The North Face Jester Backpack 22L Black Women
The Women's Jester is designed to carry everything you need for school, from books, binders, and stationery to a laptop, water bottles, lunch, and a jacket. This season, The North Face has updated the Jester with input from students, adding double handles, a self-standing design, and a slimmer profile, making commuting on packed trains much easier. The Jester still features a protective laptop sleeve, a front compartment with dedicated space for pens and pencils, a zipped pocket, two external water bottle pockets, and a bungee system on the outside for securing your bike helmet or jacket. For cycling safety, strategically placed reflectors provide 360° visibility, and a bike light loop allows you to attach a light. The FlexVent suspension system includes flexible molded shoulder straps, a comfortable padded mesh back section, and a breathable lumbar panel, ensuring comfort on the go.

I've been using this as a hiking day pack for nine months. It's comfortable enough, the fabric's sturdy, and I like the pockets in the small sections, but the zippers and inaccessibility of the large compartment are constantly giving me grief.First, the zippers: after about two months, the toggles started breaking off one by one. After three, the zippers on the main compartment started sticking and having difficulty closing the teeth; now, although I can still get them to close with some hassle, they never line up properly and are liable to break open.On the compartments: the small compartment is nicely sectioned, though it flops open and tries to dump its contents when unzipped. When the small one is full, it's annoyingly difficult to put items in or remove ... MoreI've been using this as a hiking day pack for nine months. I'm a teacher that roams between various classrooms and buildings. I carry my computer, notebooks, and all manner pens, pencils, and stationary. The backpack is comfortable and distributes the weight nicely. My only issue with the bag is that I wish there was one more exterior zipping pocket, similar to the one that already zips up. I personally need a tad more places for organizing and separating my items. Overall a great bag. I actually bought an identical one for my daughter to use for school too.

We had to wait until the last minute to get a back pack, the one my daughter wanted was a little pricey but I wanted the first day of Jr High to be special. I was trying to search and figure out where I could fund one the day before school started, most of the places that came up when searching the backpack were in Little Rock and the day before school started was turning out to be a long day indeed, I was able to find it in Hibbetts website! I ordered it around 9 am, to pick up on my lunch @ 12, i was able to bring it home and suprise my daughter with it! The online ordering and curbside pick up was a breeze! I will be looking there first next time! Thank you!

I bought this for carrying kids stuffs out to playgrounds, libraries, or zoo. Good thing to have this backpack instead of those normal light and soft ones is you don't get things inside shifted over. Two side pockets outside for water bottles are super nice and spacious. The color is not too bright and not too dark, it goes well on any outfits you wear except fancy dresses. Love it! Oh, I am 160cm, skinny, this product size is just perfect on me.
I got this because of traveling with two young children. My three year old is potty trained but if we don't have her in a bathroom in about 3 minutes she still sometimes has accidents so this backpack holds an extra change of clothes for her. Then of course when traveling the kids always need snacks plus it can hold both the kids waters in the holders. I like the small pocket on the outside to put my things like my wallet and keys or whatever I would need that I would usually put in a purse. Plus the big compartment has room to stuff something we buy or a couple kids sweatshirts. I also love the chest strap and how comfortable the shoulder straps are to wear even while hiking.
Recently purchased this backpack for my 6th grade daughter. She loved the color and it looked seemingly big enough. We got home and she excitedly took all the tags off and put her five star 2” zipper binder in it. That is literally all that fits in this backpack. We needed to put her folders and notebooks inside the binder and now the backpack barely zips. We can’t even put her average size water bottle in the outer mesh pockets because they don’t stretch open. I’m not sure what this backpack is supposed to hold but it sure isn’t school supplies. It might as well have been labeled a Chromebook case. We can’t return it now and it was already a splurge purchase for my daughter who started middle school this year. I bought one of these bags in pink for my daughter. She loved it and used it for 2 years. Now she wants a black one. I feel like it's a good size for her small frame. It's light weight, and made very well, durable. Great variety of pockets. If there were one thing that I don't like about the bag is it can get a little top heavy the way my daughter packs the pockets and tends to tip when just sitting on the floor. But this most likely wouldn't happen if she didn't put so much stuff in the top, front pockets. Overall we love this bag, obviously it's our second one, just a different color.
I ordered on line because of aesthetics, reviews, and marketing video. After receiving and trying it out at home, the backpack is very uncomfortable, hard pads on shoulder, cardboard feel on both shoulder and back, poor quality cushions. My shoulder started hurting carrying an empty bag. The main bag only has one open pocket in the deep compartment, none other for organization. The outside pouch for small items is designed halfway from top that if you put anything in it, the weight of the bag is top heavy and would topple over. I would like to keep this bag, but I am returning it.
I use this product on an everyday basis as a college student meaning I walk around with it everyday for hours on. It is great because it's big enough ti fit many things but never looks too bulky. However, I feel the zippers aren't very strong because if it is a little open to the side, it'll just work its way down and the backpack will open up entirely and it'll just flop open and everything falls out. It is not like other backpacks that are able to be open without the front flopping down and dropping everything inside. I also do miss the ones with the deep pocket in the of the back pack instead of string, which is not convenient at all.
I researched bags for 2 weeks before I commited to this one in the fall of 2019. I wanted this for its smaller size and pocket features, and for cost it was cheaper than the competition. That fall I had incredible issues as none of my college texts fit into the bag, my bag became dedicated to simple my laptop and pens/highlighters (the laptop pocket was inconvenient because the lip of the zipper would catch it nearly every time I pulled it out, will definitely be looking in the future for a bag with a separate laptop zipper pocket) and the outside bungie cord held onto my hammock that I took everywhere with me so I could hammock in the park on campus in between classes. The outside pocket takes up space inside the bag instead of pushing out so that took away more space and if I had paperback books in the bottom of the bag I would have to take everything out to reach them. Very inconvenient. In addition to all of this I also rode my bike 3 miles to school everyday, and the flex ventilation did not help I would be soaked in sweat everyday. Now with COVID I only used this backpack for that one fall semester in 2019, I have recently brought it back into action in Granby, CO where I am a camp counselor and we have to have daypacks with rain gear, warm layers, 2 nalgenes, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit everywhere we go. The first 3 weeks went smoothly with again the space issues where I would have to take everything out to find things in the bottom of my bag. The fourth week hit this Sunday and the zipper has come off it's trak out of nowhere and I've had to resort to safety pinning it until I have a chance to go to a larger city with an outdoors outfitter to pick up a new daypack. The highs here are around 70 and I find I'm still sweating significantly more than normal where the bag rests on my back. I'm 5'2 and the bag has developed a weird curve perhaps because of my torso being shorter and it's not the most comfortable.
