The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 60ml

This isn’t my favorite niacinamide serum, I find it feels tacky after applying but as long as I apply my moisturizer after the tackiness goes away. It gets the job done, my skin is smoother, brighter and more even toned overall. I prefer the Good Molecules version of this serum. It absorbs better, and is the same price point. This serum does seem to last forever though, I’ve been using it for about 6 months and I’m about half way through the bottle. Honestly my skin looks amazing after 1 month of use. I’ve been using the daily set since January, and just ordered at the beginning of January 2 balance sets. About an hour ago, I ordered a hair oil, 2 cleansers, and another moisturizer. I’m not even done the first ones yet, and in the sets they come in the small bottles mostly, other than the toner which I believe is standard size. The daily set being used since January, the only thing done out of it was the moisturizer and even then I still had a bit to hold me over until receiving my second sets. It took 1.5 month and the bottle is about to finish , first when I started, as i have sensitive skin and i rarely use any product i got breakouts but i believed and trusted the process. I had little holes on my left cheeks due to chicken pox's which i love but otherwise i suddenly started breakout and started having those black mark, i tried what not but got this due to hype and it worked , although my friend suggested to use minimalist which i haven't use , maybe after it get finish but so far it it best. Update: my friend used this and she got used breakout , apparently the 10% can not suit everyone (especially if you are too sensitive)so she tried 5% one from minimalist and it worked , so if you have any breakout use 5% one . yep i still use this because not only it removed my acne marks but also make my skin more brighter . And yes if it still not helping with acne use- salicylic acid and (paired it with with hyaluronic acid if you are not much oily , I will say even if you are combination skin ) 3 times a week . And if you want more glow finish- use vitamin c same result but niacinamide will be better if you are sensitive . I will upload how does my skin look now The lightning is same but if you use it over the time you will notice skin brightening and lighting. And if you are confuse between minimalist and ordinary. Ordinary work fast but some product cause irritation in some people and minimalist work slower but not cause much irritation. All are these my observation, after trying different things . Definitely making a difference

I purchased Niacinamide 10% + Zinc, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Salicylic Acid 2% mask and Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I was hoping to help with oily skin and acne scars and mild adult acne. The Hyaluronic Acid was for moisture and the Caffeine for dark circles under eyes. I love the Niacinamide and will continue to use it. After 5 weeks use, I have noticed, skin is a lot less oily, I can go all day without having to wipe oil off my forehead! I also notice fewer pimples. (I had a few after 3 weeks use which may have been a "healing crisis" or just Christmas indulgence). I haven't noticed much difference in the acne scars yet but my scars are pock marks so not sure if this will be possible, will check back after 12 weeks. They Hyaluronic Acid works great for moisture but there is an issue sometimes with pilling/flaking when applied on top of niacinamide so I might try the moisturizing cream instead (I don't have very dry skin). My skin looks very nice and very smooth after using the salicylic mask. Not sure if it has any other effects or not. It's hard to know when you're using multiple products at once. It's a bit hard to squeeze out but not that big of a deal. The caffeine solution seems to help a bit with dark circles but then it makes my wrinkles show up more so I'm not sure about this one... might be better for a younger woman. I've attached my before and after (after 5 weeks). I couldn't get the lighting exactly the same but you'll get the idea, skin is definitely less oily and just looks better and brighter. Even my husband notices the difference. He notices that my skin is less oily and smoother!

After applying it to my skin and allowing it to dry, it would always leave a sticky residue and if I rubbed my face I'd get goopy chunks of product that felt more like half-dried glue bits. Rubbing my face would even leave my hands sticky afterwards. It always left me feeling gross and wanting to wash my face again. This product says its lightweight, but it feels heavier than any spf moisturizer I've ever put on. Still, I stuck it out and continued using the bottle until it was empty so that I could really see how it effected my skin long term and give it the benefit of the doubt. Let me just say, I was BEYOND underwhelmed. After using the product daily for over a month, I only saw negative results. My skin appeared to have more blemishes than when I had first started the product (most likely because I stopped using my regular niacinamide and zinc formula that previously cleared any blemishes up). My laugh lines were also far more dramatized than they were before and after reading more reviews of this product, I came to discover that many other people experienced the same issue and even mentioned this product has things in it that can cause premature aging in the skin. When using the product over the span of a couple of months, the sticky gluey feeling never diminished and I even found that my normally unreactive skin would feel more itchy than normal after using this product. Luckily I didn't have any breakouts or issues like that, but the product was terrible to use daily and did more harm than good. Needless to say, I will not be using this product anymore and will be continuing on with my other brand.

I also felt a burning sensation after each use, but really wanted to give it a chance and went back to the basics (cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen) and I still had issues and my skin continued to harden and dry up. I was frustrated and confused because I couldn't find answers as to why I was having such a strange reaction anytime I used this product. Eventually, after much digging, I discovered that this should not be used by those with dry skin, especially at such a high concentration of 10%.I still stand by niacinamide and zinc as skincare ingredients, they are excellent for your skins health and have really helped many people in their skincare journey. This can be a great option for those struggling with acne prone skin and textural irregularities (if you have an oilier skin type).I'm here because I don't want other people with similar skin types to mine to buy this and feel lost or confused if they have a bad reaction. Quickly shrivel ups acne

Ive never gotten behind a skincare product so much until I tried this. Ive been using it for a year to make sure it works across all seasons (east coast snow and humidity) and it does. I had adult acne that was outta control for many years and only cooled down with good sleep and low stress. A little blob of this smeared on the budding or full blown acne shriveled them away regardless of my sleep and stress situation. Sometimes if i apply it to a spot before the pimple is full grown in the morning, its completely gone by lunch!
