The Denali is the very best jacket to protect you from wind and cold. This is my 2nd Denali jacket. I lost a lot of weight, and my first one was to large for me. It was still in great shape, so I passed it on to a friend. I knew I had to have another one. They are e well worth their price. I have bought these jackets for all 4 of my grandsons, my son, my, daughter and also my husband. I assure you if you ever get one you will love it. The black one is very upscale looking when dressing up Men instead of wearing a sport coat.North Face is tops when it comes to cold weather gear.

I use on cool days because it's not too heavy, and short hikes. I love these colors, I have a similar jacket ( NF- wind stopper) I lLove it🥰, pitched it about 15 years ago and it's still in great condition. For years I searched and hoped that I could find one similar, then I found this. In the process of buying rain jacket in purple. I am the happiest camper. Thank you for bringing this new line to NF. Biggest fan!!!

I purchased an "original" Denali jacket 12 years ago, and have worn it every year since until I finally bought this as a replacement. I am extremely disappointed.First, the Denali 2 fabric looks and feels like cheaper fleece than my original Denali The fleece is very soft, but not as thick or structured as the "professional" fleece on the original Denali.Second, the sizing of this jacket is all off. Both the body and the arms are way oversized - to the point that the seams for the arms fall several inches below my shoulders.Which brings me to the arms. The arms of the original Denali were roomy enough for sweaters, but had enough structure and form that they didn't look baggy. The arms of the Denali 2 are much bigger in circumference than the original, and that combined with the difference in fleece makes the arms of the Denali 2 feel floppy and baggy. In addition, the new Denali uses a stretchy fabric for the wrist cuff. But the original Denali's thin, non-stretchy wrist cuff was what made sure air didn't get in through the hand area. The Denali 2's new stretchy fabric is not as fitted, so it doesn't seem to seal off air as well. Plus, even just in trying the jacket on, the cuff material seemed to stretch out a little. I doubt the cuffs would maintain their shape for 12 years. And finally, the nail in the coffin: the bottom hem. My favorite feature of the original Denali is that you could cinch the bottom hem on both sides (at the hip, directly below the arms) so that (1) the jacket looks more fitted and professional, and (2) the "seal" keeps air from getting in or out. The Denali 2 pretends to have the same cinching feature, but (1) I could not get the cinching cords to actually work, and (2) the cords are located in the front of the jacket, so if you cinch the hem it not only adds bulk to your front waist area, but results in "cord excess" hanging out the front bottom of the jacket.Needless to say, I returned this jacket.

Really comfy, warm, cute style. True to size, I got the medium, for reference I am 5'2 130 lbs and am usually a size medium. It fit me well with room to wear a sweater underneath. My one slight issue with it is that the sleeves are really long and big actually, but I attribute the length to my petite height, and the sleeve being bigger was ok with me because of the fact that it allows for a decent sized sweater to wear underneath the jacket. All in all 5/5 for quality and comfort, 4/5 for style.
This is a great jacket. It is really warm and comfortable. Recommended: buy the mens jacket for longer torso queens, but I loved this one for me. I got a size L and I'm 5'6" and 180lbs and it fits nicely: meaning that I have room in the jacket for a sweater-shirt underneath. If in doubt you could size up because there are the "synchers" on the size that tighten the bottom of the jacket.I machine washed and hung dry, per the recommended instructions and it is great! You'll likely need to wash before wear because the purple fuzzies attached to my clothes. It did NOT do that after washing.
I've had my original Denali fleece since 2005. It was getting a little worn so I decided to get a new one. Jackets are very similar but not identical. Old jacket had snaps on the sleeves to hold gloves, the zipper pulls were braided cord & the zippers were invisible with a little flap to conceal them and proper zipper stops.New jacket has no glove snaps, cheaper ribbons for the zipper pulls and the zippers are visible and don't have stops. Clearly a cost cutting measure at some point. I discovered this was an issue when I went to zip up my left pocket only to discover the zipper had come off on one side. Looks like whoever sewed it up didn't put it on evenly and without the zipper stop it just slides right off the track on that side. Not a deal breaker but for an ... MoreI've had my original Denali fleece since 2005. It was getting a little worn so I decided to get a new one. Jackets are very similar but not identical. I bought this for my mother as a Christmas gift, and it fits her perfectly! It's warm, double, and durable! I am in love! However, I ordered a size medium, but it fits her too big from the length and arms as well. I should have order a size small, but it's no big deal! I have no problem going to the store in person to exchange the size to a small. It was a mistake on my end for the mistaken size. Other than that, this is a great gift to give someone! I love it! I will buy me one!
This is the perfect fall jacket and then winter layer and then spring jacket. Just all around cozy. I particularly like the oak color. Although I grabbed a staple black too. Follow washing instructions (inside out/no dryer) or face the consequences (ask me how I know). I kind of treat this like my merino wool sweaters. Treat spot stains. Wash seldom. Air liberally. Enjoy. Im not wearing this to a sweaty work out. Yet I consider this piece to be a workhorse in my wardrobe (utilitarian). Love it! Treat it like I do. I see you coveting my Dinali. Get your own. You're gonna love it.
Bought this for my teen daughter who is very picky about clothes. We live in NYcC, and she commutes to school so needed something lightweight for those cold winter mornings. This jacket is perfect for her. No hood means it's not getting in the way her of backpack or long hair. She can layer with a hoodie under it, and it's enough warmth for walking around town in 30 and 40 degree weather. It's simple & versatile.
This is my second time buying this coat. My first one lasted me for over 10 years. I always liked this style and fit, so that's why I decided to buy another one of it. The style is still the same, but the quality of it is much thinner than what it used to be and feels much cheaper too. The sizing for it is way bigger and looser fitting than before, too. I had to return my first order because I had to size down two sizes. I went from buying a large to returning it and getting a size small instead. The fit is looser all around, except for the chest area. Sadly, I can't go down or up a size without having to deal with sizing issues in certain areas. I decided to keep it, but I just wish the sizing, fit, and quality were back to how they used to be.Here are my sizing ... MoreThis is my second time buying this coat. The fit was loose everywhere, but the chest area was a little tight and the sleeves were long. I am 5'4; I weigh 150 pounds, and I am a 34D.
