Amazing trail path race/training running shoe!!
I was surprised at how amazing these running shoes are!!! They are my new 5k trail path race/training shoes!! Super light and fast!! I bought a 2nd pair (black ones)! Plenty of toe room!! Rocker is amazing!!! I've also trained in the best of saucony trail shoes! Also trained in Asics. Bought these (pink ones) North Face just to give a try on half trail/have pavement run. Boy, was I impressed!!! My favorite so far! I'll definitely run my 5ks in these!!... Show more

Bad Tread
I wanted to love these shoes, I actually bought two pair! They are so cute and comfy. The problem is that the tread really isnt that great. If you are doing anything with any vert, or rocks be so careful when your're wearing these. I was sliding all over the hill when I wore them. Also, after about 4 hikes/runs the tread was wearing out! I had them less than two weeks before I decided to return them. NORTHFACE...I LOVE YOUR PRODUCT and would love to buy more shoes from you if you would just fix the weak tread issues.... Show more

Great multi-purpose long run shoe.
After moving to a new place unfortunately void of trials, I've been trying to find a shoe that can take the beatings of training on roads/side walks/bike paths. To make it worse, I have a high volume foot-- normal to narrow heel, high instep, wide foot splay with short toes (think hobbit...without the hair). These have been awesome. It took a little to get used to the rocker, but now they are my go to. I've used them for training runs up to 22miles so far. Only complaint is that the laces do loosen occasionally. I run on fairly flat terrain so I can't speak to the mid-foot lock needed for considerable downhills. While I also can't say how they handle technical or muddy conditions, wet side walks can be slippery as all get-out, and these do great on them.... Show more

Love them on sand/salt roads!
I'm a road runner - not a trail runner and I got these specific for winter/spring runs when the roads are covered in sand and salt from winter road care. Those conditions are slippery and dangerous for the stack shoes I run in over summer. These are some of the best shoes I've ever run in! I have somewhat problematic feet (some accessory bones that can cause extreme soreness in the wrong shoes) and I'm very very prone to blisters because my feet get really hot when I run. These shoes are wonderful - no soreness or problems at all! Not only that - they have a great feel underfoot - responsive and snappy yet supportive with just the right amount of cushion/bounce. I absolutely love them! I wish TNF made road specific shoes too!... Show more

Paid Full Price for Used Shoes
This is the third pair of this shoe I've purchased. I have some arthritis in my feet and this shoe helps minimize aggravation. I'm not impressed with this particular order though. I received the shoes in August and am just now getting ready to wear them. The shoes have mud on them and the soles are dirty. I'm well past the stated return time period, but their return policy also states that shoes must be unworn - so maybe the policy is flexible.... Show more

Returned for my old favorite TNF shoe
I loved the Vectiv Levitum model in a women size 8 for years. So I thought this would be the next waterproof logical next step. The material is a bit sturdier than the older Levitum so it is a pretty snug fit without much room to expand even though I had an appropriate amount of toe room. I sadly had to return these because it was too snug around my instep causing me tendonitis. I also wasn't a huge fan of the pale yellow color that will inevitably get very dirty very quickly as an outdoor trail shoe.... Show more

Second Pair in My Cart
I ordered a pair over the winter in black for a trail run in May. I previously have worn Altra and Topos. Hands down, I choose to put on The North Face shoes every time. They could use a bit more traction on the bottom (I love the cute butterfly prints they make in the dirt), but comfort and hop are A+. My stride feels propelled when I run in these shoes, which is a great motivator!... Show more

Sorry to say.. too tight
I work in a Greenhouse, so my shoe criteria is waterproof and all day comfort. When I got these shoes in the mail I wanted to love them! The have potential. Initially trying them on, they seemed snug but nothing too concerning. I have average/slim feet with a high arch. I wore them for 2-3 hours around the house, a good portion of that time I sat at a desk. I took them off to leave for an errand and couldn't stop thinking about how much (the bridge of) my feet hurt from that short amount of time. I need shoes to be comfortable for 8-12 hours. I could see how they might be great for a 30 minute or even an hour run. But if you need shoes for long lasting comfort like I do, don't get these.... Show more

This year shoe fits different that past years
I've owned four of these shoes and have liked them. They have great arch support! This year's model has been a bit off. My first order was for the blue pair in a women's size 7.5. The shoe that arrived was huge. It said women's but it looked liked a men's size. I sent it back and tried again with the black pair. The size was better, however this 7.5 fit pretty tight. The tie box felt smaller than it has in the past. It's hard ordering shoes online and not being able to try them on to get the sizing right. I had a race coming up and didn't have time to send the pair back for a half size bigger. I wore them in the race. My feet felt good in them until the steep down hill, when my toes slipped past the insole and the insole buckled under my toes. Maybe it was due to ... While this shoe has the best footbed for my feet, I've had strange issues with this shoe which is sad because I haven't had any with the past 4 years with the same shoe.... Show more

Wish these would have worked.
These shoes fit so tight. I bought a half size up and still could not get them on. They had a super nice rock/ supportive base cushion but were so tight. I returned them. I miss the Fastpack or were they Fastback. So much plastic now in TNF shoes. I guess they use renewable materials which is good.... Show more
