Great boot to slip on

I have worn these boots a hand full of times now; love them so far for how easy they are to put on (slip on) and how they feel like a sneaker! They do fit small but I feel like they adapt to your foot quite well. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up in the snow! In -2 my feet were toasty warm! Great for quick trips out the door with my toddler; looks great with sweats, nice casual boot! I got the white color and they are crisp! Quality is great!

These are not only good looking they are also practical and well made. I work outside in the cold and also like to participate in snow activities. These will be perfect for both. They will look nice with my casual work attire and will keep my feet warm and dry in the snow. They are super comfortable and will provide great traction for long walks in the snow or just walks on any given cold day in the winter.

I needed a PR of boots that would be warm, comfortable, supportive, waterproof and stylish. I'm 85 yrs old with osteoarthritis and neuropathy in my feet so definitely need a comfortable boot for walking because that's my exercise to keep me mobile for taking care of me and my husband who has Cancer. I saw them on line, and others so went to the Columbus North Face store. Tried them on & they ordered me the correct size. I've worn them and I LOVE THEM!! Thank you North Face! I've always liked your outdoor c!nothing & will continue. Laura 😊

Runs very small and return shipping is horrible
5 December 2023

This boot is nice, but runs very small. I normally wear a size 7 ordered an 8 to fit with thick socks and it’s so tight even with thin socks. And I don’t have an REI store near me and they want to charge me 5.99 to return this via usps. It’s not even my fault the sizing is horrible. First time ordering from this site and I am very disappointed.

Stylish but Sizing Issues
21 October 2024

I recently purchased the Women's ThermoBall Lace Up Waterproof Boots in my usual size 6, but unfortunately, they were too narrow at the opening, making it quite a struggle to put them on and take them off. I ended up having to exchange them for a size 7, which worked better since there are no half sizes available. On the plus side, the boots are stylish and really pretty, which is a definite win! If have wider feet or fall in between sizes, they will not be a great choice for you. I do recommend, just keep in mind the sizing issue. Overall, they're nice/beautiful boots!

ThermoBall? More like ThermoBOO!
2 December 2022

Where to start? There's so much wrong with this boot. It's such a disappointment because it looked like the boots would be cute and comfy from the photos, but then you put one on and you realize they are awful.Pros:*Fuzzy inside lining seems like it would be warmCons:*Poor construction - one of the side loops holding the laces broke when I was trying to tie the laces and pulled to tighten. I pulled very lightly.*No arch support - very flat inside so it feels like your foot is rolling when you walk and it has nothing supporting it except puffer material. If there was support the boots would probably be comfortable.*Pull on tab is placed in the middle of the back shaft, which is awkward. It doesn't seem sturdy either and that it could easily rip off. The side loops with North Face branding are better but who puts a shoe on from the side? Trying to use these tabs doesn't work because my heel gets stuck, so I need to help my foot go in through the back. Trying to use the back pull tab doesn't help. There should be pull on tabs on the back and front of the opening of the boot.*No half sizes - Men's boots come in half sizes, so why not the women's?*Adjustment toggle - seems good in theory to keep snow out but when tightened it looks weird against the puffiness of the boot, especially from the top down. Plus, when you've tied the laces tight it pulls down the front part of the top so when you tighten the back strap, the coverage isn't as high as it should be.*Height - the boots are about 7" high which would be adequate for walking my dog and going outside or running errands but the issue with the adjustable toggle means the boots sit only just above the ankle which isn't ideal for Michigan conditions.Bottom line, it seems that whoever designed these boots didn't product test them or think the laces needed to be practical. The adjustments to keep the boot on and keep snow out were good in theory but the execution is poor. I'm sure there are other things wrong but these reasons are more than enough to be disappointed in NF and sending these boots back. The search continues.

Unable to put these on my feet even in a size up!!!
7 April 2024

Ok first things first....Yes I tried these out during my ski trip and yes they areComfortableWarmFully snow/waterproofSuper stylishSo all those things make them excellent and great value.HOWEVER UNFORTUNATELYI ended up returning these because they too at least ten minutes each time to put these boots on in the first place!!!!!!!They don't have a proper tab at the back to assist with getting these on; and the toggle doesn't help matters as this just tightens the boot around the ankle rather than help get these on.Massive design fault in my opinion.

a fine boot, just needs improvements
5 February 2024

I like these boots, I don't love to wear them. I think they look great, but similar to other reviewers it's a pain to slide on! I definitely sized up a full size and once on, they are comfortable. I just don't understand why it's so hard to put these shoes on. If I'm not wearing socks, my feet slide in no problem, with socks, it's a struggle. The shoes are warm, but I would caution anyone who wants to wear these in very cold weather. It hit the teens where I am and I was wearing these and could definitely feel the cold in my toes. These also don't have the best traction, be careful on ice.

enjoyable at warmer winter temps
8 December 2021

I have wider feet and am regularly an 8.5 but find I can easily slip into an 8 or 9 when half sizes are unavailable, depending on the style. 8 was too tight at the top of my feet and overall more snug than I prefer. 9 feels great with room for thicker socks! The footbed felt weird at first but has since molded to my feet. I find them super lightweight, easy to put on and take off and comfortable to walk in (no issues with them falling off). The white is not a true white but a cream. My only gripe is that my toes start to freeze pretty quickly when the temperature dips below -10C :(So I like them for urban wear, errands, in-and-out, around and about (in my car lol), which is what they are probably meant for anyway. For any prolonged outdoor activities or adventures in the snow below -10C (which is our winter here 90% of the time), I’d go for my heavy old school Sorels, or maybe opt to try one of their newer styles next time instead of North Face.

lightweight, comfy, durable snow boots
25 January 2023

I bought these North Face boots with the hope they would be a hybrid of a lightweight, waterproof hiking boot and a mid-ankle snow boot -- they are just that. The thermoball line by NF is amazing in cold temps. I have Sorell boots as well and these are much lighter and comfier in my opinion. As someone who gets very cold feet, they have performed well and I have had no discomfort with low temps. The boots aren't heavy at all and making commuting in slushy, snowy weather much nicer. Also worth mentioning, the sole has good traction on icy or slippery surfaces. Modern taupe colour is the perfect neutral with all coats and outfits. Just get them!
