Thealoz Duo is a completely new and unique alternative in the management of dry eyes. Thealoz Duo works by adding moisture to hydrate and lubricate the surface of the eye, as well protecting the cells of the cornea and conjunctiva, giving resistance to dryness. This makes it the perfect for choice for all dry eye sufferers. Thealoz Duo contains: 3% trehalose, a unique natural disaccharide, which protects the cells of the cornea and conjunctiva; 0.15 % sodium hyaluronate holds the water in the tears because it acts like a sponge, retaining water and releasing it slowly. The drops can be applied as often as necessary throughout the day. Thealoz Duo is presented as a sterile, preservative-free, isotonic, and pH neutral aqueous ophthalmic solution, in the ABAK system bottle and is contact lens compatible. These multidose bottles can be used for up to 3 months from opening but are no bigger than a standard multi-dose unit.
