This is the sleeping pad I'll be sticking with. I find this more reliable than an air pad; no need to worry about it deflating or being noisy (I move a lot in my sleep). Waaaaay more comfortable than the closed-cell foam pad I used to use. Defintely not as compact as an airpad, but I strap it to the outside of my pack. Worth the trade-off because I have way better sleep now. I'm 5'3" and think this pad is perfect for my size. It allows just enough leeway for me to slide down a bit if i am forced to sleep on a slight slope. Haven't had to use it in temps below 50F so I can't comment on how it deals with cold weather.

I don’t know many who venture into the backcountry without a light, dependable, somewhat expensive Thermarest. This model gives a reasonable compromise between weight & comfort - although we haven’t put this specific model to the test yet, I have no reason to believe it won’t live up to the high expectations my other two Thermarest sleeping pads have created - around 13 & ~ 10 years old, respectively - by both still going strong after heavy use all around the world. There are cheaper and lighter alternatives (and also much bulkier & heavier), but there is a good reason so many people invest in these - the perfect middle ground.

Easy to inflate, but not easy to deflate. Bulky and does not pack small, i tried to sit on it and use compression belt as much as i could but still felt it took almost same space as my sleeping bag. On the comfort factor, it is comfortable for top sleeping, side sleepers might find it little thin. I got the regular size but still felt the width is tight and throughout the night i felt my shoulders and hands were dropping out of the pad all the time, which made it uncomfortable for me. Dint make too much noise. Also i felt the pad is bit slippery as the spot i pitched my tent had a little incline and i kept slipping of the pad. Overall for the price point, this is decent pad with good R value. But I am returning it to get something else which will work better for me

This is a very comfortable sleeping pad for the price point, and the valve definitely makes inflation easier. However, the "Trek and Travel" branding is pretty misleading. Even when compressed down as far as possible (which is a feat in and of itself), this pad is big, cumbersome, and awkward. I've found no good way to bring it backpacking- when inside, it consumes a third of the space in my pack; when outside, it throws me off balance. For car camping, this is a great choice. If backpacking is your priority, there are definitely pads-self inflating or otherwise- in this price point that are easier to compress and pack and just as comfortable.
I got this sleeping pad for my son to replace his youth-sized pad. He’s only 5’4 right now so this pad will allow him years to grow and hopefully not need another one. It’s easy to inflate and deflate and provides enough comfort while sleeping. The only complaint I have is that I find the sack it comes with is a tad too small. It’s a struggle to get the pad back in. I find that with another Thermarest pad we have as well. Otherwise, a good pad for the price!
This is my first inflatable pad, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. I have always used a foam pad for backpacking or an air mattress for car camping. This pad is really all I need for both now.I just completed a backpacking trip up Big Frog Mountain in the Cherokee National Forest of East TN. I only used it one night, but I slept great! The night time temp only got down to about 48deg, but the ground was damp from recent rain and the terrain was uneven. I was using a small 2person backpacking tent, but I forgot my tent ground cloth at home. I was very warm and comfortable all night.I unpacked the rolled pad from my backpack, placed it in the tent, opened the valve to let it self-inflate, then I added a few breaths to inflate it to max. I was very warm and comfortable all night.I unpacked the rolled pad from my backpack, placed it in the tent, opened the valve to let it self-inflate, then I added a few breaths to inflate it to max. When I laid down on it, I opened the valve just slightly to reduce some air pressure for comfort. I was able to sleep on my side without touching the ground. I slept better than I usually do in a tent. I am 6', 190lbs and the regular size was fine. The next morning, it packed easily. It is not the smallest when packed but still pretty light. The price is right, too.I will buy another for my son.
2 nights backcountry on this pad, and I really like it so far! Quite large, 1.5 times wide vs. the regulars pads I've used before. Same length. Very good for people with wide shoulders. The packed size is big though, as big as my sleeping bag (~4L). The foam is nice, and provided a smooth and warm surface for sleeping. Some give can be had by lowering PSI. The valve seems very sturdy and is easy to inflate. Really the only downside is the large packed size.
The sleeping pad has been deflating overnight since the very first time I used it. The pad is not very suitable for backpacking as it is quite bulky. Additionally, the company claims that it is impossible that the product was defective from the start, and so they charged me for shipping and repair as their warranty does not cover punctures. I do not recommend this product.
The sleeping mat was lightweight and not too space consuming in my rucksack. It did a great job of keeping me warm at fairly high altitude where the temperature dropped to -2 at night. I still felt warm. It was also extremely comfortable to sleep on, it didn’t slide around like my previous mats. It was quick to inflate and deflate, it was also easy to roll away and back into its stuff sack. Really pleased overall.
Tried it at home on a hardwood floor. Works and is comfortable and I am looking forward to taking it camping. I have nothing to compare it to, however, other than a cheap no-name one that was noisy and made me roll off. This is definitely better than that! I did expect it to ba a little smaller when rolled up but again, no experience.
