I’m very impressed with this toner for the price tag, since it rivals the more expensive ones out on the market. Although I have oily skin, I always go for some sort of hydrating toner because I always found other toners/astringents would strip my skin and further contribute to how oily my skin would become. This reminds me of some of the Korean skincare toners like the one from Laneige. This too is a milky toner, but is watery in consistency and sinks right into the skin. Right away I could see the moisture and glow it brought to my skin, and how easily it hydrated and plumped my fine lines. I love using this after doing a clay mask, which can sometimes make my skin feel too stripped of moisture, but this replenishes all the moisture I lost right away so I don’t ... MoreI’m very impressed with this toner for the price tag, since it rivals the more expensive ones out on the market. I love using this after doing a clay mask, which can sometimes make my skin feel too stripped of moisture, but this replenishes all the moisture I lost right away so I don’t wake up the next day with my face feeling tight. I will say my skin gets so much hydration from this that at first, my skin almost feels tacky, which doesn’t last forever, but is something to keep in mind if you use this before applying primers, makeup, etc etc. The only little drawback for myself personally is that due to how moisturizing this is (and I think due to the Isoceteth-20 in the ingredients) I do notice sometimes I’ll have a tiny zit or two pop up after using this, which isn’t terrible, but due to that, I keep this in my arsenal for days specifically when I need a moisture boost as opposed to using this every day. Overall though I highly recommend it, especially for those of you with dry skin and anyone who feels like they need an extra layer of moisture. This will be a huge help and it’s such a simple step and easy to incorporate into your skincare routine. Can’t wait to use this in the colder months!

I hated this product. I used this for about two weeks, with a goal of trying to make it through at least a month, and had to stop using it because it destroyed my moisture barrier, and it gave me cystic acne along with less severe (but still gross looking) pustules all over my face… probably because it destroyed my moisture barrier. Ugh. I was actually quite hopeful the first time I tried it, I used it at night and when I woke up in the morning my skin felt very soft. After a couple of days I started to break out—I figured because I halted my Tretinoin and other actives while testing this out. So I tried using this at night, letting it try, and applying my Tretinoin (I’ve been using Tret for a long time—my skin can usually handle layering it with mild actives). I tried using this as my morning active and only using tret at night, no, I started getting cysts and my skin felt ROUGH and clogged. I switched back to using this only in the morning, no actives at night, and the acne got so much worse. I don’t think it was purging, my skin felt physically so uncomfortable and the acne was different from my previous purges. It took me a week and a half for my skin barrier to heal after stopping this and I’m finally able to return to my normal actives. I will also note, I dislike the glass bottle (afraid to drop it) and I also found the product to have a mildly yeasty smell, which is a little gross. I hope this works better for other people, but those who are acne-prone may have to proceed with caution.

The Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner is a very nice toner that provides a multitude of skin benefits in a lightweight milky formula. It gently exfoliates, smooths skin texture, reduces the appearance of textural irregularities, reduces the look of dark spots, encourages brighter more radiant skin, and thanks to the added squalane it will provide all day hydration as well. This toner is extremely gentle and I have not experienced any irritation, stinging, or redness at all. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin leaving you with a bit of dewy glow. The bottle has a dropper cap similar to those on some essential oil bottles, so when using it will dispense in droplets not in an open pour. I add some droplets into my palm and use the tip of my finger to apply it to my skin. I have had nice results with my skin texture appearing smoother on my cheeks and forehead and overall better hydration. This is a great product and I definitely recommend it.

Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner, yes the name is a mouthful, but Milky Toner is enough. This is that! A super gentle exfoliating toner, but without the acids, so no worry about complicated routines, it also hydrates, and provides a very nice barrier support I have used this with my vitamin C, and with my retinol routines with no irritation, and while it has a milky consistency it feels very light on the skin, absorbing easily. No noticable scent, just skin that feels smoother, and has a nice plump hydrated look. The 30% saccharomyces ferment, which is a yeast ferment technology that has 3% fermented N-acetylglucosamine (NAG). This also has squalane in which helps boost your hydration, and lasts all day long. All the way around I’m finding this to be an impressive toner, one great for dry skin, but also beneficial for every other skin type. If I had a single complaint it would be the size of the bottle. It’s a fairly small 100ml glass bottle with a pore top, I would love to see this in a larger 200ml version. The price tag, $14, is very reasonable and the quality will make you think you paid much more than that. Well done, I love it, and recommend giving it a try if your looking for a hydrating toner that gives you a bonus light exfoliation, especially if you hate playing the guessing game of; can I use this toner with this serum
Hello, my skin is combo-oily (especially during the summer), clog prone, and acne-prone. Most products clog my pores or break me out. Ive only been using this product for a full week, but anything bad for my skin always reacts within the first 3 days, ALWAYS. Ive yet to get anything except a beautiful glow! It pairs very well with my sunscreens and might be too hydrating for me to wear with my mineral sunscreen so ive been using my chemical suncreen and it has been fantastic. I have mill chocolate skin and prone to blemishes. I am recovering from acne blemishes from the past and in just a week, this has put my skin back on a healthy track. Prior, i was using Anua which was gentle and a great start to my skin-but more for soothing than gentle exfoliation and hydration. Now, i dont feel the need fo repurchase. This toner is much cheaper and effective for my needs. I have applied it both night and day, rarely could i get away with doing that with any toner that has exfoliating properties, thats how gentle this one is for my skin. If it doesnt work for you, its okay, theres something else for you out here. For my skin though, its heaven sent. I hope they dont fo ruining it! Also, i have used it both with and without a cotton pad. The dispenser makes it a little hard ro over use product (love) so im able to put it directly on my face in the morning and on a cotton pad at night.
I've been on the hunt for a toner that leaves my skin feeling truly clean for most of my adult life. I felt like no matter what cleanser I used, my skin always felt at least a little gunky afterwards. And the same with every toner I've tried, still never felt like everything was gone. Not with this stuff. Oh my goodness. Two swipes of this magical white liquid and everything ranging from excess oil to built-up sebum to residue from whatever is GONE. Goodbye. No more. Easily, but also gently, dissolves every piece of micro garbage on my face leaving me with baby soft skin and the most perfect canvas for makeup (on days that I wear it.) I've been telling everyone I know to run, not walk, to your nearest Ulta (or wherever) and get a bottle. I will probably never buy ... MoreI've been on the hunt for a toner that leaves my skin feeling truly clean for most of my adult life. I've been telling everyone I know to run, not walk, to your nearest Ulta (or wherever) and get a bottle. I will probably never buy another toner as long as I live, it's *that* fantastic.Better still, I have extremely sensitive skin. I'm talking like 95% of stuff I've ever tried I end up being allergic to or it breaks me out, but with this I haven't experienced irritation of any kind. I use it every day, and still no adverse affects.I thank the universe every day for uniting me with the holy grail of holy grail toners, thus allowing the time-consuming and arduous hunt to finally come to a close. My only gripe is the amount you get. Ordinary, if you're reading this, I'd like to buy it by the gallon please.
Thank you so much, Influenster and The Ordinary, for sending the Saccharomyces Ferment 30% in exchange for an honest review. This is a milky white toner that's a hydrating toner that has exfoliating properties to help with uneven skin tone. But also, this gives your skin that beautiful radiance it really does help to brighten up your complexion as well. If you don't need something that gives brightness or that helps with the uneven skin tone but let's say you just need something for hydration, I'm telling you right now this Milky toner gives your skin so much hydration. This really preps your skin for your serums, and it gives your skin this beautiful dewy look. You can use this every day twice a day. This really preps your skin for your serums, and it gives your skin this beautiful dewy look. You can use this every day twice a day. It's also perfect for all skin types, which is really great because this is a fermented formula with a set of glucosamine ingredients, a non acidic alternative to let's say Alpha hydroxy acid so it's very gentle perfect for all skin types but it's not that true acid ingredient that could irritate your skin instead it's an amino acid sugar that hydrates the skin but also improves that uneven skin tone. There's a 12-month shelf life once you open up the product. It's in a glass-style packaging that looks sleek and chic. It's very affordable at $14. A little goes a long way. I do like the spout on this glass bottle because it doesn't pour out fast. You need a few drops, and it spreads evenly over the face nicely. I also bring it down my neck. I use this with other skin care ingredients, and it did not cause any kind of irritation. I used this with retinol, copper peptides, glycolic, and lactic acid and did not experience any problem. I do love how this gives my skin a hydrating glow even through makeup. This did give a softer, smoother feeling to my face and neck . This is fragrance-free, but some people say they can detect a scent. It does not bother me in the slightest. But over all, I'm highly impressed. I will definitely purchase more in the future.

I really love the AHA 30% BHA 2% Peeling Solution, I definitely see a difference when I use this product. The Ordinary launched their brand in 2013 with their affordable products and dupes for the most expensive brands. I received Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner to test out. I use the Toner after my cleanser in the morning and evening. What I can say I noticed with this toner is the instant hydration. Usually with skincare I need at least 30 days to test out a product to get maximum results. I didn’t see any brightness to my face, I didn’t break out which is a bonus. I did read that this toner can be used for all skin types which is nice. The claims on this toner is it’s going to give you hydration, Help with uneven skin, Tone, Get rid of bumps, Enlarged Pores, and Rough patches of skin. This toner is affordable and priced at $14 and can be purchased on the Ordinary website or at Ulta Beauty.
I received this toner from influenster and the ordinary in exchange for my honest review. I'm always excited about getting a new toner to try. My fave toner sadly got discontinued and now is too expensive to keep buying from private sellers. I love The Ordinary products, I think they make really great products with effective ingredients and none of the extra unnecessary stuff so they're able to keep very affordable prices and cater to all skin types. This toner unfortunately did not work as well for me as I was hoping. It has a lot of yeast in it. When I open the bottle it smells like a sourdough bread dough ball that has been rising. That's how strongly it smells of yeast which made me a little nervous because that can raise the yeast levels in your body and for us girls out there, you know how uncomfortable high yeast levels can be in certain areas of the body. Even though I applied this to my face it still adds to my body in general and it was just a bit too much for me. I got some itchy skin and as soon as I stopped using the toner the itchy skin went away so I know that's what caused it.Other then my issues lol it works decently. It cleansed my skin removing any excess dirt and oil and felt hydrating and did not strip my skin at all like some toners can. It isn't drying at all. but I didn't really notice anything else because I wasn't able to use it for a longer period of time.I will say I love the packaging! The cute little frosted glass bottle with the little metal cap is so cute and I love how it looks and feel. Sadly this toner isn't for me but I'm sure it would work better for ppl with a different skin PH then me.
When I saw the consistency of this toner after the announcement of the new product, I was not thrilled. I was looking for something less liquid, with the consistency of an emulsion. I was afraid that such a toner would be drying for my acne prone skin, it would strengthen transepidermal water loss. I couldn't have been more wrong!!!I use the toner both in the morning and in the evening after cleansing my skin. How well it moisturizes my combination skin is indescribable. It has the consistency of whole milk, pumps the skin with moisture from the inside, you can get glass skin with it without even trying too hard. I simply pat it into the skin with my hand right after drying it after washing. In my morning care, especially now in the summer, I simply apply SPFon ... MoreWhen I saw the consistency of this toner after the announcement of the new product, I was not thrilled. In the evening, I add products e.g. with active ingredients.I'm convinced that this product helps regulate the process of keratinization of the epidermis. I currently use much less exfoliating ingredients since I introduced this toner to my care, and I have significantly fewer closed comedones appear on my face. My skin is glowy and soothed. Just take your time, use it every day and observe the change week over week. It's great to see something like this after the era of overly strong and irritating acids. In fact, this product has dethroned all other milk toners I've used. The entire vast Asian skincare industry must give way to this product on the podium.
