This design flaw overshadows its sleek appearance, making it unsuitable for those seeking a genuinely quiet experience. I returned it promptly.

You don't want to re-boil. Most important there may be children around. Some of you have complained about The BEEP !. Our lives are full of BEEPS! Mobile touch pad BEEPS! TV Remote BEEPS ! Returning hands free to its base unit BEEPS!. Aircon BEEPS! Car Reverse BEEPS! The ATM BEEPS! Maybe you should boil a BEEPING BILLY !. Oh ! bye the way my refrigerator plays an annoying tune when left open what a silly idea!

This is a beautiful kettle, heats quickly and does the job. But it has this very loud beep. It beeps when you take it off the base, it beeps when you put it back on the base, it beeps when you press the button to start heating (or when you press any of the buttons) and when the water is at temperature it beeps 3 times!. So every time I want to use the kettle, Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep Beep Beep! One beep is enough at the end of boil and honestly the multiple beeps is enough to make me stop purchasing this brand kettle again. Also, glass would have been great to be able to see the water level clearly, as the hight indicator under the handle is hard to see.

Boils water quickly and quietly. Very well thought out design. Right down to the plastic section that sits above the lid to allow you to close the lid whilst hot. Highly recommend this kettle. The various temperature settings are also perfect.
Bought this to match my toaster and within 2 weeks it started leaking. I thought maybe I just spill water when I replaced it but after it happened 4 times and the last time was my whole bench covered in water, I knew it was the kettle. I believe it is leaking from the underside of the bottom of the handle. This is extremely dodgy and unsafe - likely an electrical fire risk.Besides the leak... I love the kettle, albeit the constant beeps for everything are annoying, but the asthetics are nice and it fits well in the corner, isn't too bulky and is easy to hold. I will need to replace it now.
Love this kettle. Now that I've been using a Breville temp set kettle I could never go back my old standard model. So convenient being able to select a desired temperature.The shape of the kettle and lovely color of Atlantic Blue makes it a very handsome piece sitting on my kitchen bench.
This kettle beeps when you plug it in, when you lift it off the base, when you put it down on the base, will beep 5 times when if boils and then any time you want to push any of the buttons.Just to make a basic run of the mill cup of tea with will beep 11 times throughout the process. That's before pressing any of the additional feature buttons.We called Breville to ask how to turn the beeps off and they say you can't. The beep is loud and very unpleasant. I do not recommend this kettle for that reason alone. It is beautiful and the features are lovely, I am sad that I won't be able to use it because it's exactly what I was looking for otherwise.

Unfortunately our experience has dented our confidence in Breville "hi-tech" appliances.
This is a nice slim streamlined kettle which matches well with the sage green toaster. i bought it for the different temperature settings which are the biggest drawcard- and it does boil it to those temperatures. It beeps when it is finished. Easy to use, and great design. Would purchase again.
Just bought this nice kettle, the whole family is complaining about the loud piercing beep.When you lift the kettle off the base, what is the purpose of the beep? Think about that. What information is it telling me that I don't already know. Replacing on base the same.There is no instruction to disable the beep.Come on Breville's Australian engineers, tell me how to silence it, or I'll have to return it.A nice product, spoilt.
