I'm writing this honest review after receiving a free sample from Ocado. These Spice Tailor kits are really handy if you don't have a store cupboard full of spices etc. Simple to use and a convenient stepping stone between buying ready-prepared dishes and cooking from scratch. You can add whatever you fancy or have to hand. I'm no Thai aficionado and I don't think the onions, peas, sweetcorn and boiled eggs I used ended up creating a particularly authenic meal but it tasted great and flavourful. The heat from the Chilli is quite subtle so if you like it hot then you may want to add extra. The packaging could be improved as it's difficult to recycle. Tip: use the water the instructions tell you to add to rinse out the sachets otherwise you risk wasting quite a bit.

I made the prawn and green vegetable recipe as I was delighted to see a recipe with much green veg. This is so quick to make and I will add more various veg next time. In fact, this could be a great vegetarian dish if desired. If you don’t like prawns then you could use chicken. Was very impressed especially as it was ready in 10 minutes.

Taste so good…. Quick and easy to come up with a perfectly authentic tasty Thai curry in a rush. I defo can taste the right balance of herbs and perfect favours of sweetness, saltyness and spiciness and creaminess with the right amount of coconut cream. I can’t wait to try the other curry paste from your selection.

Free Sample box and wow! Cooked it tonight with chicken mushrooms and broccoli plus rice and some cheese on top. I didn't add the spice packet due to my son but even without it, it was delicious. Amazing flavour and smell. Perfect meal for a cold evening.
I'm not a fan of curry kits; I find them generally bland and ordinary,, but I must say, the ST red Thai curry is something else. The key thing is that the base notes are authentic and rich, but it provides a base fir dialling up the heat or fishiness.A tip: make it up the day before you want to eat. The richness of flavours improves. You can add prawns, fish or chicken, but do it on the first day.
Don’t like it very much to sweet,I don’t like coconut I so sorry I had to say that. Was In Tesco yesterday they had 4 rows. Fullof The Spice Taylor .I bought Hyderabad Biryani, korma curry, and classic lentil targa daal. Will let you know how they are. Margaret.
Have been recently trying these kits and love them . I’d love tho more selections in Ireland we do have the curry kits korma Thai one some paste but Dont do the Biriani ones I’ve nearly tired all the kits haven’t a take away since Christmas these are so good and taste so much better love them 🇮🇪
I used the Thai Red curry sauce with chicken. The taste was fabulous . I'll be purchasing more of these Spice Tailor, we could have a different one every day. Is that being greedy ? I believe Tesco have the best choice.
Well I cant say I've tried every Spice Tailor product - but most of them and without doubt, they are the best of all the "sauce " products. The flavours are exquisite and simply divine. Prep and cooking could not be easier. And now I've discovered the recipes on the website, there's no holding back. Love them. Well done.
I finally got around to cooking this recently using chicken and it was very nice and up to the very high usual standards of the range which I have tried to date. It was still a great dish. The simplicity of cooking it compared to the amazing taste on the plate is a joy. I have tried so many of these products to date and will continue trying the range and buying more of the ones we love. Thank you Spice Tailor.
