looking for something for wet weather. It is thin so I can also layer if I wanted to. I like to wear it w a light sweater during brisk weather in NY. I have not worn it in heavy rain so I can not judge if it is waterproof. I like the attached hood because I do not like carrying umbrellas in misty/light rain. I am also a NYC commuter so it fits nicely in my tote bag w/o the bulk if it gets too warm. I got it in navy because I wanted something different rather the typical black. I took one star away for the "crunchiness" of the material and it ran small. I bought it in a medium for wiggle room in case I layered but it fits like a small --I'm usually a small too. It's a nice purchase for travel.

I am giving this a conditional 5 star review because when I saw it in the store I thought it was super cute (I got the floral Int’l Women’s Day pattern) and I had to have it for my upcoming trip to Ireland in June. I plan on wearing it as my everyday jacket since it’s Dry Vent material should keep me from overheating while wearing it. I got the large even though medium is my size but it looks great and fits with the lightweight fleece I plan to take. The hood is a good size and I’m looking forward to wearing it. I expect that it will work great in any rain conditions. I am 5’10” and 154 lbs and the sleeves are long enough for me.

I've used a North Face waterproof rain jacket for over twenty years. This is my third one and the design has changed, or the ones that I have had previously have been discontinued. I'm not a fan of this one. There is a mesh liner which makes the jacket heavier and warmer. I live in Florida so this isn't a desired feature for me. Heavier is also not good if carrying it when backpacking. The weight also might be because the jacket material itself feels heavier. Also this jacket doesn't have the side zip air vents under the arms. Again, a great feature for living in Florida. But, mind you, I've used my previous jackets while on the AT in the summer and this was a nice feature to have up there too. Lastly, the pockets in this new jacket are in a terrible location. For that reason alone I will always stick with North Face. The old jackets I would have given five stars and unfortunately I can't do that with this one.

You can layer it over other items to be warm or just wear it alone for warmer days. I liked the color of this one a lot. I originally ordered a medium but sent it back for a large. Part of my reason for sending it back was that the pockets were very high so I was thinking the bigger size would drop them a little bit to wear your arms would naturally fall in a jacket pocket. High quality, comfortable, light waterproof windproof shell, great length and a lovely color. I wear it everyday, it's perfect for fall in the northeast. Main problem is the pockets- they are set too high, so theyre hard to access, i cant use them to put my hands in while walking due to how high they are, and if i put anything inside them it makes me look like i have a massive belly sticking out. And there are no inner pockets, it needs inner pockets.Also, the velcro along the zipper is nice to have but totally unnecessary. Beware, it snags on sweaters and scarves.
This is a lined, lightweight windbreaker jacket that fits almost like a petite or kids'. It's on the short side and the sleeves are just long enough but almost too short. I'm 5'10" 155lbs and ordered an XL. A large definitely would have been too short for me, and it's a bit too wide and boxy for me, though I don't mind the width because I wear a sweatshirt underneath. Another design flaw in my opinion is that there is only one draw string around the bottom which you can only tighten on one side so it's scrunched on the right and not tight enough on the left even when I try to pull fabric over to the left. It looks bad when you need to tighten it, which I do since it's a bit too large for me.
Fantastic color but there are a few things I don't like. First, the A-line shape is fine for pear shapes, but I'm more top heavy. Second, what's with the goofy pockets? I'm top heavy so the pocket flaps going all the way to the top of the jacket are not flattering. Third, I can't stand the little Velcro tabs on the front opening. I wear a lot of active wear and nothing destroys it like Velcro. I do like the elastic sleeves, the fabric, the hood, the color and the length.

I am usually an XS, but I bought a size S for a more comfortable fit. (Also the store dint have an XS for me to try on, but I think I would still stick to the S.) The only thing that is difficult to get used to is the pockets. The flaps that cover the zipper on the pockets make the diagonal opening weird to get into. I appreciate the large flat size of the pockets, but the flaps facing forwards, not backwards like usual, requires extra effort to reach in or put something into my pockets. I really like this jacket. The off-white/tan color combo is great, and I've already gotten several compliments on that. I felt the need to buy a large (even though I can usually wear a small, and when I size up, and medium is plenty big). But based on reviews, I bought a large so I can comfortably lay er with a fleece or hoodie, so it would be long enough in the sleeves and back, and I'm so glad I did. I'm 5'7" 135 lbs, so with the large, it's pretty baggy. The jacket hangs straight and isn't really tapered at all, which I would prefer for a better fit. These are just my preferences, tho. It's a great jacket and looks nice. Haven't tried it in wet weather yet.
If you need solid protection from the elements without lookin' like a marshmallow, this North Face Antora jacket is for you. It's super lightweight and packs down tight so you can stash it anywhere.
