The iconic slim fit Men's Dryzzle FUTURELIGHT Jacket is made with seam-sealed FUTURELIGHT - a customisable breathable-waterproof technology. It's engineered using nano spinning technology that adds air permeability to a waterproof membrane for the first time. But that's not all, as the seam-sealed shell keeps the water out but allows air to circulate, keeping you cool and dry on the warmest hiking pursuits. It also has an attached, fully adjustable hood, hook and loop cuffs and an adjustable cinch at the hem to lock in body heat and keep wind and rain at bay. Sustainably driven, the outer comprises recycled materials while the water repellent finish is PFC-free. Bad weather? Not with the Dryzzle.

I have used it for occasional wear walking to and from classes at school. The outer layer soaks up water which I don't like considering it's supposed to be a rain jacket. The inner layer is the waterproof part and feels kind of weird on the skin, it's almost as if the two layers were accidentally flipped.Anyway, I've had the jacket only a year now, I take good care of it, I haven't put it through strenuous conditions, and the inside is already breaking down. The waterproofing has micro tears in areas where the jacket sits (shoulders, armpits, mid back). The material itself feels cheap honestly and it's proving to be with how quickly this jacket is degrading.Side note, I'm in the military and if I were to put this jacket through a fraction of the training we do I ... Which is sad because The North Face is supposed to provide attire for some of the most austere environments.

I bought this in Grey, and this coat performs perfectly. It has a well crafted design and is surprisingly robust, wouldn't really expect it for a coat, its rigid and hood withstands stronger winds (does fall off your head).Keeps you nice and warm for a coat of that size, provides nice insulation to the cold.Glad I bought it! Klarna is worth it too.The only thing I would like to mention, that little marks of dirt and stuff are kind of hard to get out, will have to properly wash it to clean (can just use a wet cloth for example). I guess its just the material, but its okay.

I was hoping that the jacket will be similar with or at least close to apex flex gtx 2.0.Unfortunately, jacket is too thin and the north face copy of gtx skin is low quality. When jacket is exposed to heavy rain you are getting sucking yet and you can feel the humidity on you.The jacket is not that repellent, even of simple rain or drops of water and takes long time to dry.

Best air permeabie, lightweight, and travel packable jacket I've owned. It remains to be seen how durable the Futurelight lining will last compared to Goretex. I own several TNF Goretex jackets that have lasted forever but are heavier and less comfortable than Futurelight. I'm hoping Futurelight will turn out to be a really great improvement in technical garments for rain.
I purchased this jacket for my VERY picky boyfriend. After reading the reviews I thought it would be the perfect jacket for hiking in the Northern California rains. He was very close to keeping it, which says a lot since as I mentioned he is very picky. After some back and forth he decided that he would like pit zips for ventilation just in case he wanted to wear the jacket while riding his bike.... So sorry to say, the jacket was returned. During my inspection, I thought it was a great light-weight jacket especially for the sale price. I would have liked to have seen a bit of a sturdier zipper or even snaps on the overlapping zipper vent to allow for more comfort flexibility and ventilation. Overall I would give this product without ever having been worn a 4 star. ... MoreI purchased this jacket for my VERY picky boyfriend. My girlfriend brought this home for me, I'm not even paying for it, and I'm making her return it. I would never wear this. It is so uncomfortable. I cannot figure out how this is supposed to be worn. Would the caller open it looks ridiculous, with the collar closed it rides my chin. The hood does not sit flush on the back, it's just sort of crumpled up back there. It doesn't really hang. It's sort of sticks out because it's too short. The material is great. Other than that, I hate it.
My intend was find a waterproof breathable jacket for daily commute and casual hiking. As I'm a person who sweat a lot, breathability is an important criteria. Most of the jackets with the G-brand membrane are either too tick, too noisy, or overpriced for me.The Drizzle FL checks all the boxes, and it packs down to almost nothing.I worn it for a 1h hike during a windy day and I was surprised. No overheating as jacket from other brand and no condensation inside with the front zip closed all the time! When I first wear this jacket, the fit is bit weird. There's a lot of room on the chest and sleeves are very long that can cover my fists when laying down on the side of my body. But very quickly it turns into big advantages. The roomy fit allows layering with down or breathable midlayers. The long sleeves keep my arms covered even when I rise my arms up, and still have my belly covered!Beside that, as many reviews said on this jacket, having a two way front zipper could be a bonus. But personally I can live without. If this jacket could be improved, I would like to have a little bit more room on the hood and little bit higher chin guard for cold day.On overall, this new FUTURELIGHT membrane is very impressive.
i need a coat for when i climb mount Kilimanjaro in 2023apparently you have to layer not wear a ski coat (who knew)thankfully your Leicester store was on hand to recommend the layersthis was recommended to me which i thought was expensive for my needs but as James has done the same climb i fully trusted him (perfect customer service)this outer jacket is not only water resistant but it has a lot of features, I really like how the coat can roll up into its self & stash in a bag or attach to a beltstylish enough for wearing out ,practical enough for hiking
Well it's been raining a lot here in Melbourne lately. Straight out of the box, this jacket was into use. My fit was good, L for a male 184cm at about 85kg. I have long arms & these arms are cut long so keep that in mind. Velcro cuffs help with that anyways. It's lightweight enough not to get you too hot but well waterproof, even after an hour in heavy rain. Hood is handy if you want ot keep your head dry too. Overall I'm happy, this jacket replaced a 10 year old NF gortex & I'm looking fwd to 10 more in this one.
I have been wearing the drizzle futurelight for two weeks. It is a major upgrade from the north face venture. The breathability is great and no need for armpit vents. I really like the pocket design to keep out moisture and inside breast pocket is greatly appreciated. The material seems very durable and still allows for good movement. Very happy with jacket at the sale price point. 6’1” with athletic build and large fits well alone but with enough room to layer underneath if needed.
