The One Dolce & Gabbana Men 150 ml Eau De Toilette Spray

A must have for men. Safe, Smooth, Confident. This fragrance was a blind buy in my fragrance awakening in 2020. I had received a cologne for Christmas in 2019 and didn’t love it. (it was jimmy choo man) Not that it was that bad, but I began to wonder what else was out there, and I started doing research. I came across all of the big youtubers( Jeremy Fragrance, Gent Scents, etc.) and a lot of them recommended this as a safe blind buy. When i received this one I was blown away. I wasn’t sure what I was smelling but i couldn’t stop wearing it. Now that I have over 50 colognes, it’s still a frequent reach for me in the collection. Dolce Gabanna The One has notes of Grapefruit, Amber, Tobacco, Cedar, Cardamom, Ginger. This scent definitely leans more to a night time, dating scent. When i was single, this one got me attention when going out, and I even had a girl grab me and pull me close for her to smell. Wearing this makes you feel cooler than you actually are. I learned that grapefruit (one of the main notes in this cologne) gives you confidence. This fragrance could be worn on summer nights or in the winter, as it leans a bit more heavy. I would give this fragrance a solid 9/10 and recommend it to anyone looking to get a date night scent.

Top notes are Citruses, Bergamot, Neroli and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Lavender, Sage and Pepper; base notes are Tobacco, Tonka Bean and Cedar,according to Fragrantica. A very good, complex herbal lavender and tobacco scent. I was wore the original Italian version in the 95’s-00's from my old man, but I remember this smelling so good only a bit too mature for my tastes of that time. This is a 2015 bottle of the UK version and it still smells very similar as far as memory goes. I can’t remember when last time smelled the vintage one but this it’s a lackluster version of what the original pour homme used to be. After conversing for a while, and talking about the good times you used to have together you realize that they've changed, the spark of companionship the two of you used to share is no longer there. It comes on with strong juicy sweet and fruity/citrus brightness. Mid notes are mostly lavender, which lends a softness and touch of sophistication with some herbal spiciness from the sage and pepper before the lavender mingles well with tobacco for the basenotes with some woodiness as well. Some people like sillage bombs and in comparison to the original, this UK version is noticeably subdued. But don't mistake that for meaning poor longevit, still has good lasting power 6-7h and still projects for the first 2 hours at an arm length ... just not “as”strongly like the OG.

If you have the OG The One you dont need this too. This on my skin is not powdery, but rather crisp and more sharp, and stays sharp longer. It is more floral than fruity. The One is sweeter, more syrupy and it is very balsamic, this is why I started loving The One, it reminded me of how incense smells. I imagine L'Eau to be more compatible with oily skin types, because such crisp, dry, sharp perfumes dont work on my dry skin. Its drydown is very much like The One, so it is as beautiful, but lighter. Like I said overall it is less sweet, not as balsamic, slightly dusty ambery at first, but they have the same DNA. The tangerine makes it more citruys than The One, quite reminiscent of Fenty's citrusy vibe (tangerine there too). It is suitable for those who didnt like how syrupy and sweet The One is. Im on a gourmand craze so I crave sweet, deep, strong scents and The One totally delivers in that department. I live for vetiver, amber and I love anything benzoin, incense so you get the point. The scent from the sprayer of both L'Eau and The One remind me strongly of Honey by Marc Jacobs which I used to have (mandarin, peach common notes).

Regardless of its proyection or longevity, for me it is one of the most pleasant fragrances I have ever tried. "It smells like an elegant and mature gentleman." I recognize that the odors have not range of age, but I think this works better for someone of 35+. A lot of amber, very soft citrus and tobacco (my favorite note) subtle in intensity, I am so stunned with the combination of these notes. Do not be fooled by the "boring" of the beginning, this fragrance has an "Ace", its evolutionary development, i feel an indescribable peace around that make me laugh inside. It seems to me that the concept is a fragrance for intimacy, for the enjoyment of people who have our extreme confident. I absolutely love, Love, LOVE "Light Blue, by Dolce Gabbana"🤗💙! If I could give it 10 stars, I most definitely would✨️! This is easily, byfar, my ALL‐TIME, MUST‐HAVE favorite perfume... I'm totally obsessed with it🥰🤗!! I love that its so very light and refreshing, it's the perfect Summer-time scent🌞! I can pick up on scents of Sicilian Cedar, Jasmine, a little Citron, that combine marvelously to create a sweet, clean, earth-like scent that can almost be calming. D&G The One - it's a big yes from me!

I invested in this lauded D&G fragrance and on the whole, have not been disappointed.True to reviews, it does have "...spicy-oriental notes ... a little warmer than our [D&G's] other men's scents".Top Note: It boasts some lovely top notes, including bergamot, coriander and basil (yes, basil is what I noticed and for some reason, it just works, too).Middle Note: I think this is where the money is, carefully balancing cardamom, ginger and neroli.Bottom Note: True to its reviews there are lingering notes of cedar, ambergris and tobacco (although nothing quite as heavy as a Tom Ford equivalent), which exude a sense of 'masculinity'. But a word of warning. I wouldn't wear this fragrence by day to visit the local cafe to meet your friends. The fragrance definitely evolves into these amazing afternotes that live up to its formidable reputation. However, after 2-3 hours it all seems to dissipate leaving only the faintest residue. You may need to decant some into a small atomizer if you're hoping to maintain this fragrance all night long?Summary: Bang for buck?... this D&G fragrance lives up to its name. One might experience considerably more depth and duration from a Tom Ford (Oud Wood) equivalent. But at three times the price? I think D&G's The One, is incredibly good value. On the whole, it's a yes from me.

I spent YEARS searching for this

Ever since I was little, I was a perfume girl. Loved all the tiny glass bottles, the colors and feeling "fancy" having them displayed on my bathroom counter. But, eventually I fell out of wearing perfume as I got older. Every smell was either too sweet, too strong, too fruity, too musky, etc. That's until I was in the mall and someone handed me a sample on a piece of paper and OH MY GOD. I found my new signature scent! I get compliments all the time. Normally I am very cautious about wearing perfumes in the office or school because you never know who will be sensitive to it. But I've gotten nothing but compliments and people asking me what I'm wearing nonstop! It's not too strong, has light floral notes, but not too.. girly? It's nice & light

When I first bought this perfume I thought that it has no smell. That's what I wrote in my original review. I've used the whole bottle & started liking it after several weeks & what I noticed was the fragrance on my blouse at the end of the day. People would compliment me on how nice I smelled. I didn't notice it but others did. I was going through some Ulta boxes a cpl of weeks, ( I have alot of stuff from Ulta including samples, travel sizes, regular size products, lots ofvextra makeup bags, I always give away stuff & the regular size products I give as gifts, my grand children love all the little extras & I have a big backpack filled with samples & regular sized perfumes. I feel that the best parfum to wear is oil but also a parfum that goes on light & the only ppl who can smell you are ppl who you are up close with, ppl I work with, friends, family & we get & give lots of hugs. This parfum is personal & that is the difference between a good fragrance & an alcohol based fragrance that you can smell coming down the hall & around the corner. I don't want to smell like the latter! If you think it's not strong enough for you, take your dress off after work & you will smell that light fragrance & now you know that this is what your co workers, friends & family are smelling! That's you & you smell nice!

Not the same scent anymore?

I have worn this Dolce and gabbana light blue for years now and always always my "favorite" scent and always received so many compliments when wearing it however over the last several years I noticed the scent isn't the same anymore smells like its more watered down or something the company may have changed in the scent which isn't as great smelling as it once was? I purchased in department stores Macy's and other big retailers that sell only authentic perfumes and even in those stores Dolce and gabbana light blue for women doesn't smell the same anymore more weaker smelling?
