This is a great rain jacket... but not for tall people. The arms are quite short, as well as the length of the jacket on my body. It's just the style of this jacket, as I got a different North Face jacket in the same size that works perfectly. Keeps the rain off great though!

I read a lot of reviews and chose my sizing very carefully and am so pleased with the product. For reference, I’m 5’2 130ish lbs and usually go for a small for fitted, medium for a little room. I knew i wanted this as a shell for layering, so I gambled and got a large. I’m so happy with the fit for a petite person! It’s pretty boxy as expected, but due to the cropped nature of the jacket, it fits as a regular length jacket should fit me (but without being too long like they usually are) arms on the large fit properly (almost too short even), so I definitely understand the recurring complaint about the sleeve length being short.Can’t attest to the rainproof aspect yet, but judging by other reviews, I’m confident it will work.
I wore this jacket on a month-long cycling tour of Europe in June. There were many rainy days. This jacket did not keep me dry. I could see the raindrops beading on parts of the jacket, but the lower half of the sleeves soaked right through. Also, the jacket is quite short, so clothing is easily exposed at the waistline. The jacket is cute and comfortable otherwise. It's probably fine in light rain and for activities other than cycling.
I order an XL which was too big.
I LOVE this rain jacket. Definitely waterproof and super light weight yet still warm. Not to mention the look once on is a plus! I’m Personally not a review type of gal but this is worth the buy. Also very true to size with no stretch FYI
I’m 5’1” and can never find coats where the sleeves aren’t too long. These are the perfect length! I typically where a 14/L shirt and 16/XL bottoms and the XL fits perfectly with room for layers underneath.
finally a jacket with an appropriate length for short waisted person. I love this raincoat!! highly recommend
