Theragun Prime

I’ve had this Theragun Prime for over a year. I first ordered the top of the line one. It was too big and powerful for my petite frame (I’m 5’2†). My hands were almost too small to hold it and it was just too big overall. The Theragun uses percussive therapy to do deep tension treatments and it can: reduce muscle soreness and stiffness, decrease stress, help you move easier and aid in faster warmup and recovery just to mention a few of the benefits. It has an intuitive app with Bluetooth that offers guided routines as well as controlling the gun and other features. The Prime model is perfect because it’s smaller and lightweight, but still has the power (120 minute ion lithium battery), 16 mm amplitude for deep muscle treatment, 5 speeds and the Proprietary brushless motor with QuietForce Technology (it really is pretty quiet for what it does!). It also has a triangle ergonomic handle design, that I really appreciate along with the other features because I have pretty bad rheumatoid arthritis and chronic pain / back and spine problems that have me at a pain management center once a month. This has 4 easy to clean, non- porous , closed cell foam attachments instead of the 5 that come with the two models above this, but I solved that by purchasing that attachment! This has a nice travel pouch and is the perfect size to travel with (they make a mini, but it looks TOO small). This is different from any other massager because of the percussive therapy technology…it just vibrates DEEP DEEP DEEP into your muscles and tissues and it truly feels like you got a massage. I can’t believe how much it has helped with my bursitis, sciatica, and other incredibly painful areas. Plus, it feels GREAT after a workout or a long day to release tension in my shoulders. If you’re a man, this will definitely work for you, but you may want to go bigger. If you’re a lady, especially petite, this is enough. I recommend buying the charging stand too, btw. This is one of my favorite purchases

Absolute Miracle for Muscle Recovery

Purchased this for my girlfriends birthday and she absolutely loves it. Being both physically active we needed an at home solution for recovery and this has been amazing.I pondered over getting the more expensive versions (Pro, Elite) but so glad I didn't spend the additional. This is more than powerful enough and that's even using the lower settings. The only reason I would suggest splurging to the higher-end versions is if you absolutely need to get to certain areas on your back without any assistance. This can be a little difficult to reach everywhere but not impossible due to it's handy design. But is that really worth the additional few hundred? Very happy with this purchase.

Excellent Percussive Message Gun!

This is a really great mssage gun with lots of power. It comes with four different tips that easily lock secury and remove easily. It is chargeable and portable so I take it with me everywhere. The charge holds suprisingly longer than I ever expected. This is a quality message gun that so far has worked excellently for me. I highly recommend it.There is one con at first use that I experienced, it may realease some blue grease from the tip area, so I recommend to run the messager in the up position for a while at the very first use as it breaks in. After this it should be fine with no more issues. Since its a very powerful tool I didnt deduct a star because it only happened initially and some tools usually require some prep.

It works!

I bought this for my husband who was going to PT several times a week after a knee replacement. It had already been a year and he was still having pain so this kind of massage gun was recommended to him. He uses it consistently and absolutely loves it. He was skeptical when I bought it for him but he comments daily how much it helps him. We also have several family members that use it and love it after they work out or are sore. I’ve tried using it on my shoulder neck area but it’s too powerful for me. I can handle about 30 seconds on each side and it definitely loosens the tight muscles in my neck but It isn’t my favorite to use it. It’s not a relaxing massage but it works to break up the muscle.

Life Changing Relief

This thing has changed my life. I have major hip/SI joint issues… which causes my upper leg/hip/butt/lower back muscles to tense up a lot. I went to so much physical therapy and they tried everything to help get my Piriformis muscle to relax… heat ultrasound, massage, stretches, etc. The only thing that finally worked was dry needling.… but after six months it was irritating me again… hard as a rock. This thing is powerful enough to really get in there and give relief. It’s not feasible for me to go to physical therapy all the time for dry needling. This has prevented any further issues, and has really changed my quality of life for the better…. It gives me significant relief. You control the pressure by how hard you push, or don’t push. So, as far as power… don’t be worried about it pushing too hard…. You control that.The only thing I would change is the handle…. I can reach almost all areas, but a longer handle would make it easier and more comfortable to reach certain areas (center of the back, for example).It’s important to note that I’ve never used any other massage guns. However, my sister used this one of mine, and then purchased a much cheaper one (different brand) and said it didn’t even compare.This thing gets it done!

Not even close to what I was expecting

My wife and I like to give each other massaged by hand and I was too tired to do it so I suggested "lets go buy one of those massage guns". I am definitely returning this and here's why.First off - you HAVE to use the app. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but the device has controls on it that do nothing. You have to use the app to control the speed or do anything. I can't even believe that.Second - the minimum setting is bonkers. I figured the lightest setting would be a slow massage that felt nice and it would ramp up to a rather fast setting. Not at all. Even the minimum rattles your entire skeleton. If you use it on your back and even glance your spine it honestly hurts. I expected like soothing and relaxing, but this thing is downright uncomfortable. A few too many falls with some heavy equipment did him in and 2 back surgeries later...here we are. He is always in constant pain so we look for ways to try and manage that. We bough a cheap percussion massager off the Amazon, and it worked..until it didn't. I had to crank that thing all the way up and almost put my whole body weight on it for him to find any relief. So a year after dealing with that...we purchased th Terabody Prime. OH-MY-LANTA! We should've done this right from the start! Not only does it deliver a better more even pressure, on it's own. The results last HOURS LONGER that anything he got from the cheaper version. Powerful massager and a great quality build

I was hesitant spending this much on a massage gun, but really needed relief in my glutes and quads after running. I am SO glad I purchased this. The battery life is great - took it away for the weekend without the charger, and it didn't run out of steam. I use it on the couch while watching tv - only have to turn the volume up a little over the hum of the gun - and it's a game changer - painful in some areas but really helps relax those muscles. It's well built and very sturdy, and doesn't get hot with long use, and believe me, you'll want to use it for a good 1/2 hour at least - it feels so good! The handle is well designed, and reaching to different areas of your body is easy and comfortable. Theragun Prime after 3 weeks.

So for about 3 weeks I have been using the Theragun Prime religiously. Though very powerful indeed I fail to feel the differences between the 2-4 levels. It’s either setting at 1 or at 5. Minus one star. The label on the box proudly says 120 minutes of massage time. So far I have only experienced about 50 minutes tops, before the Theragun Prime dies out and this in need for another charging round. Minus another star.I choose Theragun on account of other reviewers stating the motor sound level is more subdued than the less priced massage hand helds. However, this has the same noise level exactly like the massage gun offered at Costco. Minus another star. I absolutely love the ergonomics.
