🫧 I received this from Influenster and The Ordinary in exchange for my honest review. This cleanser is one of the first products I’ve tried from The Ordinary and I’m quite pleased! 🫧 This foaming cleanser has a texture that’s a bit more watery than your typical gel cleanser. Although ‘foaming’ is in its name, it only produced a light lather with minimal foam. It doesn’t contain fragrance but it does have a slight unfragranced-skincare-chemical smell to it. 🫧 I really enjoyed using this cleanser during my second cleanse! It left my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed, and never stripped or dried out my skin despite being a foaming cleanser. This cleanser was a great gentle cleanser, but does not do anything for my acne prone skin. While it did not cause me to break out more, I wouldn’t necessarily say it helped to clear any breakouts I had. What I will say is this cleanser is very good at helping your skin maintain moisture, but not overly so. I had no issues with this cleanser drying out my skin and it made my skin feel quite soft. This Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser cleanser is a daily purifying cleanser that does what it says. It’s a gel-like texture that dispenses easily and efficiently. It didn’t dry my face out with daily use; which is very important when having combination skin. I tend to have dry patches around my mouth; but this cleanser has helped significantly. Awesome Cleanser & super affordable!!!

I absolutely love this cleanser and how it makes my skin feel. It hydrates it and makes it feel so soft. I have normal to dry skin, and more on the dry side lately. So this cleanser has helped out a lot. It’s also a decent sized bottle, so it will last you a while. You don’t need much of it in order to clean your face, only a dime sized amount. I love The Ordinary & have been a fan of their products for years now. They are all amazing, and they even give you free skin consultations to figure out the most suitable skin regimen for you of their products. I LOVE that. Mixed Thoughts…

I have mixed thoughts about this facial cleanser… it’s kind of a thin, liquidy, gel, slippery, consistency. When it’s first in your hands, it can slip off pretty easily so you have to hurry and try to lather it up with both hands so it doesn’t slide off your hands. I do sometimes shake the tube to see if it helps, not sure if it does or not though. It actually does a pretty decent job at at lathering up. I feel like you have to use a lot of the cleanser to actually have enough to wash your face, because of the consistency. It has this weird awful chemical smell to it. It’s hard to explain, but it’s definitely not a great smell. I do think it cleans my face pretty well, like squeaky clean. Warning for contact dermatitis and sensitive skin!

Alkyl glucosides used and still technically are considered mild and gentle BUT several years ago were found to actually be allergens that can cause allergic dermatitis reactions. Literally won allergen of the year in 2017. You can google the studies. While a lot of people won’t have reactions many don’t realise that the reason they are breaking out in bumps, redness, little white heads all over is from a reaction to glucosides in products. They are in so many amazing products from all brands and all types of products because it’s still considered genérele and mild but just know that if you are prone to contact dermatitis, have a compromised skin barrier, or sensitive skin in general you should try your best to shy away from glucosides. Hoping this helps people who have had issues with skincare and can’t seem to figure out what the ingredient is. Glucosides come up in search as being safe for sensitive skin until you keep researching. A lot of sunscreens use it as well and it’s not always the uva/uvb ingredient irritating your skin.

Works WONDERS on my Oily/normal skin!

I have oily skin and sometimes its very hard to find a cleanser that will not DRY my face and make it flaky. Such as CeraVe that dried my face so bad even tho it is from oily to normal skin. I have been using this glucoside foaming cleanser for a whole month now and waited till i can finally post. Usually winters are very problematic for me but this year my face has been the most glowing and shiny. I didnt and still don’t have any break outs from ANY of the Ordinary products so i guess their products are very suitable for my skin. I’m a teen, too, and have had some skin problem recently and ordinary helped me solve my skin problem in a matter of 2-3 weeks.
