These are well-made pants for snow and rain, and they unzip from ankle to hip. The name is inaccurate though, in that 'full zip' implies that they unzip fully along the sides of the legs. This is not true of these pants - you will need to pull them over your feet (and/or boots) to put them on or take them off; they cannot be unzipped completely. The material feels waterproof and light, I appreciate the zip fly and button for ease of pulling on and toilet access, and the kickpatches at the inner ankle add extra durability. They are inappropriate for most of my cold weather hiking so I need to return them.

These pants will keep you dry in nonstop downpour. I am 5.5 feet & 115 lbs, purchased small pants. They fit over jeans or fleece pants very nicely. Love the adjustments at the ankles. Definitely would recommend.

Wore this in the pouring Oregon rain for an 8 mile hike. I was very dry. They were comfortable to wear. Also wore these for hiking in the snow. Only down side is I wish it fully unzipped to get hiking shoes thru the pant waist without risking getting mud on the waistband. But, I would still buy these again.

I was so disappointed with this. I have bibs from the north face that I love but I don't know who these are made for - maybe someone walking around the city? They ripped in several places along my boots after one hour of light backcountry touring. The fit is nice and they are pretty waterproof, but they snag and rip too easily for this to be anything even close to something I recommend for people looking to hike, bike, backcountry ski, cross country ski, etc.
These rip so easy. After 2 wears I have a 12 inch tear. Any branch will snag and tear them. They’re probably okay for walking on trails in town, but aren’t meant for camping or work. Shame since I had a pair that last me 10 years and the DWR had just worn off so I bought these to replace.
I have the predecessor to these made with Goretex. I am only 5'3 so wanted to get a pair with a shirt inseam so decided to try these. I ordered both XS and S short. The XS was too small to fit another layer comfortably underneath, and the S was so much bigger than the XS! Fit more like a medium. The sizing is so off I am actually questioning if it's a sewing error (it's probably not). The waist is way to big in both pairs (and no belt loops to help). There is literally 8 inches of extra space in the waist of the S! By the way, the length was perfect.I usually am right in the middle of a XS and S in TNF clothes. I weigh 110 pounds. Typically I go with the S because I'd rather have some breathing room, but this is just ridiculous! Too bad, the material seems nice and ... MoreI have the predecessor to these made with Goretex. These are brand new and leak terribly. The front of my thighs Ans knees get soaked after walking for 20 minutes in the rain. Terrible product.
Great look and love the fabric, very light and packable. My waist is 27 in, my hips 37. I wear jeans size 28 and other pants US 6. Small fits me and looks great on me but the crotch is too tight, very uncomfortable after 2 minutes, even with only light leggings or base layer underneath the pants. I also ordered Medium, having read critics about the tight crotch. But the Medium are HUGE ! Waist and butt look like a size Large. Would require a belt but no belt loops. I will sadly return.
I wasn’t aware of this design but apparently the whole entire side of the pants can be unzipped on both sides. I’m not sure what this design was intended for but it makes the pants feel awkward to wear because zipper lines don’t bend as easily as fabric. I’m 5’0” 100lbs and the pants were way too long so I had to return the pants and I lost money shipping it back. The pants barely fit my waist and it was a little small. I got size small.l
I tried these on today in Cl and while i could zip them up they wouldn't have been practical as rain pants because they were too tight.I really don't understand why clothing labels don't make plus sizes. Is it that you think people over size 16 don't hike? Ski? Bike?We do. And you're missing out on a lot of business by not offering a wider range of sizes.
