First of all , it hasn’t even been more than 2 months since ive had this gilet. This is a faulty item which has been rejected. Do not buy this gilet because it will start to lose its puff. I wear a large in everything and this fits true to size so the large was perfect. This vest is a classic especially if you live in NYC. It's puffy and filled with lots of down just the way I like it. I also like the way they tuck a hood in the collar. The hood itself is not that functional but it gives the collar some extra body and it stands up nicely around the neck. Again, a classic and should be part of every fall wardrobe.

I got this vest as a Christmas gift. Love it. I noticed the zipper started to stick, so I ordered another one. It has the same issue, so maybe that's just how it works. The zipper is just tricky. I will send the 2nd one back and keep my original. Happy otherwise.

Absolutely love this vest! Have had it in my arsenal since my freshman year in college and worn it in all conditions throughout living in Michigan, Portland, Chicago and LA. I was first gifted this vest in 2005 and it lasted me nearly 20 years (with some patching here and there). Finally had to give in and buy a new one which I look forward to wearing for another 20. This is a timeless, versatile piece that will help keep you warm indoors or out any time of year.
Really warm. shockingly so. Great for 5C down to -3C comfortably. Completely impervious to the wind, well insulated and the hand pocket warmers are a great feature. What makes this so good is the height of the neck/collar area, and the tightness of which it wraps around the neck. Seals in heat well, and layers great on top of a fleece. This with a fleece combo works for most any Toronto winter day.
Love the vest. Like all North Face products the construction and materials are top quality.The fit is perfect. This one is white and black and really looks good. I have many North Face outerwear products, and I just keep buying them because they're so good.
The service was amazing. The one thing I would improve on is when online shopping being able to use vouchers as the last couple times I have wanted to use a voucher I couldn’t. Otherwise I have Brought multiple north face from the glue store and have loved the service inside the Geelong store. There always straight up to me when I’m looking in there
Nice Vest, I'm 5'11" 185lbs, large size t shirt, 33" waist. I ordered a Medium and it fits like a vest. not tight & not like a large that is recommended.Main reason for losing one star, those of us that have been buying THF for over 45 years can see the penny pinching cost saving TNF is attempting today. The zipper pulls have gone from a decent pull to a 350 cord to now a ribbon, and now the loop to hang up the vest went from 2 sewing attachments to one. All of these may save a whole quarter in manufacturing per garment? We do notice this.
Bought the green chlorophyll design as block colourways aren't different enough. Looks great, have this alredy in the black "lightning strike" pattern of previous season. Very warm, zips right up to the chin, baffles have fluffed back up after washing too. Unfortunately have had to return as the inner zip pocket has been very poorly stitched. The zip does not go all the way along and has clearly missed the quality control as lots of loose threads caught up in the zip. Disappointing in such a premium brand this obvious poor manufacturering issue has not been identified in a quality check? Still may reorder though as sale price is a bargain. Better pocket quality would help - check inside and out when purchasing, especially zips!
This vest is amazing, I love it. But the Altitude Sports team messes up big time here with the packaging. They squish it so tight inside a small box that the feathers get clumped up resulting in the jacket not being as puffy as advertised. What you see in stores/online won't be the same as what you get from Altitude Sports till you fix it yourself. It can be fixed, but it's annoying to have to fix someone else's mistake.
