Major improvements from the previous iteration - the cuffs are more functional, less in the way, and will stay clean and snag free. On all the jacket color wave sleeves, there is a reflective and sharp yet gentle-to-the-eye paint detailing "SUMMIT SERIES 800 FILL". Fairly frustrating that the front logo is non reflective while the other paint on the same jacket is. I wish both logos utilized the same paint as what they chose for the sleeve. Thats all subjective but I'd certainly prefer the function over the fashion in that design aspect of the jacket. Since it's non-reflective I cant complain. It's nothing a sharpie cant fix. Phenomenal product overall. I think ever human who lives in a region where it gets below 50 degrees F should have this as their light packable second skin. Love Y'all

Have had it for a few weeks. I've been using it for cold weather hiking. It is very warm, especially w a waterproof shell layered on. It is extremely packable, very light.The zipper pulls could be a little larger, and the inside pockets cant handle weight very well, but these arent problems for my use. The M fit is perfect for me, at 5'7" 170 lbs.
I ordered this jacket and when it arrived, I didn't like it. I really wasn't to happy with the color and I didn't think it would be warm enough. Anyway, over the next week, the color really grew on me and it matched a lot of my other clothes. I found it to be very warm. Yes, I know it's summer, but I would just put it on in the air conditioned house and I could feel the warmth coming from inside of it. So for me, it's a keeper, and I would highly recommend it.

This year's version (Summit Breithorn)was a bit of a let down.The wrist cuffs were stretched out and didn't create a closed seal around the wrist. Previous versions used the same material but they were tighter and more snug around the wrist to better seal out wind.The hood which used to be one of the BEST single-pull hoods on a down jacket has been changed and instead of the drawcord cinching down around your head it cinches around your neck to the point where you feel the cord choking you a bit.Last year's hood and my 2018 version had much better hood drawcords that cinched the hood nice and even around the perimeter of your face.I'm also not sure what ... I love this coat. I was missing a proper down coat from the arsenal, and this filled in all of the cracks. Insanely lightweight, comfortable, and warms up within a few seconds of putting it on, like magic. I often get nervous wearing it out hiking/backpacking, as I do not want it to rip. But, it's stood the tests of a night out on the town and a day out in the field hiking.

I was literally with him every moment- he wore the jacket only as an insulating layer during snowboarding and had an apres jacket for other activities. Well, after 5 days of use, the inner arm fabric appears stressed, a tiny hole has developed, and it's leaking feathers everywhere. I know it's a lightweight fragile jacket, but so are our Arc'teryx jackets and they are practically like new 7 years later (granted only used a few weeks a year in vacations). I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of this jacket. I've never had this problem with Patagonia or Arc'teryx. My son is fastidious with belongings, the coat was hung on a hanger when not in use, and I was with him- there was never a time that ... This jacket is extremely warm. I went with a medium and its slightly big, but not excessive for sure. (In all jackets I am a medium and I am 5'10 160lbs) the material is velvety soft yet still feels like it can handle normal use. I am a fan of the hood because of its size and how it feels, I just wish the hood adjust pulled the "brim" part back rather than the sides back. Other than that, I would certainly recommend.
This was a very nice jacket I did switch to black but the fit was perfect. I needed something for high 30s to medium cold weather. It was so warm perfect for that role plus its beyond light you won't even notice you're wearing anything.It's super soft and the fit is amazing. You can get the one with the hood and pull on the draw strings and it will make the neck collar stand up so looks really nice with that collar up and out. Its very portable for camping etc if you're into that stuff.Cuffs are elastic so it fits right on the hands as well. I've seen other brands with this type of jacket being made but NF sure you pay a bit more but I assure you it's worth the money.
