These shoes are extremely light and comfortable. They are great for winter trail running as they support your ankles in the uneven snow/ice/mud. Funny, the first day I used them they had a loud audible clicking sound "like the old boggle game". My wife could hear them and she was in front of me. It was so annoying that I was convinced I was going to return them. Well after the 10 mile hike, the click started to go an away. The next run/hike it was totally gone. I'm so glad I didn't return them because they've been amazing this year running the trails. They are not insulated so long winter hike are not advisable.

The boot is great overall. Very, very lightweight. The cushioning is very "Hoka-ish" which means plush and supportive. The light weight of the boot means that the outsole lugs are not very deep nor plentiful to save weight, but they get the job done. The only negative is the toe cap overlays on the upper lay right on top of the fore foot flex zones - unnecessarily stressed the cap edges, I see this being a separation issue as time goes on. I wear a 13...bought a 13 and they fit great. Zero break in is required - take them out of the box and hit the trails!

After trying several styles of hiking shoes and boots, the VECTIV Fastpack Mid FUTURELIGHT model was the clear winner for me. Lightweight like a shoe but with a good amount of arch and ankle support that you would find in a boot. I love the material, seems to be high quality and performance driven. Even the laces feel better quality than most other models. These are very comfortable for my hiking and light backpacking trips. Waterproof is also a great feature, you can wear these no matter the weather.

I was not sure about high tops. I used to wear them all the time, played a lot of sports, but the new designs started to bother my ankles. So I stopped wearing high tops. These high tops are comfortable, fit nice and have a great feel about them. They make walking much easier. I just bought a second pair and my buy more.
Got these based on all of the positive reviews. Ordered a 10.5 and 11 based on some sizing issue reviews. Was planning on breaking them in to go hiking in the Grand Canyon. I'm a 10.5 usually, but the 11 did fit my foot better. However, with every step, the upper ridge of the heel cuff rubs on the back of my Achilles; this would be a MAJOR problem if doing any amount of hiking.
Wasn't a fan of these boots even after purchasing two pairs.I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE WINTER BOOTS that are extremely similar to these. But these spring/summer versions didn't feel/ fit the same? I dunno. So I sent them back.Regardless the winter versions are pretty much sold out again and are some of the best, if not the best winter boots I've ever owned.
So far so good. Very Comfortable. I've used 4 times on trails for 2hr hikes. Feet and Achilles not as sore or stressed as before. Plus got them for a good price in color scheme I like. Only thing I wished it had was more sturdy toe protection. My trails are full rocks and prominent tree roots. Sometimes my toes still slam into those and it hurts. Example of strong toe protection w/o being a steel toe is on NB's Hierro v7 Trail shoe.
Was looking for a good pair of walking boots that were comfortable to wear keep me dry and looked good... and these tick all those boxes. I don't need boots for extreme hiking or long treks so these looked ideal for me..I went a half size up and they fit well. Not sure if I would buy them if I needed extreme protection but for my needs lots of walking and the odd mild trail hike they are ideal and needed no breaking in and feel very light but great lace up for a secure fit. Waiting for a bit of rain to see if they are truly waterproof but I'm sure they will be fine... highly recommended as a casual walking hiking boot and the addition of a free pair of socks a nice bonus
I got these 2 days ago, and I didn't have the chance to take them out yet. They look and feel great, BUT they're NOT waterproof. Even small water droplets make them look and feel wet from inside and out, as you can see from the image. My second complaint is that they don't have good traction at all. I tried them at home and walking on my wet kitchen tiles was more than enough to realize that. I can't imagine what would be on wet/snow or icy pavements outside. I wanted them for the winter here in Illinois, but I don't see any reason to get a boots that are not waterproof and don't have traction for a winter season. Probably won't keep them just because of the look and feel.
Fit is good and true to size. Could use more cushioned sole at the heel. Grip and traction are good. Good for light trails and city walking. I wore them in the rain and they kept my feet dry. I haven't worn them in snow or tracked them in deep puddles. Water resistant = yes. Waterproof = don't know. They are comfortable while driving. Some shoes aren't.
